PoliticsRe: Ghana To Export Cars To Nigeria And The Rest Of Africa. by overhypedsteve(m):
I ve always waited for thread like this. This space will be judiciously used by me with the aid of visual authority and links (where the need arise) to prove to the world and Africa that Ghana seeks for attention that the world has so wickedly denied it. Please sit and relax. Don't leave the thread. Call Nitrogen, call azontofool, call all the hordes of ghanian minions that ve now infested our forum with news of ghanian failure. Tell them to have their sit. Cus i am coming. I ll be back. I overhypedsteve will be back.
move to the next page and see for yourself. This ghanian dudes wont come back to post nonsense in a hurry. imagine this fool trying to emphasize on manufactured in his post and not assembly to probably mock the influx of car assembly plants in Nigeria.he doesn't know that no big car manufacturer is always able to manufacture parts and assemble in the same plant. There is always a different plant for body part manufacture and then for assembly.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Airport Suicide Bomber In Picture by overhypedsteve(m):
Jakumo: He looks like he might be a car mechanic or auto-electrician, because those items in his hand look very much like car ignition coils.
very soon you go say grenade look like bread. So you think those men there don't know how a car ignition coil looks like? SMH if they had allowed him to carry the "car ignition" and bomb innocent pple and property i am sure you would be the first to start shouting Nigeria police is fake. But now they ve saved lives by apprehnding him and you say (by sitting at home and looking at it from an unclear picture) its car engine and they should allow him to go ahead and use it. Hmm see NL antibomb squad oh.
PoliticsRe: USA To Help Ghana Battle Ebola Disease by overhypedsteve(m): 10:26am On Aug 18, 2014
Vig86: Ghana to me is just a country too timid to face reality. Ghanians love it when other countries are facing hard time. They want to appear holy and flawless as a nation to please their masters. My state in Nigeria is more developed than Ghana.
fact.

yetunsbay: agreed...............but wait o what is Ghana?
some call it a country, some call it a state, but i prefer to call it a colony.

scarr: @bolded so just because someone doesn't like poetry dat makes him a bad person? let ur work speak for u and stop d attention seeking.......ill rather stay with 100 non poetry lovers dan with one suicide bomber......plus ur poem won't stop a soldier from harassing you because u kicked a lil sand on his boots accidentally...#misplacedpriorities
one that do not fully love poetry or appreciate it. Has now made himself a judge of the provisions of a poetic mind. Sir like i stated in my article which probably brought you here. There re several instruments available to a poet, in the prosecution of a poem. They call them figure of speech. We have: hyperbole: this figure of speech appreciates exaggeration to drive an idea home. E.g the wine drunk at the party is enough to float a ship.( Doesn't mean any sailor is about to attempt such novel navigational feat. By floating a cruiser on a sea of wine.)
antonomasia: derived from the Greek word "onoma", when something or someone's office, reputation or fame is transferred to another in literature e.g wole soyinka is the African Shakespeare.
Okay what if we liken those that do not really appreciate poetry to suicide bombers as they both bring to an end a thing of beauty. Does that make them suicide bombers?
Ok something common. What if i say " i drank a glass of water" does that mean i just injested a glass cup holding water?
The beauty of poetry is in you being able to decode its true meaning.
The comment you quoted permit me to say. Is a victim of poetic reverie.
AkunneObinna: HEis just being passionate about his work... which to an "extent" is understandeble.... now i understant your point of view......its all good.

PoliticsRe: Breaking News. Armed Men Attack Monrovia Ebola Clinic, 29 Patients Flee by overhypedsteve(m):
Hmmm, they shouldn't act on our intelligence and tell us the armed men came to rob. There is something happening in the world today, and the ISIS massacre in Iraq has something to do with it, the Ukrainian crisis has something to do with it, the Gaza row between hamas and Israel also has it place in this worldwide conspiracy.
are there no banks in monrovia that robbers will want to rob the isolation ward of patients of a contagious disease.
In all this crisis i have listed. one country seem to be implicated in the middle of it. And it is no news that this country seems to be the centre piece of all doomsday conspiracy theories. When we in Africa see conspiracy theories we don't research it, we just sit behind our phone and shout conspiracy theory.

when you see somebody shouting endtime tins don't just quote and insult the person. Look at the world around you and ask yourself if our little planet will survive this millennium.

this is definitely the real siriusblack. His comments on the gaming section reflect that. Note the use of the words , specialised, and gaming assets. Only someone used to military terms would talk like that in a games thread. Tanku

don't we all? Only that some are forced by duty to dance to the music of the kalashnikova.they do not deserve praises they deserve to find a place in our heart.

Henry120: It's a beautiful piece man.

I was just too emotionally touched to comment, and still am. Many fathers, brothers, friends, sons and uncles are dying needlessly in this senseless insurgency.

There is absolutely no question I would have wished our military was a "parade ground" or a "hollywood" military like the SANDF.

God be with our armed forces and God bless you for this beautiful piece.
thanks sir. I ve followed your comments on beegeagle and NL and this coming from you means a lot.

decoderdgenius: Despite the fact that we all need encouragement in our endeavours, I believe a man should not blow his trumpet, rather, let his work blow it for him. Yes, u wrote a piece about Nigerian heroes, thats nice but it doesn't warrant ur going to and fro on nairaland complaining that no one appreciates ur piece. Actually I read it and I think its okay but stop whining. If u're good its just a matter of time, the world will know. Adios.
my man don't you think it wont be fair if you attribute an ill intention to my honest actions.
The work was created for the enjoyment of the public,
how that is achieved now depends on me and all those who see a need for the broadcast of this material.

biafranqueen: My favorite writer is Chris Abani (Graceland, Becoming Abigail) I went to a reading in Malibu California and I was the only person of color talk less of Nigerian. The hall was packed with white people but sadly most Nigerians never heard of him. So please learn from him and others like
Papa Achebe,Chimamada Ngozi Adichie were popular in America way before Nigerians appreciated them.

Keep living your passion and remember people only give you as much credit as you give yourself.

I suggest you submit it to a paper or some of the online contest. You are very talented the poem was deep and really brings up raw emotions to the reader. Send it to Vanguard they may even publish it.
few people on the internet space can boast of having attained your level of reasoning. Your love for poetry and Art is reflected in your word command. Believe me my dear friend. Your name will find a place in my diary today.

Teflony: Steve my bro, don't be depressed. Nigerians don't seem to appreciate poetry. Its a nice piece you got here. Keep writing, not to impress but to express. And like you said "every hero has his day".
with this little words of encouragement you ve uplifted a broken man's spirit.
Those that would not appreciate the aesthetic beauty of indigenous poetry are far worst than those who blow up, ancient structures and monasteries in defence of religion. Your words, my man was well received.
