Jobs/VacanciesRe: Monday January 8 Is Public Holiday by Owenani(op): 3:49pm On Jan 06, 2024
Sorry for the error the holiday is not for Nigeria but for Ghana.

Error sincerely regretted.

Please it should be removed.
Jobs/VacanciesMonday January 8 Is Public Holiday by Owenani(op): 3:45pm On Jan 06, 2024
The government has officially declared Monday, January 8, 2024, as a public holiday in celebration of Constitution Day.

Minister for Interior Ambrose Dery made the declaration through a statement, emphasising the significance of the day.

Dery highlighted that Sunday, January 7, 2024, is Constitution Day, recognised as a Statutory Public Holiday.

However, considering that the date falls on a Sunday, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency, has utilised Executive Instrument (E.I.) powers, as outlined in Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601).

Consequently, Monday, January 8, 2024, has been officially declared an additional public holiday.
Jobs/VacanciesNew Year Resolutions by Owenani(op): 7:15am On Jan 06, 2024
At the time of the year between Christmas and New year a lot of people think seriously about their lives and take a decision to stop certain habits, attitudes, or activities in their lives.

The decisions are resolutions which a person resolves either to do something good or to stop doing something bad or wrong.

They are mainly called new year resolutions because they are made towards the end of the year and resolutely lived in the new year as a new beginning for the person who makes the resolution.

They are made to make the person to be a better human being and not a bad or worse person. And they inturn make the world better.

Some new year resolutions include:
- resolve to stop the intake of alcohol or drugs.
- resolve to stop the smoking of cigarettes.
- resolve to start worshipping in a church or congregation.
- resolve to win a soul for Christ in the new year.
- resolve to never tell a lie.
- resolve to submit to your husband.
- resolve to love your wife.
- resolve to pray everyday.
- resolve to stop stealing.
- resolve to stop fornicating.
- resolve to stop using abusive, lewd, and unwholesome language.
- resolve to stop examination malpractices.
- resolve to help the needy.
- resolve to respect your parents and those older than you.
- resolve to obey the laws of the land.
- resolve to study the Holy Bible daily and completely abide by it.
- resolve to reflect and dwell on the higher or Noble things.

Many stick to their resolutions because they painfully and sorrowfully took them.

Others are not committed to their resolutions because
*they think or say they are still young.
*they are delinquent.
*they have a twisted or debased mind.
*there is still time.
*of peer pressure
*they are done by other people around them.
*they have a low moral reasoning.
*they are irresponsible people.

This is very wrong and should be avoided because it makes such people who fail to keep their resolutions to fall prey to circumstances and condemnation.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: CBN LIFTS BAN ONCRYPTOCURRENCY TRANSACTION by Owenani(op): 8:52am On Dec 23, 2023
Continuation,

Following this development, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in 2018 also updated its Recommendation 15 to require VASPS to be regulated to prevent misuse of virtual assets for ML/TF/PF.
“Furthermore, Section 30 of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022 recognises VASPs as part of the definition of a financial institution.
In addition, the Securities and Exchange Commission in May 2022 issued Rules on Issuance, Offering and Custody of Digital Assets and VASPs to provide a regulatory framework for their operations in Nigeria.
“In view of the foregoing, the CBN hereby issues this guideline to provide guidance to financial institutions under its regulatory purview in respect of their banking relationship with VASPs in Nigeria. “
The apex bank noted that this new guideline supersedes its old ones referenced FPR/DIR/GEN/CIR/06/010 of January 12, 2017, and BSD/DIR/PUB/LAB/014/001 of February 5, 2021 on the subject.
It also affirmed that banks and other financial institutions are still prohibited from holding, trading and/or transacting in virtual currencies on their own account.
It added all banks and other financial institutions are required to immediately comply with its new guideline.
In its circular with reference number BSD/DIR/PUB/LAB/014/001, dated February 5, 2021, the apex bank reminded banks that dealing in crypto currencies or facilitating payments for cryptocurrency exchanges was prohibited.
At the time, it asked banks to identify persons or entities transacting in or operating crypto currency exchanges within their systems and ensure that their accounts were closed.
Jobs/VacanciesCBN LIFTS BAN ONCRYPTOCURRENCY TRANSACTION by Owenani(op):
CBN lifts ban on cryptocurrency transactions

22nd December 2023

This story is reported in the punch newspaper by Abiodun Sanusi and Temitayo Jaiyeola

Kindly share this story:

The Central Bank of Nigeria has changed its stance on crypto assets in the country and asked banks to disregard its earlier ban on crypto transactions.

This is according to a circular dated December 22, 2023, with reference number FPR/DIR/PUB/CIR/002/003, and signed by the apex bank’s Director, Financial Policy and Regulation Department, Haruna Mustafa.

The circular is titled ‘Circular to all Banks and other Financial Institutions Guidelines on Operations of Bank Accounts for Virtual Assets Service Providers (VASPS).’

The apex bank stated that current trends globally have shown the need for crypto regulation.

It said, “The CBN, in February 2021  issued a circular restricting banks and other financial institutions from operating accounts for cryptocurrency service providers in view of the money laundering and terrorism financing (ML/TF) risks and vulnerabilities inherent in their operations as well as the absence of regulations and consumer protection measures.

“However, current trends globally have shown that there is a need to regulate the activities of virtual assets service providers (VASPs) which include cryptocurrencies and crypto assets.

N-POWER resumes payment of arrears of beneficiaries.
This story is found in the punch newspaper
By
Damilola Olufemi
Kindly share this story:

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, has said that the Federal Government has resumed the payment of arrears to beneficiaries of the N-Power programme.

N-Power is a scheme set up in 2016 by the former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, to address the issues of youth unemployment and help increase social development.

The beneficiaries were being owed some months’ salaries by the former President Muhammadu Buhari administration but paused by President Bola Tinubu on assumption of office.

However, the minister clarified that the Federal Government wants to resolve the lapses in the scheme before resuming it.

Edu, who noted that the payment of arrears to beneficiaries of the programme began yesterday, disclosed this on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday.

Edu said, “Presently, a payment for N-Power is ongoing; we were in the office yesterday up until the early hours of this morning, just to ensure that young people get monies that they have been owed from the last government.

FamilyRe: Something You Believe In That Most People Don’t by Owenani: 5:58pm On Oct 02, 2023
The man who said God is dead is quoting Frederick Nietze who was a great German philosopher on who the Nazi party base their ideology wrongly.

But you the author of that message don't understand why Nietze made that statement. He made it after looking at German people and maybe the world because according to him they have killed the Son of God in their hearts and do not believe in God his father.

Nietze was condemning the people of the world during his time which was far before Hitler was born and not bringing up a negative concept.

If you make this statement because of the moral life of people of the world now, that is not correct because when people donot recognise God as a result of their debased life they are to be blame and not Good.

The ideal thing to be done by you is to canvass for the good people to rise against this evil. And that takes courage. Or you have heard world wars and annihilation this is the inevitable result of such careless statement.

So don't take the part of destruction. Hitler following wrongly Nietze knew or did not know he was following what Nietze never ever meant. He and Germany paid dearly for it.

To inform you this is the mindset of the Antichrist stay off such notion and repent totally from it.

God exists and His Son and His Spirit exist too. And salvation is true and personal.

There is retribution in hell fire for evil people and blasphemer.

NASIMS have said they would pay and that's a positive statement from them. They said the process started on Tuesday. So be patient and am sure this week they would commence the payments.

This is not the first time there was batch A and B. And the government meant with its obligations then. So they will do it now.

And that's not my blog I just wanted to put a smile on beneficiaries who complained a lot. NASIMS will pay.

I was paid oct, nov and dec.

On the old website i was a Beneficiary, but on the new site changed to applicant.

Last two weeks my portal was showing the three paid months.

But now no payment history on my portal.
I will suggest firstly that you be patient and secondly log out and log in and see if it enters your dashboard. But you don't need to be worried about that and if it's not been put by Tuesday contact their help desk for resolution of your issue.

NASIMS Commence Massive Payment of Batch C2 Outstanding Stipends
NASIMS, the entity within the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development responsible for overseeing the Federal Government Npower Programme, has taken significant steps in disbursing long-awaited Stipends to Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries.

The process of Stipends Payment began on Tuesday, marking the first occurrence after NASIMS transitioned to its new Self-Service Portal (SSP) ssp.nasims.gov.ng.

The rationale behind introducing the new SSP Portal was to enhance the management of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) by providing beneficiaries with access to streamlined services, including seamless Stipend payments, thanks to its advanced features.

By utilizing the SSP Portal, Npower beneficiaries can now receive their Stipends simultaneously, while also having real-time access to their payment records and statuses, such as “processing,” “completed,” or “failed payments,” all within their NASIMS SSP Profile.

Furthermore, NASIMS is actively addressing the backlog of Outstanding Stipends Payment for the months of October, November, and December 2022. This payment also extends to the recently shortlisted Batch C Stream 2 Npower beneficiaries, particularly those who successfully completed the validation process in June and early July 2023.

While beneficiaries can expect the payment to be credited to their respective bank accounts, it is essential to note that the timing may vary, considering the use of different bank accounts by individual beneficiaries. Although the payment initiation occurs simultaneously, the duration may differ from one bank to another, with an estimated processing time not exceeding 48 hours.

In light of this, patience is highly encouraged among beneficiaries to avoid undue stress during the disbursement process.

To stay informed about the status of their Stipend Payment, beneficiaries are advised to monitor the new Self Service Portal closely. This will enable them to determine which months have been completely paid, are in the processing stage, or encountered payment issues, thereby reducing anxiety and facilitating appropriate complaints, which can be lodged through the NASIMS SSP Portal or verified Npower Social Media Handles.
