PoliticsRe: Obama Leaves Nigeria Out Of $110m Peacekeeping Fund by overhypedsteve(m): 12:12am On Aug 11, 2014
9jalyte: I want to thank people like Davitogreat, I was almost choking with the first brainless comments of some bubble heads roaming around niaraland, always looking for where to spill the excess bitterness in them. Very shameless fellows who are so proud to display their emptiness by insulting their own country thinking they are Gani Fawenmi. The world has engaged Nigeria on a psychological warfare, the aim is to destroy every sense of patriotism in the citizens, then they will implement the Egyptian and Libyan models of revolution - using the citizens to destroy the country. Every day, every where it is all about Nigeria - CNN, BBC, etc, just as if they were commissioned to burn Nigeria down. The most painful thing is that our young men, who I expected to smarter than the older generation are even showing indications of greater intellectual poverty. they can't see beyond the tips of their noses.

Have you asked your self, why did ECOMOG die. Who really destroyed ECOMOG, and why. Nigeria was the supper power that funded ECOMOG and tackled the west African crises without asking anybody for help. Nigeria was clearly seen as the God-father of west African, and a strong force in Africa. That obviously did not seem cool for some tyrannical countries that will never want any country to make them look irrelevant. Ofcource, for any super country to show her big brother gesture, it has to be in Africa, and all of a sudden, it was being clear that they may turn irrelevant and Nigeria becoming more relevant. Systematically, they used the UN peace keeping force to overshadow ECOMOG/Nigeria, and that was it. Now, they are cementing the long time plan of burying any possible African independent peace keeping force, and some are clapping. This dependence syndrome embedded in some of our people is becoming scary. Who cares if the fund Malawi, are we same?

It is painful that other countries respect Nigeria, I mean, if you have not gone out of Nigeria to see how the other African countries respect Nigeria, you will not understand. Nigeria is the last hope of the black nation, and it means alot to every black man. Any Nigerian that is playing into that strategic destruction plan of some vested interests should look himself in the mirror and call him self a FOOL. Yes, we are not perfect, but who is. do you think oyibos are as good as they project? What do you think you will gain by always messing your self up. We should all focus on rebuilding our intellectual infrastructure, that is the most decayed in Nigeria.

We do not need any support from any country, we can! in fact they should stop insulting us with those petty grants. Over the years they have been giving, what great change has taken place with those. Except we face our challenges, we can never be seen as a force to reckon with.
stop blabbing each time the cook one propaganda against Nigeria, cus if you do, you can as well consider your self as zombie, cus you have been manipulated to act the way some people want you to act and you acted exactly that same way. We will overcome this battle.
your words almost brought tears to my eyes. To hell with obama men . I love naija. Pls try to read diplomatic soldering by joseph garba. And nigerian ecomog war stories to see and understand the great nation that produced you. The americans made a movie about black hawk down. But they refuse to even show the fact that their hopeless rangers were saved by nigerian ecomog troops, black hawk down was a nigerian victory. Read this hisories and you will nearly tear down anybody that humiliate your flag

igbsam: Good thing Mr. Obama. Please do not send any money to Nigeria, it will end up in the pockets of these thieves we have as leaders. We have enough money to take care of our own needs and please, our president is planning on borrowing a $1billion loan, please ensure they don't approve it. All they need the money for is 2015 campaigns. Keep falling their hands as u've just done. Thank you!

Useless Nigerian Govt.

okparaugo: Small money ...
imagine, nigeria faced with a very expensive battle at home should carry her soldiers now experienced in CTCOIN and desert and urban welfare, professinal and combat ready men, to go and join ghana and uganda to share 110 mil dols. What will that improve. E nor even reach one politician thief self.

PoliticsRe: Obama Leaves Nigeria Out Of $110m Peacekeeping Fund by overhypedsteve(m):
davitogreat: Your just typing nonsense. My comment had nothing to do with feelings. Or licking ass.

It's all about facts. If the Americans see it fit to share defense funds with Uganda, ghana and Rwanda. ( countries with very questionable corrupt/shady governments and institutions)

Uganda- very corrupt. Government has history of abuse. Also history of using child soldiers.
Ghana- very corrupt and is a poster boy on how NOT to run your economy
Rwanda- though Rwanda has made great improvements economically Kagames government has also been very oppressive towards opposition and anyone who speaks ill of his government. Has played a role in assassinating journalists and opposition members in Rwanda and even outside the country.
Plus lets not forget rwanda and uganda have been caught assisting rebels who are destabilizing the congo.

So with all that What makes it right to skip Nigeria? Jonathan with all his faults is not as bad as the leaders of these countries.

nigeria is one of the worlds leading peace keeping nations and a country that does and has done a lot for Africa. So it's logical to work closely with such a country if one is looking to further peace in Africa.
why are you wasting your time trying to educate ignoramoses. Are you not happy that nigeria and its army is not placed under the control of a western sponsored peace keeping initiative. (how much is $110 mil) that we would want to subject our army to a western sponsored peace keeping initiative, remember say na person wey pay musician dey chose song. Our soldiers are not mercenaries and do not need any such money to remind them of their duty in protecting brother nations was nigerian peace keeping role facilitated by any US imperialistic financial project. Those americans who said that nigeria was excluded as a result of the human right abuses of it soldiers are hiding the truth. One can easily see that the US selected african states that can be compelled to pipe along with either sanctiion or foreign aid. Why is it that uganda just revoked its anti gay law and suddenly the US is all friendly with her. Or is it ghana with it band of corrupt dimwits posing as government officers stealing the country dry and still borrowing from IMF to steal more. Is it that country (name witheld) were child soldiers was institutionalised and a brutal civil war that threatened to tear the very fabrics of human right. If nigeria must be added in that group then why dont you ask yourself why isnt Algeria, south africa, egypt, angola, cameroun, kenya and other better placed countries included. Or re we going to go back down the ladder and allow our military men now veseted with the harsh experience of desert welfare, CTCOIN, urban welfare and to waste their time running peace keeping errands for america and its errand boys ( because of 110 million dollars) fact is that america may just be hiding its face, maybe the nigerian government have quietly rejeted the imperialistic offer. How can any country under ecowas with the provisions of ECOMOG , be a member to such a set up. It undermines the essence of ecomog and the african union standby force that is commanded by a nigerian, which may also be another reason why nigeria would not want to be a part and parcel of this colonial set up. As an african giant that ve intervened in so many regional conflict it would be painful and foolish if nigeria give up all that to sit and hide under an american set up. Mind you a nigerian commander have always being in charge of most of this african missions. So why should we eat crumbs.
PoliticsRe: GEJ, Swallow Your Pride And Allow UN/US Fighter Jets To Bombard Sambissa by overhypedsteve(m): 11:11am On Aug 09, 2014
Ibnsultan: .We have the Money and men to fight the insurgency. What we lack is the political commitment to end the war. The airforce needs about 200 mi 35 and we are going for 6 helos. We need attack jet with laser guide missiles. And our troops need basic gears like night vision googles, binoculars, ready to eat food,IFv transport helo for medical evacaution. Upgradin frm a 300m rifle Ak47 to more fire power lik m14,tavor,74s. @mogidi its ppl like u who are helping Gej make the wrong policies
believe me oga ibnsultan we don't need that much assets, if we have 10 SU25 frogfoot stationed at maiduguri airport. Running bombing runs 24. And a rapid mechanized respond unit, backed with two MI35's to terminate any terrorist convoy moving around this area. Troops should not be sent to face enemy convoy without air support. Our alfa jets are not suitable for the roles they are playing in this battle. We need COIN tested ground attack jets. And gunships. Whilst most of our transport jets should be upgraded to serve a dual role of surveillance and logistics. There have being many cases were countries faced with war have converted commercial aircraft to play combat roles. As per the basic military gears its a shame that our own DICON cannot increase production of this things to meet competing demands. We keep handing special gears to special force units when the infantry men in the frontline are suffering from the absence of this things. At least ready to eat meals, NVG, Ak74 with scope. Binoculars. What's happening our troops that went for the war in Mali were so well kitten by DICON made kits. Why re our boys lacking this things.
PoliticsRe: GEJ, Swallow Your Pride And Allow UN/US Fighter Jets To Bombard Sambissa by overhypedsteve(m):
Why would you just start talking about something you know nothing about. I do not think someone who is not intelligent on military matters enough to know that beechcraft is not the name of a only one single aircraft. But the name of an American aviation company that produces both military and civil fixed wing Air assets. Can you now consider yourself in a position to decide for the president of the federal republic on such a delicate issue. Knowing the consequence of such an intervention on the international reputation of any such country.( nor be only beechcraft them go use bomb tell US make them carry Boeing corporation come 9ja)
One do not just sit back and allow a foreign nation to enforce its laws for it.the enforcement of law and order being the most important feature of any modern state. Only a failed state would allow that, and as Jonathan remain the government of Nigeria and all other arms of government are still in place. Nigeria is not a failed state.
Entrenched in the westphalia treaty of 1648 is the provision for the sovereignty of states. And other states are to respect national boundaries. Instead please support the federal government in boosting the capability of the nigerian armed forces.
If we re too desperate to bomb sambisa then i think a simple upgrade of our Air assets would do the job. Heavy transport aircraft like the C130 and even the Russian Antonov have been used for bombing run. Our cessna citations could be armed up too to play combat roles. Cus i would rather use catapult to hurl grenade into sambisa than allow any foreign army to violate our hard earned integrity.

I know i wield some unconventional knowledge of the field of medicine. And i am therefore an eligible participant of this Nobel thread.
Those who know and have benefited from my knowledge and advice on contemporary medical issues have done so to their own disadvantage. But still yet there still remain a vast number of people who still consider my opinion on medical issues as authoritative and genuine.
As per the row about the use of common salt in the prevention of this deadly virus. I would advice us to for the mean time restrict the use of salts to the kitchen, as it has proven to be an invaluable ingredient in the preparation of food both cooked and roasted, this much i know about the benefit of salt, but as to its antiviral properties, i would leave that to those who have seen the depth and hollow crevices of the big and gigantic hardcovered textbooks and publications that are common to those of the medical profession.

lomaxx: That article was referring to Enteroviruses. Ebola virus is a Filovirus - one million miles away from the Genus of Enteroviruses. For starters, Enteroviruses are positive-sense single stranded RNA viruses, Ebola viruses are negative sense single stranded RNA viruses, not to talk about the many other morpho-genomic and microbial distinctive patterns - so what exactly are we talking about here?

Please learn to ask questions. If you're too big to do that, do some research.
so what happens when this two strands of virus mix together in a dangerous hot scientific concoction. What do we get? I see all your bogus scientific knowledge cannot help you to answer this scientifically sophisticated question put forward to you. By someone who have seen the depth of so many scientific text and publication. What you get when two bogusely named viral strains come together in a simmering scientific concoction is a VIRAL PEPPERSOUP yes. And i did all this research laying on my scientific bed lying on my scientific white lab bedsheet and typing on my scientific phone.

So what pH do you want us to operate?

The salt water approach to ebola prevention is actually an ongoing research by the whites on the effect of salt on several virus strain. The salt water prevention method may actually be true.

It is not a rumour. The poster on front page is a fraud. There are researches that prove the deactivating effect of common salt over a wide variety of virus strains.

Well let me explain. In principle, the Ghanaian economy is doing fine, growing nicely at nearly 7 percent. The only problem is that there is what economists call macroeconomic instability as a result of overspending by the Mahama govt.

hahahaha the Ghanaian economy had gone through worse situations in the past and survived. As a Ghanaian, I am very excited about the economic future of this country. Shine your eyes and you will see that beyond the short-term challenges the opportunities ahead are endless. why do you think we continue to see huge foreign capital inflows despite the current challenges.
