PoliticsRe: Peter Obi's Quotes That Set The Internet On Fire. "To You Young People, Take..." by OutofBox: 6:37pm On Oct 03, 2016
Is it I or the Nigerian youths with a problem? In another sane part of the world, this video would have instigated anger, irritation, and sober reflection, rather the appalling revelations made by Mr. Obi was met with cheers and reactions typical of a comedy show.

PoliticsRe: Obama Leaves Nigeria Out Of $110m Peacekeeping Fund by OutofBox: 12:55am On Aug 11, 2014
God bless you.

9jalyte: I want to thank people like Davitogreat, I was almost choking with the first brainless comments of some bubble heads roaming around niaraland, always looking for where to spill the excess bitterness in them. Very shameless fellows who are so proud to display their emptiness by insulting their own country thinking they are Gani Fawenmi. The world has engaged Nigeria on a psychological warfare, the aim is to destroy every sense of patriotism in the citizens, then they will implement the Egyptian and Libyan models of revolution - using the citizens to destroy the country. Every day, every where it is all about Nigeria - CNN, BBC, etc, just as if they were commissioned to burn Nigeria down. The most painful thing is that our young men, who I expected to smarter than the older generation are even showing indications of greater intellectual poverty. they can't see beyond the tips of their noses.

Have you asked your self, why did ECOMOG die. Who really destroyed ECOMOG, and why. Nigeria was the supper power that funded ECOMOG and tackled the west African crises without asking anybody for help. Nigeria was clearly seen as the God-father of west African, and a strong force in Africa. That obviously did not seem cool for some tyrannical countries that will never want any country to make them look irrelevant. Ofcource, for any super country to show her big brother gesture, it has to be in Africa, and all of a sudden, it was being clear that they may turn irrelevant and Nigeria becoming more relevant. Systematically, they used the UN peace keeping force to overshadow ECOMOG/Nigeria, and that was it. Now, they are cementing the long time plan of burying any possible African independent peace keeping force, and some are clapping. This dependence syndrome embedded in some of our people is becoming scary. Who cares if the fund Malawi, are we same?

It is painful that other countries respect Nigeria, I mean, if you have not gone out of Nigeria to see how the other African countries respect Nigeria, you will not understand. Nigeria is the last hope of the black nation, and it means alot to every black man. Any Nigerian that is playing into that strategic destruction plan of some vested interests should look himself in the mirror and call him self a FOOL. Yes, we are not perfect, but who is. do you think oyibos are as good as they project? What do you think you will gain by always messing your self up. We should all focus on rebuilding our intellectual infrastructure, that is the most decayed in Nigeria.

We do not need any support from any country, we can! in fact they should stop insulting us with those petty grants. Over the years they have been giving, what great change has taken place with those. Except we face our challenges, we can never be seen as a force to reckon with.
stop blabbing each time the cook one propaganda against Nigeria, cus if you do, you can as well consider your self as zombie, cus you have been manipulated to act the way some people want you to act and you acted exactly that same way. We will overcome this battle.

CareerForum for Power System Practitioners, Students, and aspiring Engineers. by OutofBox(op): 10:46pm On Nov 14, 2013
I am a young power engineer with some years of experience in the Power industry. I am currently doing my PhD studies in Power system Planning and Optimization outside Nigerian after working for some years in the Nigerian Power industry. I believe with recent developments in the Nigerian Power sector, the immediate Nigerian power need of 20,000MW and the estimated need for 17,000 Power System engineers to man the Nigerian Power industry, there is a need for an idea-exchanging forum.
Please feel free to share your experience, concerns, aspirations, dream etc. God bless.
Art, Graphics & VideoRe: Amazing Paintings Using Fingers Dipped In Ink . by OutofBox: 6:11pm On Jul 15, 2013
Sisi_Kill: There's a man under the bridge that leads to Ikoyi or thereabout (don't ask the name, half the time I have a hard time remembering where I am when I am in Lagos) who does the same thing with charcoal and water....absolutely STUNNING pictures, so beautiful it makes you cry that so much creativity in one teeny tiny finger. Sometimes, it's hard to keep from cursing the wretched Nigerian Educational System which looks down on Arts.

In another country, that under the bridge guy will be celebrated. He'll have his own show in the top galleries and his paintings will be selling for thousands. In Nigeria, he has to contend with half-witted buyers who have very little appreciation for art and believe buy art is doing an artist a favor so they don't starve.

It's so so unfair. undecided
Please can you take some pictures of his (the Guy under the bridge) work and post it. You might just be the source of his breakthrough as you never can tell how far those pictures can go. God bless.
PoliticsRe: Why Do Nigerians Leave Their Light Bulbs On In Day Time. by OutofBox: 6:17pm On May 16, 2013
Although failure in electricity billing system by PHCN provide a justification for leaving bulbs “on” when not needed, we should not forget the moral and environmental side of it. Anytime a light bulb is left “on”, electricity supply to another customer is undermined. This is sad if the electricity supply is critical to the denied customer livelihood or survival. Also every bulb switched “off” when not need reduced environmental and noise pollution. Switching “off “ 14 "60W bulbs" when not needed equals switching “off” a 1000KVA "I pass my neighbor" generator.

In as much as it’s the government’s responsibility to provide basic infrastructures, Nigerians should also learn to contribute. Some road damages can be prevented or ameliorated if the citizenry help maintain a clear drainage
