The people that migrated to Delta state are the itsekiris, benis, yorubas and ijaw. The igbos, uhrobos & isokos are indigenous to delta state. There are archival records that show that beni people ran from beni kingdom including their crowned prince after they lost a war to Ishang. In fact 700 years ago, benis migrated to delta state, and onitsha following the defeat of the beni kingdom. Its those people that want to claim land of igbos, uhrobos & isoko as SS or Beni. So when you see people like wike, okowa and others saying they are not igbo even though they speak and answer igbo names, it's true, they are migrants. However the land is not theirs they are settlers .
