As Vice President between 1999 and 2007, Atiku played a crucial role in upturning the damages of the military regimes on the country, accomplishing a lot, some of which include overseeing the process that paved the way for the liberalization of the telecommunication sector. During that time, Atiku gained wide experience– many of which would come in handy in the job of fixing Nigeria.

Atiku’s vision for building an economy that is strong and not reliant on oil derivation makes so much sense. His policy document in circulation showed he listens to the issues facing every average Nigerian and is ready to do something about them.

Atiku has promised a real effort to unite the country– the kind that will ensure “all Nigerians are equal and should be seen and treated equally.” This is reflected in his campaign theme of “ONE COUNTRY”, a clear commitment to bringing everyone together as ‘ONE PEOPLE’, making it impossible for the proponent of division to make any headway.

This is not just some campaign rhetoric– this is who Atiku is. This is more reason why Atiku is seen as a unifier. He has done it right in his home and can do it for Nigeria. The incentive for a united Nigeria is peace and stability, which are the core ingredients for the development and growth of any nation. The APC has mismanaged our diversity and Atiku is capable of keeping the country as one.

More is the promise of drafting as many as 40 percent of young people into his cabinet, providing them the needed exposure and experience in governance to take over from him. This will be a major shift in the country’s governance template, and one in the right direction, because for the very first time, we will have a president who truly understands the value of young people and does not only believe they are leaders of today but prepared to make it so.

With Atiku in the Aso Rock, we won’t have to wake up every morning worrying about policy inconsistencies and the attendant impact on our lives, nor will we have the fear that he will make decisions based on sentiments. Having Atiku as president will be having a man that knows the problem and has the right plans to address it. Nigeria will be a better place with Atiku as president.

are you saying that all the people who bought BS worthless land, knew they were buying good for nothing lands?!

as i always say: before you buy any land then
1st ask yourself if this is what "you" want to do?
2nd, do you have money to therefore build a house on that said land (or at least a wall/fence around the said land)...
3rd are you ready for the headache (omonile/landgrabbers etc)
and finally, is that the priority in your life/future right now?!

1. Gov. Godwin Obaseki has no congent reason for not tolerating and managing a man who risked loss of reputation, goodwill and relationships to make him governor because he believed he was a technocrat that Edo State needed. But Obaseki has rebellious personality, which is likely to make him disloyal. It is the same spirit that made him to refuse to appeal his disqualification, which is a direct disrespect to APC hierarchy and dishonour to his sympathizers in APC NWC and NEC.

2. As far as Oshiomole is concerned, this fight is about his political life and that of his followers. The death of CoS Abba Kyari who loathed him and supported Obaseki was an 'answered prayer". The truth is that a 2nd term for Obaseki means that Oshiomole would be as good as dead politically because Edo State would be hellish for him and his supporters and there will no space for them any longer in Edo APC.

3. As far as politics is concerned, nobody can at this stage predict for sure that APC will lose governorship election. In Nigeria politics, the victory of any candidate at election is sum total of effort and influence of supportive party members at ward and constituency levels. So, intensive and extensive campaign will be key. Unfortunately, Obaseki refused to swear in some State Assembly members. These members and many other heavyweights in Oshiomole's camp have their supporters and constituencies. Moreover, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is not a newcomer to Edo State politics if he wins the primaries.

4. It is natural that some people are disappointed with how the bubble burst for Obaseki. Interestingly, the feeling of tension and sense of disappointment that followed the imposition of Obaseki 4 years a go was a lot more intense than what it is today. The truth is that being outmanoeuvred in political game is part of politics.
All these people don't have the interest of the masses at heart, all they want is power by all means. May God help us in this country.
