DaddyJapan: It will help if you attend to the issue at hand with #Facts and not anecdotes sourced from your travelogue.
In 2023, India - with a population of 1.3+ billion - recorded around 23 million births (according to Unicef). Yet we know Nigeria issued 10 million birth certificates the next year!
Given these incontrovertible facts, what inference do you draw?
Have you look at the incidents of child marriages in the North? (I was involved in advocacy geared to instituting the Child Rigts Act, so I know what I am talking about). Do you even realise 7 million young Nigerians seek university admission every year? Point of correction, it's not up to 7 millions admission seekers but 2 millions. |

madridguy: A very accurate and perfect survey.
I hope by the time the FG is ready to do the proper census we won't have any region opposing it.
Meanwhile, I'm laughing at some people trying to fault the stats, no how the South can come near the North in numbers.
Check around and see their governors, the number of their wives, and children and go out there to interview an average northerners, a man of below 30 years old is already with over 5 children. I thank God I have see someone who spoke my mind. This is the fact some Nigerians don't want to accept. |

musa234: Yoruba upon Yoruba.Buhari was bad ,but Tinubu is worst. He is worse because late former president Buhari appointed northerners from North West, North East and north central infact the positions were well distributed among the 3 geo-political zones in the North but you see President Tinubu, he only focus his appointments to his yoruba ethnic group or south west alone to the detriment of the remaining 2 geo-political zones in southern region. |

allthingsgood: The reason is pentecostal churches areore like businesses and they are aggressive with grabbing customers (members), with promise of dividends (Gods blessing). Orthodox churches don't bother. Their preaching is different sef. Orthodox churches like catholic preaches that we were made to serve God. Pentecostal churches preach that God is to serve us, they are more flashy and fun. So which one will you go? |

Even the accent parts of the town are giving way to modernity. I just don’t like the fact that there are still lots of people who didn’t go to school in that city who are mostly Moslems. Ogbomosho dey try. But it’s still far from Illorin’s league. It’s just a bit advanced than Offa in Kwara state then, why is ogbomosho more populated than Ilorin? |

It’s now obvious that the guys at Statisense are high on some cheap Ogbomoso weed.

A number of these churches will be in crises in the near future. With aging GO's, nebulous plans of succession and declining populations, it will be hard to see them maintain the many branches they have around. Infact you have said the truth and nothing but the truth. Kudos! |

Kobojunkie: . The Deeper Life's problem was created by Kumuyi himself, who, for the longest, used many of these backhanded approaches to kick out those who did not adhere to his ideas and rules from the very beginning.
2. Disciplinary actions? You are indeed right that this organization is nothing but a cult. You indicating that others be punished for not following the news ideas of this man, after many decades of his rejecting those same methods, is all the more reason why anyone watching needs to see it for the cult it truly is. |
Politics › Re: Top 10 Poorest States In Nigeria by OVB123: 1:34am On May 05, 2025 |
micflo28: This your analogy does not follow Economic theories of class differences, there is GDP and there is GDP per capita, now the GDP of a State is the total Revenue + Expenditure incurred per annum, while GDP per capita is the total wealth ratio per individual in a state. The op is using the GDP ratio of Ebonyi state, Government holds that data from the States Statistics Agency, the entire revenue the state made in a year can be used to determine the poverty or wealth ratio of a State. If you wish to measure GDP per Capital, Banks will give information about number of people having 500k and above in their accounts, how many individually owned companies are in existence in the state, Car Merchants will give data of how many cars are bought in a year, week or days and cars from 5million naira and above may be used as yardstick to measure the wealth ratio of a State per capita. Ebonyi is poor, if the data is from the government of their total revenue in a year. You are a great economist. Kudos for this write up. |

Obaseki didn't do better in that aspect but I must commend the good work of his predecessor Adams Oshiomhole, who constructed a lot of roads with well pave drainages.
