Though I passed the test, I still feel this test is unfair. The bank preyed on the anxiety of people and used it against them. I don't really agree that this stuff is a 'Test of attention to details' as opined by the bank because given the context of a messed up server and a limited time, 'Read all questions before answering them' is most likely to be interpreted as reading Each questions carefully before answering. It was a dubious and misleading test and I still believe sterling should have done better than this.

Dubious is indeed the word. Had they put "Answer" and "Read Next" together, it would have made more sense because most people wouldn't have known you can go to the next question by clicking "Next" without answering the question at all. In other tests,that's not even possible.

Can't connect past Q1. No such Q17 instructions before starting the test. Not in mails or the introduction before you click Start Test. Therefore the instruction should be in the questions themselves. If so,then Sterling haven't provided a level playing field because some cannot go beyond Q1 to see that critical instruction. Best of luck to everyone as we continue our job hunt.

lynxnoon: Charged it from about 9pm-12am and the battery went from 10%-70% using the Samsung charger... Guess you are right then ... Also the heating reduced too

For me I'd say average of 24hrs on light use and 10-12hrs for heavy use
It's quite OK for the hardware specs and price.... My only snag would be the very lengthy period it takes for a complete charge

Here's the final battery diary entry. As a test,played music absolutely nonstop from 7:30am till 5pm with 3g network throughout with battery starting at 100%. Surfed the web consistently throughout that period. The battery level is now at 31%. That's almost 10 hours later. No games played. I believe these series of posts give as clear a picture of battery performance. Just look back through the posts for earlier battery tests/reviews

Here's another battery diary entry. As a test,played music absolutely nonstop from 7:30am till 5pm without network throughout. Battery was at 85%. Put on network on edge and played games(subway surf, virtua tennis). Also did light browsing(goal.com,Facebook,nairaland obviously, etc),chatting and recorded a 3 minute video between 5pm and 8:03pm battery was at 71%. Today i'll do the 3g test

lynxnoon: Can't say if the fault is from the way I started charging but observed that I had to garage from around 9am to about close to 5pm to get a full 100% charge.... And now it's at 85%.. Did light browsing, watched a 35min video and the signal was on 3G most of the time
Also noticed the phone gets hot around the charging port when charging through an AC adapter
Hope I won't have to take it to Carlcare to have a look at it

that's odd. mine doesn't heat up. the phone does take a while to charge. from 0 to 100% takes 4 to 5 hours. this long charge time has been solved for the phantom a by getting a good Samsung charger. haven't got mine yet so I can't say if it works for m7 for sure.

The battery as at 4:52pm is 67%. let's have other experiences so we can come up with an average figure of the m7's battery's longevity

About the battery let me put it like this. no matter what you're doing it will last you 8 hours. play games,3g on,listen to music, etc. 8 hours from 100%.

very fair points you've made. why I mentioned the sim2 thing was because I was trying to compare Airtel 3g to mtn's 3g in my area and was surprised that I had to switch off and swap sims. I had assumed wrongly that both Sims would be 3g capable. by default the Sim1 has 2G&3G while Sim2 has only 2G . . . .which for me its reasonable cos most pple get (like me) got the phone in other to carry my other sim which i use to just receive calls and sms; i use the Sim1 to run my data plan . . look at it u cant run two data plans at the same time now.

I also noticed it its on wifi or 2G only the battery last longer than when its on 3G/H+

But once you finish the first 1.5gb, the remaining 3gb cnt be used in the day... That means if you want to use it in the day also you'll hav to use only 1.5gb...
