Thats the problem with Naija, if you are inviting over, you will have to spend money to fuel gen whether there is light or not and if you put i better pass my neighbor the fume can kill the both of you inside . Secondly, Most Nigerian girls are not always comfortable with coming over to a guys house at the first date, and when u try to insist she comes over, it makes it look like you have something in mind . So i always like her to be comfortable before she decides to come to my house, she does not come acting like a stranger .

For those who have graduated that might be thinking of marrying a guy, the average of their kind . Normally, they will say they cant go to a guys house on the first date. Then when u ask them where you will meet, they will tell you a public place .We all know that the markets, under the bridge, bus-stops, etc are all public places, but thats not what they mean.

If you go further to ask like where, they will be like " i dont know, maybe an eatry or the mall" Both eatry and mall are the same, because you have eatries in the mall and you wont just be walking around the mall window shopping.

True, but this is Nigeria, when you have talked a while and decide to meet in a public place, there will be food and drinks involved . The drinking garri will be when she is comfortable enough to come to your house.

In some countries in the west, a lady can come to your house on the first date and you make food or order, but let say for security reasons, thats not the case in Nigeria.
