This part is interesting. So if you did not take this action what may have happened? Hmmm Exactly what we are saying. WHAT IF? What is he did not freeze my account? Will he get his money back? WHAT IF I did not contact PayPal? Will he pay me after shipping and he receive his item? It’s all about motive. Secondly, he gor his money back not because my account was frozen? He got his money because I wrote the bank to return his funds. I offered to send his bitcoin then but I was advised against that since bitcoin cannot be traced but refund can. I have people on here that witnessed the situation to make sure everything was settled. If you are a renowned trader, transacting everyday, there will be issues and challenges and that does not make him a scammer but it just have to be addressed. Tell me anyone here who never had issues with client one time before. Even you? |

HazzanTazzan: Oxsam88 pls do this and give a concrete explanation of what happened that led to the post where ur acct number was listed as scam The poster came here to report because my phone broke and I was unreachable. He didn’t bother to delete the post after it was settled. That’s why you won’t see another post from him about the situation or else nairaland won’t sleep. Kabonicinc was aware of this situation. I’m not a mod or have a mod friend or else I would have deleted that. I will make an official complaint though. |

HazzanTazzan: You're prolonging this issue unnecessarily ...
Simply search ur acct number on nairaland search bar and explain why some people listed your acct number as scam recently... I based my response and advise to him due to that search... You've been listed as a scammer by some members and it's normal for any sane person to withhold your payment pending clarity of that accusation...
That's what chu is doing...
Clarify what you need to clarify and stop prolonging this matter abeg Listed a scammer by who? Please give names. If you based your member on sleekslender who refused to clear my name after coming here to make allegations, you are wrong. Plus you are missing it. If he’s conviced I’m a scam He didn’t withhold my payment, he blocked me after I made the payment. That’s not withholding. He didn’t give me the option of “I won’t pay until this ships” If you didn’t see that, then you are biased and it’s hypocritical. |

Ifechukwudesim: Oga no dey call me scammer and I won’t call you an alleged scammer as I have explained and also posted proof of why I did what I did. My actions na actions of any reasonable person way don do business on Nairaland. I searched your account number and it came up within issues, it’s as simple as that. Even you or any sane person would react to this. Soo no blame me. Na you call me out for Nairaland, I would have just let the issue die as your account has been reported already. My statement “them no dey scam scammer” is a saying pple use like “them no dey guy, guyman” . Isn’t it ironic that I would call myself scammer and still be here saying this to you? If you still wan continue this drama, na you know. I have given you reasons for my actions which any reasonable person here will do and even more. Your reason for calling me out was to point that am a scammer, I have pointed to you the reasons I took the actions I took. If you wan continue the drama na you know. Na you call me out not the other way round. I will respond to you this one time only. My post initially were meant for others except you. This is a forum. Especially for people that asked for more explanation to my statement. Now you are claiming you based your decision on your adviser. Imagine. He told you plainly not to pay before your items ships according to your screenshots. Did you give me that option? You wanted a “scam funds” and quickly blocked me. It’s all about motives. HazzanTazzan only advised you but you didn’t take it. You are now putting it on him. Would you have told him you scammed the “scammer” if I was unable to retrieve my funds and your orders were shipped? You quickly created another eBay account and added items to your cart to take advantage of “scam funds”. You even wanted me to go ahead and pay for others that your internet banking was acting up because I sent you wrong account information. Did HazzanTazzan advised that as well? #motives That’s why it’s even hard to advise someone. They will hold you responsible if it fails. #motives#morals Tabazz Kabonicinc Mynd44 Egonne1 |

oxsam88: For those that needed to know a little bit more, I will make it as brief as I can. It's 3 am here but my phone kept buzzing.
I never knew making a typographic error while typing your account number is a scam. So if I mix up my account number (probably because I was multi tasking or text driving), that should be make me a scam suspect. Our first contact went as far back as Feb 24 2018 even though we didn't trade. I replied Ifechukwudesim post for eBay checkout and he insisted on escrow but I told him no need since I'm the one making the payment. Maybe I'm being too confident but I believe eBay checkout scam is highly unlikely. If I make payment with my card or PayPal account and you refuse to pay, it's just a phone call away and I will get my money back. No story. I live in a western world. I've done eBay checkout for Marieso without issue and no escrow. Sometimes, I would have done it before letting him know because sometimes, PayPal security won't allow immediately, you have to give it time and try again in few hours. Why hold an innocent escrow in that situation. Guess I'm wrong.
He came back the next day with another number that "you said 340 right?" It's made sense later after the whole situation. He had a motive by contacting me with another number. He sent his ebay login and I tried paying but PayPal rejected the attempts, I told him I will have to try again later with a friend's PC (Different device and IP) but yet it dind't go through. Luckily I tried on phone and it went through (I only paid for one of the orders thinking maybe the amount was too high). I contacted him to send money for that first before I continue with others and sent him my account details while driving. I made a mistake in the digits, that shouldn't be a big deal (if the account number is wrong, the account name won't pop up). I guess he tried and the name didn't pop up then I realised I typed 3 instead of 2 in the numbers (HOW ON EARTH IS THAT SUSPPOSED TO BE A REASON TO SUSPECT FOUL PLAY BY MAKING A COMMON MISTAKE).
I sent him a PayPal receipt and my account activity screenshot with both name matches the account details and bank details (yet he think it's a scam). I did not even bother trading words and he later blocked me. Even though I had to be on the phone for two hours talking to PayPal, I think it's worth my money and should have accepted escrow as offered in the first place. A case is pending already and will get my money back in few days. I bought my PayPal funds from lots of freelancers here.

He even boasted he scammed me and telling me I'm lucky it's not more than that. If you think someone is a scammer and the best thing is to scam the scammer, then both are the same. It's a simple logic.
From this whole situation, escrow would have prevented this little drama or headache even though I'm confident my funds will be refunded and at the same time, I was able to know his intention. If I think you are a scammer, I will rather not trade with you. Claiming someone is a thief and also aiding same person by patronizing him, what are you?

HazzanTazzan: Concerning the issue btw oxasm and chu, I don't know whose moniker it was but the acct number provided actually pointed at scam cos that acct number has been accused of scamming traders here on the past...
I was the one who suggested that chu shldnt pay pending the time item is shipped and more revelation ...
However, now that oxasm is bold enuf to come here to claim he was scammed, he shld kindly explain his connection to the acct number he provided which was obviously used to scam some traders recently Can you please tell me who was scammed recently with the account number? And let him come and say it out here. If you advise someone not to pay unless it ships, that’s reasonable but shouldn’t the party paying know and agree to that term? |
