Good for her.

This is one thing I like about responsible Muslim parents, they'll rather allow their young and matured daughters to get married early than to allow them to be doing:

Hookups
Runs
Testing
Having so-called boyfriends
Getting nonsense experience
Etc.
I'll rather give my daughter out at 19 years as a virgin to a responsible man, than to allow her marry at 25 with 2 BODYCOUNT.
Mind you, an average 25 years 'exposed girl' have at least 10 BODYCOUNT.

If some parents knows how many BODYCOUNT some of their "little lovely angels" have accumulated right under their roof, they'll have heart attack and die immediately.
Some of these innocent looking girls have even done multiple abortions and some are even sleeping with married men.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING MEANINGFUL OR GOOD MORALLY ANYONE GAINS FROM ALL THESE NONSENSE RELATIONSHIPS. IT'S PLAINLY AN AVENUE FOR EXPLOITATIONS, IMMORALITIES, FORNICATIONS AND WASTE OF TIME.
A courtship of just 3 months is enough for anyone who's serious and ready for marriage to know each other. If you like be in relationship with anyone for 20 years, YOU WILL STILL NOT KNOW THEIR TRUE CHARACTER until you marry them and start living with them.
Well said my friend. Kudos!

This will be my final convo with you on this. My time is limited right now.

For your information, CLEARLY since 1981, I've had deep insights from credible historical researches and archival materials on the cultures and histories of many major ethnic groups in Nigeria from the Edos, Yorubas, Igalas, and many more from around the world. So, you are dealing with a veteran of advanced historical knowledge here NOT a young wannabe who just copies and pastes wild speculations but gives history based on facts and credible evidence.

In my posts, I CLEARLY gave credible evidence from 5 good historical sources right BELOW numbered from NUMBERS 1 to 5 who CLEARLY debunked the Ekaladehan banished Ogiso Prince fabrication. Ekaladehan died in Ugboton based on the Benin history book from the late Prof. Egharevba.

1. The Ogiamien family sources who are aboriginal to Benin from the defunct Ogiso era. The one full page 2018 Guardian newspaper interview Weblink that I attached was a MAJOR evidence for you to read.
Ogiso and Ogiamien are Aborigine Binis while Oba Of Benin is of Yoruba origin
=>https://guardian.ng/features/ogiso-and-ogiamien-are-aborigine-binis-while-oba-of-benin-is-of-yoruba-descent-high-chief-esotericist-monday-wehere/

2.I attached the videos of a separate Benin man (Murphy) who is paternally directly descended from the Ogiso era and he ALSO said all the deities such as Ogun, Osun, Olokun, and the Chieftaincy titles in the Palace of the Oba of Benin do NOT exist in the Ogiso era but we're brought from Ile Ife.

All Benin Obas are from ile ife

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2Gf9LUr1-o

3. There is an over 2 hours video interview of a respected indigene and personality from Usen Kingdom in Ovia South West LGA EDO State who also said Oduduwa's lineage is Yoruba and NOT a missing Prince from the Ogiso era. The people of Usen all agree that they are Yorubass from Ife and Oranmiyan's older brother was the FIRST traditional ruler of Usen. This is the reason why in traditional morning salutations, the greet one another with DELAUHE meaning "How is Ife?"

The Oba of Benin is the ONLY one who is greeted with the morning salutation L'AMOGUN referencing Ogun, the Yoruba Deity of War and Iron

The respected Usen indigene ALSO said in the video that ALL the deities such as Ogun, Osun, Olokun, and the Chieftaincy titles in the Palace of the Oba of Benin and USEN where brought by Oranmiyan and his older brother Afelogiyan from Ile Ife Palace which do NOT exist in the Ogiso era but were Yoruba Deities brought from Ile Ife. He gave an example of the Benin High Chief titles such as Esogban which in Usen and Ile Ife Palaces is known originally "as Asogbon" a CLEARLY Yoruba word and Chieftaincy title.

4. The traditionally well-known Ile Ife account from the Ife Palace and academia ALSO confirms that Oduduwa was a Yoruba man from Ile Ife and NOT from a fictional banished Prince from Ogiso era.

5. The erudite scholars, Prof Jide Osuntokun and Prof Banji Akintoye also CLEARLY stated that Oduduwa was a Yoruba man from Oke Ora in Osun State who's grandson Oranmiyan left for what is now Benin via Usen to become an Oba briefly.

6. Finally, I and other historians and scholars strongly affirm that it was during the reign of Oba Erediauwa that a book was published in 2004 which WRONGLY attributing Oduduwa to be the fictitious Ekaladehan figure.

Among the Yorubas, such names with the ODU prefixes exist like Oduduwa, Oduyemi, Odujole, Odubayo, Odusina, Olusola, etc. So, the Oduduwa name is purely of Yoruba origins.

There is NOTHING absolutely wrong in the Oba of Benin linking his family history with the Ogiso era because maternally the Obas are indeed connected to aboriginal roots BUT the paternal roots if the Oba of Benin is of Ife (Ufe or Uhe) origins from over 800 tears ago and there is NOTHING to be ashamed of! Nobody can drive any Oba of Benin away from Benin like some idiots and illiterates have been threatening in videos on YouTube who the Benin guy "Wounded Civilian" angrily exposed to the whole world in his videos for threatening the Benin, Ikwerreand other people in an expansionist agenda.
I have told you what I had to tell you.
Believe it or not what I wrote earlier is what I stand for, any day and any time.
I also know that I'm probably not the first Benin or Edo man that holds this view of Ekaladeran-Oduduwa rift between the Benins and the Yorubas.
As for whether Oduduwa is Yoruba or not, I believe you know better because as at the time Oduduwa came to ile ife, they were people living there.
Let me not go into details about that now. Please, have a good night rest.

I'll give you a detailed response.

Indeed, you are correct because I watched the full coronation video and the current Oba Ewuare II of Benin said so on the day of his October 20, 2016 coronation ceremony BUT he merely rehashed the same fabricated story from the Palace about a fictional Ekaladehan who he falsely claimed was Oduduwa. He did NOT deny his royal family paternal lineage came through Oranmiyan in Ile Ife in Osun State and that Oranmiyan was the FIRST ever Oba of Benin after the Ogiso era ended, but he was highly incorrect in stating that Oduduwa was Ekaladehan from the Ogiso era, and that Oranmiyan was Oduduwa's son. [Oranmiyan was Oduduwa's grandson in reality]. This fabrication was invented during the reign of his father Oba Erediauwa of Benin for internal political reasons especially with the Ogiamien family and some other parts of Edo State who were revolting and asking for more recognition and more.

There was indeed NO missing Prince Ekaladehan in the Ogiso era. The Ogiamien family who are directly descended from the Ogiso era have debunked that lie of a missing Prince called Ekaladehan in several media interviews such as in Guardian newspaper in 2018 which you can still read online in the links BELOW and even revealed that the Oba of Benin's paternal lineage is of Yoruba origin from Ife in Osun State via Oranmiyan. A second MAJOR evidence comes from some other Benin folks whose paternal lineage goes to the Ogiso era who have also debunked the Ekaladehan missing Prince falsehood in widely-circulated videos online and even stated that the real Ekaladehan died at Ugboton. These historical fabrications from the Palace of the Oba of Benin and the High Chiefs have lowered them in the eyes of discerning folks who do NOT compromise on facts. The history of Benin Empire, Ile Ife and Oyo Empire are popular internationally and these kinds of fabrications have led to confusions for a lot of people and students searching for genuine historical information online.

Watch the 2 Videos BELOW and read the articles from and about the Ogiamien family:

1] Ogiso and Ogiamien are Aborigine Binis while Oba Of Benin is of Yoruba origin

Igodomigodo Family - Mar 25 2024

A third MAJOR evidence which also corroborates the ORIGINAL Ile Ife account of Oduduwa's REAL Yoruba origins comes from the people of Usen in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State who are directly of Ufe (Ife or Uhe) descent and have NEVER denied their Yoruba paternal Origins except the Oba of Benin Palace and both are ancestrally direct cousins. The current Oba of Usen Kingdom is Oba Olu Ogbe II who is a direct descendant of Afelogiyan, who is Oranmiyan's biological older brother. As you already know from my post that you quoted, Oranmiyan (whose real names are Oluaiye) and Afelogiyan his older brother who was the FIRST ruler of Usen were Oduduwa's grandchildren. It was from the Yoruba community of Usen that Oranmiyan left to become the Oba in Benin, but as the current Oba of Benin said in that coronation video, he did NOT stay long. This is why Oranmiyan's biological son given birth to by the daughter of an Egor noble man, Oba Eweka took over from his father. His father then returned to Yorubaland and then founded the Oyo Kingdom which then rose to become the mighty Oyo Empire which stretched from Yorubaland in Nigeria to Togo and Oyo Empire incorporated via conquest the current Nupes and Baribas of Kwara State, the Aja, Ewe and Fon peoples of Benin Republic and Togo.

Just as I stated in my original post that you quoted, Oduduwa originally came from the hilly and mountainous Oke Ora just 8 miles away from the current Ile Ife in the same Osun State, and this is the reason why based off of Ufe (Ife) customs and traditions, every Oba (or Ooni of Ife) has to go to Oke Ora as part of the coronation rites. The ancestors of the people you call Yorubas today have lived in autochtonous communities in Yorubaland for thousands of years, long before even Oduduwa was born, so, it's a well-known fact in Ife that the Oduduwa Dynasty is the 3rd dynasty. There are 2 other ruling dynasties that existed in what is now Ife before Oduduwa came. These past Kings were defied as part of the 201 Gods or Deities in Ife.

The current Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom (HRM Oba Frederick Akinruntan) in the oil and gas-rich Ilaje area of Ondo State did clarify in 2004 that his ancestors were the ones originally occupying what is now Ile Ife before Oduduwa arrived BUT in order to avoid further bloodshed, Ifa divination instructed that his ancestors should relocate to another area. This is a well-known fact of history even in Ife inner circles. The previous Alaafin of Oyo Kingdom also confirmed it. So, Oduduwa himself was NOT the direct ancestor of all Yorubas but he is just one of the ancestors. I hope you understand clearly now. Also, you can read the books and articles especially from 2004 of the great historians Professor Jide Osuntokun (Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Germany) and Professor Banji Akintoye who also CLEARLY stated that based on archeological evidence, autochtonous communities existed in Yorubaland long before Oduduwa was born and Prof. Jide Osuntokun did state that Oduduwa ONLY represents the ancestor or progenitor of the current line of the great Kings (Obas) of paternal Yoruba descent from Nigeria to Togo
If you like continue to paddle lies in this forum "Na u Sabi".
One will wonder why you believe oba, when he said he is descendant of Oduwawa and this same time refuse to believe what he also said earlier that Oduduwa was a banished Prince from the Kingdom.
I don't want to go into details of what happened and how it happened but believe it or not, it wasn't Oba Erediauwa that propagated "Oduduwa Benin's son controversy" but an age long believe in Benin kingdom.
As for the videos you posted, it doesn't really matter to us in Benin kingdom/city because even the Ogiemiens know where they rightfully belong in the Kingdom.
Furthermore, in Benin, we only have one king and that is the Oba of Benin.
Oba-kha-tor-kpere, Ise!

I have to step into your convo... You are historically incorrect here.

Usen, Egbeta, and Utese in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State for instance are ancestrally originally of Ufe (Ife) descent from over 900 years ago. The current traditional ruler of Usen (formerly called Ife Kekere) is His Royal Majesty Oba Olu Ogbe, the Olu Awure of Usenland. He is a direct descendant of Afelogiyan, Oranmiyan's biological older brother who was the first ever ruler of Usen. Both Prince Afelogiyan and Prince Oranmiyan who later became the first Oba of Benin are both grandsons of Oduduwa who originally came from Oke Ora [Oke means mountain and Ora is the name of a Yoruba deity) just 8 miles from what is now Ile Ife. This is what is referred to allegorically in Yoruba religious liturgy as the "descent from the sky" of Oduduwa.

Just so you know, the people of Usen speak their Yoruba dialect till today (and also speak Benin language because they are close to Benin and the Palace of the Oba of Benin in terms of ancestry as direct cousins). It was directly from Usen that Oranmiyan went to what is now Benin and become the FIRST ever Oba of Benin after the Ogiso era ended.
This is why Usen plays a strong role during every coronation ceremony of any Oba of Benin. During the coronation ceremony of the current Oba Ewuare II in 2016, he CLEARLY affirmed in the video that he is a direct descendant on the paternal line of Oranmiyan who came from Ife in Osun State to become the first Oba of Benin over 80 years ago and stated that he is the 40th Oba of Benin. So, the people of Usen in Ovia South West LGA of EDO State who have NEVER denied their Ife ancestry (unlike the Oba of Benin's Palace since the time of Oba Erediauwa in the early 2000s for political subterfuge), and they greet one another with the family salutation called DELAUHE meaning "How is Ife?" and all Benin people who have ancestral paternal lineages to Ile Ife from centuries back all engage in the same DELAUHE salutations. The Oba of Benin is greeted or saluted with LAMOGUN emphasizing the connection with Ogun, the Yoruba deity of War and Iron which was introduced from Ife as told by the people of Usen. The material descent of Oba Eweka the son of Oranmiyan is of Egor origin which is aboriginal so, the Oranmiyan Dynasty indeed has Yoruba paternal lineage and aboriginal maternal lineage from the Ogiso era.
This same Oba of Benin that said in that video that he is a descendants of of Oromiyan, also said in that same video that Oduduwa was a banished Prince from Benin.
