John Dumelo took to his Instagram page on Saturday to recount a robbery encounter in Nigeria on his way back to a hotel. According to the actor who is currently shooting a movie somewhere in the country, the armed robbers blocked his car, but they managed to escape by speeding off. He shared a stock photo of a man with his hands raised in praise and wrote:

"Yesterday we were attacked by armed robbers on our way back to the hotel from filming in Nigeria. The robbers wearing black, blocked the car we were in, got down with their guns and walked towards our car.
It was God who took over the wheel. Our driver swerved and sped off. They just stood there watching. As if to say "these are not the people we have to rob". Anything could have happened to us. My brothers and sisters, there is God! Believe in Him and He shall protect you. I thank God for my life and the lives of my fellow actresses in the car. #Jesustookthewheel #praiseGod

Hello everyone. Please i am 19 years old and i am a student at university of Ghana. I have just 2 years to graduate but my fees are almost 5 million per year since i am a nigerian student. My parents are saying i should come back to nigeria and start all over at university of Ibadan since it is cheaper. But i dont want to start over thats a waste of 3 years of my life and i dont want to graduate at 28 when all my mates have graduated at 21. They are even making silly comments about ibadan being better than university of Ghana. They are telling me i wont get a good job if i finish from Ghana. I am very frustrated. Please advise me. Dude , u are a small boy. You need to read more for you to understand and think analytically. The fact that 1GHS(ghana cedi)=51.6 NGN does not mean cedi is stronger..it is all thanks to re-denomination that makes it so.. But you need to understand that 51.6 ngn have a stronger value in terms of buying an item compared to 1GHS. By exchange rate, the GHS is higher than the cfa, but the cfa is stronger than the cedi..

Have you ever gone to change money in Nigeria and you try changing the "ghs" to Ngn? Those dealers would tell you that the ghs is bad. Unlike when you change CFA.

The Ghana Cedi is one of the worst currency in Africa.

Food for thought: As bad or as worse as the Nigerian economy is today, it is still better than Ghana's economy.

After reading some deriding comments about Ghana, even some people saying Nigeria is Ghana's elder brother, I decided to google Ghana.
Here are 5 facts:

1. Ghana is older than Nigeria. Ghana gained independence 1957, while Nigeria gained independence 1960. That I am as tall as Goliath, but 3 years younger than you does not make me your elder brother.

2. Ghana cedi is much stronger than Naira. That's to portray Ghana's economic maturity.

3. Ghana has an enviably stable electricity supply.

4. Ghana has lower crime rate compared to Nigeria.

5. Ghana has a very good international image. So many sites that ban Nigerian residents accept Ghana residents.

CONCLUSION:
Ghana is Nigeria's elder brother and much developed and better than Nigeria.

From SEGUN OLATUNJI, Abeokuta Four members of an international robbery gang suspected to be from Ghana were yesterday shot dead by police in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital. The State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) men who carried out the operation also arrested two other members of the gang who were seriously injured during a botched attempt on a bureau de change office in Itoku, Abeokuta. The gang which fell into the trap set by the police was said to have attempted to rob the forex operators before they met their waterloo. Parading two of the suspects, Adamu Bamako and Ibrahim Tanko, who were injured during the shoot-out, the state police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, described the suspects as cross-border bandits based in Ghana. Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, described the gang as notorious included nationalities of West African countries who invade Nigeria to commit crimes. He confirmed that the men of the SARS foiled the planned attack. He said the SARS operatives had been working on intelligence on the activities of the notorious cross-border ‎gang who had constituted nuisance to the state, noting that during the exchange of fire, a senior member of SARS was injured and has been treated. He commended the people of the state for sharing information with the command. The command lauded SARS men for their efforts at keeping criminals at bay and appealed to them to sustain their efforts.
