Morning my people, I have come again with questions please. We recently got a care sponsorship and on the response from home office, it was stated that the applicant could work 20 hours on jobs on the shortage occupation list or the same sharecode. Does that mean that the person could maybe work as an IT or any job for 20 hours if it is on the shortage occupation?

If a decision is yet to be made, yes.

If a decision has been made, no

Thank you so much. I haven't heard from them yet, I don't know if a decision has not been made.

Good evening elders, please if someone has already applied for PSW but a decision hasn't been made and they get a COS for healthcare, can they cancel the PSW visa and apply for the healthcare? Will the person be refunded please? Thank you.

Good afternoon my elders. Thank you so much for your inputs. I have another issue now. The hiring manager for the NHS called me to ask about the code for the job role and I told her to ask the hr since I wasn't sure. It is a new role within the Ambulance service in charge of clinical practice for Paramedics. I told her it could come under the educational or health code.

The HR has replied her to say the post cannot be sponsored because it is not on the shortage occupation list. Please is there anyway I can find out from the home office if the position can be sponsored please?

Is there anyone that has had a similar issue and how best do I go about this as I am not happy at all. This is a great opportunity for me. Thank you ever so much for all your advice. There are all appreciated.

quote author=Oyi12 post=127218529]Hello elders, please I need your opinion on this. I got 2 offers with sponsorship. The first is with council in a day centre while the second is a Band 5 with the NHS but in Bristol. Considering how expensive Bristol is will it be wise for me to move there with the band 5 salary with my family? There is prospect for me to secure a higher grade in the NHS in future but I am just scared of because of how expensive Bristol is.

House rent is about £1,500 average while i stay in a town where i pay less than £1,000 for rent. We are a family of 4 and my spouse hasn't gotten a job yet.

Goodenoch has told you how it works. But this should have been discussed during the interview, send a mail to your hiring manager to confirm. Whatever you do, do not resign from tour current job until you have settled this issue. I can assure you some trust do not offer sponsorship for any role except Nurses and Doctors hired from overseas.

Hello guys, please I urgently need your advice on this:

I am a cybersecurity specialist, currently working in a cybersecurity company here in the uk for about 8 months now. I just landed an offer with an NHS trust for a cybersecurity role band 7. I was surprised not to see anything regarding sponsorship on my offer letter. I tried reaching out to the HR guy in charge of my recruitment to seek confirmation regarding the sponsorship but he won’t respond to my emails. However, I sought a few guys’ opinions and I was told NHS always gives sponsorship for tech roles and that it’s almost cast in stone.

My current employer is actually willing to sponsor me towards my visa expiry which is in 6 months, but it’s just that I prefer the NHS role as it’s more senior and strategic.

I need to tender my resignation in 24 hrs to fulfill my 1 month notice period. I don’t know if I should maintain the assumption that the NHS trust will sponsor me or I should just stay put where I am sure of CoS.

Would advise you not to show those pics or videos to anyone since it's against the company's policy. Heard of a similar situation here previously, and both the staff member who was sleeping and the one who took the pictures (because it was not allowed) were both dismissed.

During the Meeting
1. Before presenting your side, understand what specific allegations have been made against you.
2. Stay calm and professional, regardless of how emotional or personal the matter is, remember to maintain your composure.
3. Stick to the facts, discuss the situation without resorting to personal attacks on other staff members.
4. Address the issue of you handling night checks for others, make it clear that you've been proactive in your duties, even covering for others.
5. Ensure to discuss your limitations regarding day shifts due to childcare. Perhaps you can also provide proof or reasoning that necessitates you working night shifts.
6. Before your meeting, consider seeking legal advice or speaking to a union representative if you have one. They may be able to offer more specific guidance tailored to your situation and local employment laws.

Lastly, consider if this workplace environment is healthy for you in the long run. A hostile work environment can be detrimental to both your professional growth and personal well-being.

You could recommend (
1. If the company utilizes PCs or tablets to log night checks, then the timestamps can be referenced to determine who was actively recording care at specific times.
2. Additionally, to demonstrate my commitment to my responsibilities, I'm willing to consent to be photographed by other staff if ever they find me sleeping on duty.)

Thanks everyone for your input. This is my mind-set too but I heard that the checks gets wipe off after 1-2 months. I pray they can view them though.

I am already planning to leave but wouldn't want to have those allegations against me knowing they are lies. Secondly, I wouldn't want the bad ones who only grumble about the job and don't do their work keep framing and lying against the hard working ones. I have some Nigerians starting in the same home and might face the same challenge if I just let it slide.

Thank you for your advice about the pictures and videos. The union I belong to is for my main job with the NHS so I don't think I can ask them for advise about this job.

I will present my case clearly as advised but I am quite disappointed that the manager didn't border checking the records at all but onlysaid she was going to checkafter i asked her. Even if they check those records, they always have a backup lie like they inputted but the network was bad so it didn't record but I input everytime and it goes. Hence my reason for wanting to show the pictures but I won't show it again.

Good afternoon my seniors. Please, I have an issue disturbing me and need advice. I received a text message from my care home manager last Friday that I have been taken off my normal shift (night) because of concerns of safety of service users and myself. I called her and asked what the concerns were and she said they reported me for sleeping.

I was very upset and had to narrate all that has been happening to her because she just came to the home and the former manager was lied against and she left the place on a forced leave by the same set of people that lied against me.

They sleep on shift and I am the one that do their checks at night. I asked her if she ever checked online to corroborate what they told her against the night checks because I am the one always doing theirs when they sleep off sometimes for 5 hours they are asleep on night shifts. She said she will check I told her I can't do day shifts because of childcare.

Now she has arranged for a meeting with the HR because I told her everything that those staff have been doing, not working, leaving all the work for me to do, making calls loudly and disturbing the service users at night, sleeping on shift and many more.

My issue is this when they started these lies immediately I joined the organisation one of the staff told me to start keeping evidences. For sleeping the only concrete evidence I have is pictures of them and videos of them sleeping at different times that I have taken, it is against the Company's policy to snap anyone without their consent. Please how do I go about using these evidences to exonerate myself of this allegations as they have tried every means to get me and this is the only lie they could come up with. Can I show the HR the pictures and videos and let her know that I had to do it as I have seen the signs of them trying to frame me up? Please I need advise before my meeting with her. Thank you all.
