I use the recommended 5w20, I buy the Mobil 1.

Well, the leak is reduced but I still have to replace the oil switch.

How was your oil the problem? Were you using the recommended oil? What product do you use now?

Sorry I'm just seeing this, I actually switched to Mobil 2000, 5w 30 as that is the OEM recommendation and everything stopped immediately the change of oil.

I was using that glorified red oil (visco 2000).

Good day OP please help!!

The under of my Accord 05 was always wet, so I went to change oil seal yesterday. Asides this, I was driving ok. Although it was smoking a little, not too noticeable.

After the mechanic was done changing the seal, there was a loud screeching sound coming from the alternator axis. After a while it stopped, the guy then said my engine was too high. He did some adjustments.

Now, the rpm is less than 1000, it's at 500. The car is vibrating and jerking as if it wants to stop. In fact on the way home, the car went off.

It is now smoking heavily!!! Thick black smoke coming out. The silencer area is now black with soot. I notice the exhaust is coming out with a lot of force now even when in P.

And worse, it guzzled the entire fuel. To illustrate, it took N2,000 fuel from Egbeda to Mangoro!!!

Somebody please help with knowledgeable suggestions I'm distressed right now. I mean, nothing serious was wrong with the car, I only went for oil seal change!

Which oil is currently in your car? Reason I'm asking is I just finished battling same with my Honda accord 2006 and mehn I spent shege only to find out my oil was the issue.

Good evening senior men, please I need abit of help with my Honda accord 2006, it started accelerating and decelerates on its own, switch off the car off and on and it's still same thing, removed battery terminal head and it stopped, please anyone experienced such and how it was resolved. It all started yesterday.

What else gave it away other than the hand break position?

Went to the office to complain, someone contacted me later that night and gave me a 60 digit code that cleared it.

Sorry bro for late response. Mine actually showed the spanner icon and a negative reading. My friend who works there told me to recharge again and it worked.

Yours is quite different. Probably, I'll help you call him to confirm the solution because when I went to their office, they only told me to write a letter of complaint which they didn't attend to until about 2months after.

Its not showing negative, only the spanner icon alone and a hand with paper kinda image too.

I recharged it last week and when I even got home from work, I still had more than 30kW. And the only thing on was my television and the lobby bulb. I think it is a technical fault. I have gone to their office to lodge a complain. I hope they will come and rectify it as soon as possible.

Where is your location?
From the codes, there are evap system malfunction, CTS sensor malfunction etc. amongst the transmission codes. There's no harm trying to replace the sensors or solenoids on the transmission and observing.

Please i need help as im kinda stuck, i own a Honda DC 2006 V4, i noticed some weeks back the car was dragging so i went to my mechanic who checked the gear oil and it was smelling burnt, i changed it with Honda Genuine(red cover) and travelled with the car same day to Ibadan and came back through abeokuta, now at ewekoro the car wont change gear, i switched it off and on and after like 3mins drive did the same, managed it to abule egba and parked it, went to a gear mechanic on recommendation and changed the gear oil again as it was smelling burnt already "again" (space of less than 1week) chairman spoil gear finish, car wont even engage anymore, i scanned the code and found below code, please and please i need help with interpretation and advice, if i should buy another gear or its a wiring or sensor problem.

Please help me, i visited a roadside gear mechanic on recommendation and the guy spoilt my gear, Honda DC 2006, i scanned the car and got these codes, i just want to know if i should settle for another gear or try repairing this one, found below codes.

P2185,P0341,P1734,P0780,P0443,P0756,P0722.

I dont want to buy a gear and find out it was a wiring problem, i just want help please.

2003 honda accord delays to move when engaged in "". Even when it finally moves it disengages on motion, i have to rev the car high before it picks up again, and it doesn't switch to gear 2. I have replaced gear oil & filter due to this, still no change. I cleaned out the "solenoid sensor" beside the gearbox and samething still happens. Anytime it delays in moving when i shift to D the green light near D starts blinking with check engine light. I scanned and it showed "shift solenoid A valve stuck open" sometimes it's "shift solenoid B valve stuck opened". It just dangles between both and if i off the car and on it again the blinking stops and check engine goes off but comes back after a while

I met several gear mechanics,they tell me the gearbox is gone,i should go get another gearbox or rebuild the one on it, even without scanning. I personally don't feel it's true and from research i have been making, some people still experience such even after replacing the gearbox.

Please anyone who had experienced this before and how did you get it resolved because car has been resting since before Christmas.

Error 1. The first O2 sensor located right after the exhaust manifold is likely disconnected, bad or the fuse has blown fuse 42-45 located at the fusebox in the engine compartment near the engine.

Error 2. The camshaft position sensor is at the top left side of this engine, its fitted to the top of cylinder just before the spot the plastic intake manifold bolts to the engine. Sometimes metal shaving magnets to this sensor preventing it from proper readings (pull it out and clean it), in another case your camshaft may have been misaligned, third scenario is mostly a faulty sensor that needs replacing.

Error 3 is pointing to a damage to the lobes of the camshaft, this lobe pushes the the piston plunger of the HPFP to deliver fuel as the cams rotates. The damage point may be from a worn out cam follower (the cup fitted to the head of the HPFP plunger), when this occurs the plunger's uneven surface is riding directly in the lobe of the camshaft thereby scraping of metals off the lobe. So here the damaged cam lobe is not able to push the plunger to the maximum point and fuel delivery is not at optimum.

Error 4 knock sensor error is not to be played with, if you ignore this, you'd have a broken timing belt and results in engine damage (bent valves). Moreover you'd notice sluggish acceleration, gear change hesistation, and fuel consumption with this error. So its an urgent error to be treated. Check the wiring, the connector for oil ingression or water intrusion. Clean it well and fit it back properly.

Error 5 this an issue with the wire coming from the ECU which controls the fuel pump control module. The color of this wire is Yellow with a blue stripe. Its located on the 94 pin connector on the ECU. I can't recall the pin number. But you can locate it on the connector, its the only wire with the color code.
