The declaration came during a major activist summit convened by Sowore in Abuja. Isah expressed profound personal gratitude toward Sowore, recounting the activist's crucial intervention during his detention by the Department of State Services (DSS). "Sowore was the only person who came to my aid to secure my bail, aside from my wife," Isah revealed. He lauded Sowore's integrity, proclaiming him "the most sincere and dogged leader in Nigeria" and the sole figure equipped to lead the country to success. In a stunning disclosure, Isah revealed private conversations with detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu during a Sokoto prison visit, hinting at Kanu's strategic endorsement of Sowore. Watch video... |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovNK-obVDlo?si=ugaActXmG5Xx7nla Imam Abubakar Abdullahi, a revered Muslim leader from Plateau State, Nigeria, passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 90 in Jos, leaving behind a legacy of extraordinary courage and interfaith harmony. Born on January 1, 1936, he served for over four decades as the Chief Imam of Nghar village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, where he nurtured peace between Muslims and Christians in a region scarred by farmer-herder clashes. Christians in the community had generously donated land for the local mosque, forging bonds of trust that defined his leadership and his calm wisdom. His defining moment came on June 23, 2018, amid a wave of brutal violence. Around 3:00 PM, suspected Fulani herders—numbering about 300 and armed with guns—stormed 10 mostly Christian Berom villages, shooting indiscriminately, torching homes, and claiming many lives. Soldiers stationed nearby fled, leaving over 200 terrified villagers, primarily women, children, and men, to seek refuge in the Muslim enclave of Nghar. At 82 years old, Imam Abdullahi sprang into action without hesitation. He swiftly hid the women and children inside his personal home while ushering the men into the mosque, sheltering a total of 262 Christians under his protection. Word of the refugees spread quickly, and the attackers soon arrived at the mosque and imam’s residence, demanding he surrender the Christians and threatening to raze everything to the ground. Unyielding, the imam lay prostrate on the earth, weeping openly and pleading with them as brothers in humanity. Joined by other Muslims who wailed alongside him, his raw emotion and moral authority stunned the assailants. Astonished, they withdrew without entering the buildings—though they burned two nearby churches in frustration. For the next five days, the imam ensured his guests’ safety, providing food, water, and solace, never once asking them to leave, even during prayers. One survivor later said, “We thank God for this imam. He treated us like family.” |

Odede argued that COPDEM “moves where the wind blows,” insisting that Obi remains the only viable option capable of galvanising nationwide support for the ADC. He outlined key reasons the party must rally behind him, while firmly dismissing and countering remarks credited to ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo, which he described as politically misguided. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2o146t1QzA?si=0peMBPO7dz3cqDkw A fresh political realignment may be taking shape as opposition heavyweights reposition ahead of future elections. Speaking on DDM TV, Dr. Marshall Odede, Edo State Secretary of the Coalition for the Protection of Democracy and National Secretary of COPDEM’s Political Committee, revealed that veteran political figures Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi and Aminu Tambuwal — whom he described as the “Old Brigades” — may be joining forces with Peter Obi to craft a new strategy aimed at unseating the ruling APC government. The emerging move signals renewed opposition momentum and a possible shake-up of Nigeria’s political landscape. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya9ipImfuTU?si=0vm9J1UM2UetfE4Q President Donald Trump delivered a stern ultimatum to Iran on Monday: end the violent suppression of protesters immediately, or face devastating U.S. military consequences. Trump declared that Iran has crossed critical "red lines"—dangerous boundaries that trigger severe American retaliation—citing credible reports of security forces killing hundreds of unarmed civilians during widespread demonstrations. "If Iran dares to threaten any American interests anywhere, our response will be overwhelming and decisive," the president warned, emphasizing that his administration holds powerful military options including troop deployments and precision airstrikes. In a dramatic revelation, Trump disclosed that Iranian officials contacted him just yesterday pleading for urgent negotiations, a clear sign of the regime's mounting desperation as anti-government protests engulf cities nationwide. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7rTC28NmaE?si=m5qxR87d8oGf8T0d ‘Fubara Is a Threat to Democracy’ — Speaker Amaewhule Barks During Impeachment Proceedings Rivers State House of Assembly initiated formal impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu on Thursday, January 8, 2026, intensifying the state's political crisis. In a plenary session chaired by Speaker Martins Amaewhule, Majority Leader Major Jack tabled a notice of gross misconduct against Fubara, supported by 26 lawmakers. The allegations, under Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution, cite financial recklessness and legislative obstruction—including failure to submit budget documents, unauthorized expenditures, diversion of House and Service Commission funds, demolition of the Assembly complex, and disregard for financial autonomy court orders. Siminalayi Fubara and Ngozi Odu are nothing but a threat to our nascent democracy. If they are allowed to remain in office, I do not know what will become of our democracy. They are moving about from place to place, spending taxpayers’ money without approval. Governor Fubara is a mistake. Rivers State has never had it this bad.Rivers Assembly Speaker, Martins Amaewhule

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrxLlQZP-XM?si=n3ym_CpI0Y6KHaVY Peter Obi has aligned with Kenneth Okonkwo on the expediency of abandoning the ailing Labour Party. Okonkwo (now an ADC Stalwart) was once a spokesperson for the Labour Party and ardent member of the Obidient Movement before he switched allegiance, citing Obi's paucity of effective political strategy and leadership. On several occasions, Okonkwo warned Obi against remaining in the Labour party as this would hamper his political ambition. Recently, Obi's eventual defection to the ADC meant that he had had Okonkwo's warnings at heart, as a political ally. In this connection, Odiakpo, an APC chieftain and former governorship candidate in Delta State berated Obi as a weak politician for his defection. However, the insightful analysis of the former's statement in this video reveals nothing, but fallacy, envy, fear and propaganda on the part of the APC advocate. |

Dokubo, who now serves as the Amanyanabo of Torusarama-Piri in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, made this commitment during a courtesy visit by Wike to his palace. The visit, as reported by The Punch, formed part of Wike’s end-of-year tour of Rivers communities, during which he has been expressing appreciation to supporters and quietly strengthening grassroots political structures in favour of Tinubu ahead of the next general elections. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7O7Lh0mTyY?si=2MpTUni3zmmTU_Hb What began as a dignified celebration quickly turned into comic relief at Obuofia-Namkpu village in Mbaukwu town, Awka South LGA of Anambra State, during the maiden “Namkpu Day: Award Presentation Ceremony,” an event organised to honour indigenes who have contributed to the town’s growth and development. As masquerades flooded the venue to entertain the crowd—and solicit financial favours from motorists and passers-by, sometimes forcefully—one daring masquerade stole the spotlight after abandoning all mystique to scramble alongside humans for flying banknotes sprayed by a wealthy son of the soil, leaving the audience in stitches. |

President Donald Trump announced the "powerful and deadly" operation on Truth Social, stating it targeted ISIS fighters in Sokoto State who had been "viciously killing, primarily innocent Christians" at levels unseen in centuries. US Africa Command (AFRICOM) confirmed the strikes killed multiple terrorists at ISIS camps, conducted at the direction of Trump and in coordination with Nigerian authorities. Nigeria's Foreign Ministry affirmed the joint effort, noting ongoing security collaboration to combat terrorism and violent extremism in the northwest, where Nigerian forces have struggled against overstretched insurgencies. Trump warned of further action if violence persists, following his November order to prepare US military options in Nigeria. |
