APGA Interactive Forum gathered that fighting broke out at Kanilai military camp Gambia some hours ago as soldiers loyal to the rebel leader and ex president Jammey Yahya refused to surrender to the regional force ECOMOG who entered Gambia this evening to chase out Jammey.
Kanilai camp, This FORUM learnt is surrounded and being shelled right now.
The commander of the Kanilai camp Gen Savage was approached and he wasn't cooperative, a Gambian source stated. "Bora Colley and Savage were called on their cells and asked to hand over themselves. They refused and open fire to the ECOMOG troops. As we write this piece, Kanilai is Surrounded", he stated.
Gambians especially civilians are advised to "Please stay in doors, to allow the ECOWAS troops do their job".
