I was in Omi-adio in Oyo last month, I could hardly find 2 people who could converse in pidgin, talk less of English. It was shocking.

Questions have arisen regarding the qualifications of Ola Olukoyede to hold the position of Chairman at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to the stipulated requirements in the establishment of the EFCC, the Chairman must be a serving or retired member of any government security or law enforcement agency not below the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police or equivalent, and possess not less than 15 years cognate experience.
Investigations have revealed that Olukoyede, born on October 14, 1969, did not meet these prerequisites before his appointment. Despite this, he assumed the role of Executive Chairman of the EFCC, appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on October 12, 2023.

Before his tenure as EFCC Chairman, Olukoyede worked as a lawyer at a firm owned by former Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo. He also served as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman (2016–2018) and Secretary to the Commission (2018–2023). His nomination as Secretary to the EFCC in 2018 was made by the then-President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.

During the announcement of Olukoyede's appointment, it was stated that he possessed 22 years of regulatory compliance consulting, fraud management, and business intelligence experience. However, questions persist regarding whether this experience aligns with the specific requirements outlined for the EFCC Chairman.

The requirements as contained in part 1 section 2 of the establishment reads, ""The Commission shall consist of the following members

(a) a chairman, who shall -
(i) be the Chief Executive and Accounting Officer of the Commission.
(ii) be a serving or retired member of any government security or law enforcement agency not below the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police or equivalent; and
(iii) Possess not less than 15 years cognate experience."

Given these revelations, concerns have been raised about Olukoyede's suitability for the role, with some arguing that he lacks the necessary experience and competency required for such a critical position in combating economic and financial crimes.

We don't like the way the price of usd have reached 1433naira yet many of us are selling at the price including me..we only complain only when we are about to buy at such price..but we go ahead to sell at that price yet we all claim we are not happy with the way the price is at that price..if everyone decides to sell at a lower price ,won't the price go down ?? As long as we keep selling at such high price or keep buying at such high price. Things will remain the same way. In other words...As long as you sold at the same high price , then we are all guilty including me...if you truly care about the high price it is at ..why can't you sell at a lower price and show that you are a good Nigerian that wants a strong naira even on the p2p market ??

For example someone here said he is happy he made profits from the usd/naira rate but he is not happy with the weakness of naira...but you made profits from that same weakness of naira. So what makes you different from the same person who said he was praying for the dollars to keep rising..

Your case is like an armed robber that said he is not happy that he shot someone but he is happy with the money he made from the robbery.....even if you are sad that you shot someone , you still remain an armed robber...lol

Tomorrow marks it 3 weeks my baby is here with the mother(39 weeks 5 days). She did 4 scans all tru her pregnancy. The latest one was my concern when we notice discomfort amd the report didn't seems well. Remember induction is a forceful way to extract a baby and very painful and most tyms as I was told the baby might be too weak to accept such procedure. You don't want to have to struggle your baby out.
CS was our option, I signed the consent form and my spouse didn't have to eat anything. In the morning around 8am she was already in the ward. After anatesia, the doctor performed the cut under her belle line to expose her gauging uterus. The rest was pulling the baby out and the head was the last to follow.
I watched it like a movie scene with courage and praying.
At the end I smiled and the mother is OK and fully recovered. I don knack her one, but na slow slow 5 days ago self..
