How can there be dark matter galaxies ? Been wondering how there stars will look like. |
I don't think sports betting should be ban. But I suggest another section be created for it. Can't understand coming to sports section to read sports news only to be faced with betting topics all over the place. Betting has made me lost interest in Sports section. No more solid news about sports. The section is now very boring, filled with unnecessary betting threads. Something should be done about it,thank you. Shalom. |

Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, whose election into the Senate was recently nullified by the Court Appeal, in this interview with journalists in Awka, spoke on her defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, her chances in the new party and against Chief Victor Umeh and why Anambra Central must not give their votes to a neophyte to become senator.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/01/the-story-of-my-trip-to-apc-ekwunife/

If Edo civil servants can jubilate because they received their Nov salaries in December, then I wonder what they expect Anambra civil servants should do as they have almost finish their Nov salaries that has been paid since... |
I must really commend Obiano for his focus. Even though he miscalculate some times and has his flaws. I can really say the man is very much doing his best. Love the way Awka new outlook is gradually taking shape. My advice is that as he is working,he shouldn't forget other LGAs. I said this because I noticed much attention are being concentrated around Awka,Onitsha and Aguleri axis. For now,he has my thumb-up. Anambra gadi... Shalom. |
What can I say ? |
FreeGlobe:Did you just said those guys are nothing except uba ? Did you know how Obiano came to win APGA guber primary ? Did you know it was Peter Obi that saved Obiano from Ekwunife ? Do you know what it means to win one third of a state in an election ? Did you know that Chime being a gov couldn't have all his way because of Ekweremadu ? You call a senator nothing ? Bia,are you a politician ? Freeglobe, pls don't go there Guys with resources to give any governor a running battle, you are addressing as nothing. Did you know that during the senatorial election, Ngige confessed that his greatest fear is Ekwunife and not Umeh. Freeglobe,do not neglect any politician in govt. Shalom |
Obiano should be concerned about these guys...

N75bn controversy: Ex-Anambra gov, Obi speaks at last November 18, 2015 at 12:10 am in News FacebookTwitterSMSWhatsApp The former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has finally broken his silence on the controversy raging over the actual amount he left in the coffers of the state when he left office. His response came via a text message we sent after several unanswered calls. Obi and Obiano His reply: “Let me put the records straight concerning the unnecessary controversy over debt and the 75 Billion Naira in investment & cash my government left. I left office almost two years (over 600 days) ago and I will not comment on the statements of my successor, or his proxies. “All I can confirm is that we never borrowed from any bank in Nigeria, issued any bonds or owed any certificate for jobs executed when we left office. We handed certified accounts statements. Whatever we said we left is properly documented. Copies of same were made public at an event in Women Development Centre, Awka. “The Managing Directors of the three banks in which the respective sums were domiciled and the incumbent governor were in attendance. Should it be that the government has lost or misplaced its own documents, it can approach the banks. I will also make myself available within 48hrs, complete with my own copies of the documents; as I still have them. “I will not be seen as working against the progress of Anambra State, a state I did everything possible to put on the right track. All I can tell you is that I will earnestly continue praying for my successor to build a better Anambra State for our children. “My heart bleeds whenever Anambra is on the news for the wrong reasons. I am also earnestly praying for the President of Nigeria to build a better Nigeria. I am presenting Nigeria as a most attractive investment destination in Africa to my class at Cambridge University at 2p.m. today (yesterday).” It would be recalled that Anambra State government had called a press conference on Saturday and alleged that Obi left a debt of over 100 Billion for his predecessor. His Media aide, Mr. Valentine Obienyem described the claim as untrue, challenging Anambra State government to publish the contracts and the names of those being owed. He further called on Association of Anambra Accountants to set up an independent committee to look into Anambra finances as at March 17th, 2014, to ascertain the actual amount Obi left in the treasury, insisting that Anambra State is looking for justification for the massive loans they had concluded to take from financial institutions. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/n75bn-controversy-ex-anambra-gov-obi-speaks-at-last/ |
A very beautiful hospital I must say. Thumb up for Obijackson. And for freeglobe,I only laugh when you say someone is crying because of Obiano. See,I don't hate Obiano but I must tell that he is engaging in this fight at a very wrong time. In politics, nobody is irrelevant. Underestimate any politician at your own peril. That Obj lost his booth does not mean he can't influence buhari. That Ngige is minister today doesn't mean Obi cannot tomorrow. My people, this is politics. Whoever thought victor umeh and Uche ekwunife will reconcile ? Only yesterday, they were enemies. Let us stop taking this quarrel too personal. Those we are fighting for may decide to be friends tomorrow. Then the shame will be on us. Obiano and Obi should desist from this fight maka odi mma Ndi Anambra. I was in Unizik during Ngige/Uba saga. The whole system of governance collapsed because of that fight. We shouldn't encourage this fight unless we don't love our dear state. Because at the end it is we Ndi Anambra that will suffer for it. These men are made men,and they have nothing to loss. Our effort should be calling both to order, and not inflaming it. Shalom... |
Now,I am beginning to understand freeglobe personality more clearly. It just a pity to see what hatred can cause in ones life. Arguing blindly even when you are meant to stop ? Haba bro, show some maturity. This is getting out of control. See,let me tell you. Obiano is trying in Anambra state but I must say he miscalculated politically by allowing his fight with Obi to linger on. This is his first tenure and he knows the people that can't for him to finish it before another election. He needs allies not enemies. He knows the consequences of Anambra central and south senatorial gang up against him can cause. Politically,Anambra north senatorial zone will stand no chance ( check history of voting pattern in anambra). Now,PDP controls all the senate seats, more than half of HoR with strong men. The report from HoA is not encouraging too. Brother, this is politics. Obiano doesn't need this fight now. And to all those urging Obiano to keep the fight on are not wishing him well. Obiano should concentrate on giving Ndi Anambra divident of democracy, and not trying to fell into his opponent trap. The fight for 2017 has started,he should know how he pick the fight. There are a very strong men interested in that seat, and they are waiting for him to make a mistake. He shouldn't allow himself the distraction, and he doesn't need the fight now. It can affect his govt negatively. Peace and progress is what we want in Anambra state. Shalom... NB: Pls ignore my typo error, typing with sleepy eyes. Thanks |
Just SMH... |
I am really ashamed of this man. Does he think he is still the APC spokesman ? Minister of information indeed. Insulting Nigerians, thinking he is passing information ? That's disappointing. Shalom. |
Peter Obi is a thief. Peter Obi is a fraudster. Peter Obi is a ritualist. Peter Obi is a useless human being. Freeglobe, shey you are happy now ? OK,let's move on... Maka odim mma ndi Anambra. Anambra ga di... Shalom |
Peter Obi never said he left 75b naira in liquid cash. Obiano is almost saying the same thing Obi said. The difference is that most of the contracts awarded by Obi attracted a lot of debt which the present govt is fighting to offset. Beside,I wonder what Obiano is trying to achieve with this report. He said it during his inauguration, that his govt is a continuity one. Other state govts left huge debts in their states and nothing has happened. What crime did Obi committed by leaving penny ? Pls,we should move on. Afterall,Obiano is the governor now and not Obi. We should be more concern with the present and not the past... Shalom |
Breaking News : Obi Left N9 Billion Not 75billion as Speculated -ANSG …. Obiano inherited a total contract sum for all projects of N185.1Billion Obiano Anambra state government today, 14th November 2015, addressed the contentious issue of whether the immediate past administration of Mr. Peter Obi left N75 Billion in the coffers of the state government while leaving office 19 months ago saying that he left N9 Billion liquid cash and not the N75 Billion as been speculated. The former governor had claimed while leaving office after two terms that he kept N75Billion in government coffers for his successor, Chief Willie Obiano. The claim became controversial when some officials of the present administration led by Obiano tried to dispute it late last year in hushed voices. At a media briefing inside the conference room of the government house in Awka, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu flanked by other members of the State Executive Council (SEC) said that the Obi administration as at March 2014 upon handover had approximately a cash balance of N9.0 Billion left in the coffers, while local and foreign investments, refunds and bank balances stood at N75.0 Billion. He said that there were equity investments made by the previous administration captured in its handover note which have potential to earn money but are not tradable, while there are yet other assets that are tradable and could be converted to cash but have not. He also said that there were expenses made on counterpart funding which the previous administration made in other to get money from donor agencies and that these monies didn’t yield anything. Moreover, he said that the Obiano administration was yet to assess the $155m foreign currency investment the state made in Eurobonds and other foreign denominated securities held with Access Bank, Fidelity Bank and Diamond Bank and that given the current decline in Nigeria capital markets, this portfolio of Eurobonds had a market value of approximately $132m (26.4B) reflective of prices dated September 21, 2015. “If Anambra State Government (ANSG) were to liquidate the portfolio, the state would incur a US $ loss of US $32m (14.8%) a Naira loss of N100M, respectively”, he said. The Obiano administration he said had appointed a reputable investment banking firm named Afrinvest West Africa Limited to optimally manage the investment portfolio. Prof. Chukwulobelu said the Obiano administration inherited a total contract sum for all projects totaling N185.1Billion from Peter Obi’s administration, paid #35.1 Billion on these inherited projects between March 2014 and August 2015, while the sum of N11.7Billion had been paid for projects initiated by him directly. He refuted insinuations that it was from the #75Billion left by Obi for his successor that he uses to pay salaries of workers without applying for bailout from Federal government. He said that the feat was rather fallout of prudent management of the state government’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) which rose from #500M from his assumption of office to #1.5Billion monthly as well as resources from the federation account. |
Freeglove, did Peter Obi said he left 75b naira as liquid cash ? |
Aswama went on strike since Wednesday last week because of salary non-payment. They only resumed work yesterday. I can only say; Governance have really slowed down in Anambra. Obiano need to up the tempo again. Shalom |
Chizoba, pls ignore that guy. Have noticed that good manners are lacking in him. |
