UyaiIncomparabl:
In my few years of being in the dating pool, I have realised that SIMPS are the best species of men to date and as well, get married to.

The problem with your proposition is that most women are manipulative in nature. So if a man doesn't draw a firm guideline on what is permissible or not permissible in the relationship, the lady will abuse the previlege and begin to use the guy's "softness" to manipulate & downgrade him.

Eventually, she will start dreaming of being under a "Nebuchadnezzar" kind of man.

So your point is true and right, but in most cases not practical because women will not appreciate it in the long run. They will see the guy's sacrifices as "ordinary nothing"

Who are the government are they not the people... President is only one person, and all other politicians are only one person but the civil servant who are the citizen makes up the government... One thing I learnt is people are angry about corruption because they are not the one doing it directly... Even this fuel issue... Pump attentant are corrupt let alone a civil servant, even market woman and men inflating for no reason and so on... Seep down you know what I said is true

Who will give the Civil servants orders or formulate the government policy? Is it not that "one person" or "other politicians"?

If the president or his appointees are inefficient, there is little the people can do. Abi we should start civil disobedience?

If you put tribe into it, the tribe of the politician on seat will start taunting and accusing the other tribes of sabotaging them.

So Nigeria is just messed up

@com1234

Please boss. I have that problem too. After my intake and exhaust camgear changed due because of rattling sound on cold start. Since then have been experienced p0014.. pls share me your number sir.

What should I do?
Which mechanic you used sir.
Goldencrownmotors@gmail.com

GAZZUZZ:
you startup a modern day vehicle from cold start, it rattles for a few secs (kakakakakakakakakakaa) then noise goes away like nothing happened. No performance issues, no noise. But when ever vehicle stands still inactive for about 5-6hrs and you startup again, you have the startup rattle.

If you have this problem, it is almost certain you have a defective VTC actuator.

VTC stands for Variable Timing control, As engine rpm builds, the VTC actuator - controlled by the engine computer that monitors cam position, ignition timing, exhaust emission and throttle position - advances or retards the intake cam throughout a range , optimizing engine output and reducing emissions.

So in summary, the intake camshaft is not static, but variable.

When defective it rattles for a few secs until a buildup of oil pressure keeps it stable, so basically it's inability to hold oil makes it rattle for a few seconds.

Causes of this defect could arise from the use of wrong oil grades (20w50 people unna weldone) and Defect in production.

Now here's the interesting part of this topic.

Once in a while I used to receive vehicles with very quite engines but re.tarded or advanced timing error codes on the engine computer, after advanced diagnosis we would notice that the intake VTC cam was welded firmly in place angry it was very common in the corrolas with the 2zr engines, and the honda with the K24Z engines, the symptoms exhibited were a terrible loss of power and correlation codes on timing.

So now that you know, before you buy that Nigerian used car, if you notice any funny timing codes and a previously breached timing cover just know that VTC might be welded in 1 position.

you are also right but no trouble like a car shutting down on you at a godforsaken place at an ungodly hour. Whats more buying a car with all your savings and end up parking it without receiving intended usage. Car parts are very expensive now when i say very expensive i mean parts you buy at one naira b4 are now x3. if bikes are allowed in the ops region he can get a brandnew one and use it to convey his family from time to time, they just have to make extra provision during raining seasons. Atleast
Brandnew daylong and Lifan with hand kick is around 400k, Bajaj hand kick 520k while no kick starter is 480k, TVS is around 450k, Haojue which is the most solid of all is 700k for brandnew and they can last 3years without any major issues popping up

I go buy Golf 3 manual with the budget. Just ensure it is buy and drive.

First have in mind that to buy a car is easy, to maintain same is the hardest part.

Your initial budget is very small to buy a car that will give minimal issues in Nigeria currently you need around 1m, the lower the buying price of a car the higher the maintenance cost you would incur 90% fact their are some lucky instances cheap good car.

55k monthly salary for a single man can maintain a car but for a family man, too thin financially.

Let's say you got a kia Picanto or Nissan micra those 1.1L fuel efficient engines grin

4L of oil is around 8k, filter is 2k workmanship 2k that's 12k fueling let's say 40L per month @ 200/L that's 8k total 20k

Can you afford to cough out 20k from ur salary in a month without affecting other basic family needs?

If you are not in lagos you can try a bike, nah wetin I dey push up and down and I get 75km on a liter, I use 10L in 2.5 weeks

How much does he spend on public transport and their inconveniences too?

Abi public transport is free? Okada drop here now is N300... That's 600 mon-fri average that should be 3,000-4,000 weekly on fuel. (If it's strictly point A-B thing) .. not bad for family man smiley

The discomfort that comes with public transport is not worth any money you want to save , especially as rains is starting soon.

I wish I can ride motorcycle grin

This 2008 Nissan Pathfinder has been a pain in the ass.

Have you scanned it? If yes, post fault codes for the house to assess.

But if you have not scanned it, don't let any mechanic touch the car again until you have done so.
