I applied on the 21st sept. I was just on d internet around 10 pm yday when I jusy checked and saw that it had changed (mind you I checked in the afternoon and it hadn't changed then). Don't be nervous. Check again this night.

Sorry I just saw this. My status changed to 'processed application delivered to ups(courier) yday night. I still dey wait UPS. Well the school's W/Africa reg. Officer said to call her when and if I get the visa. Am still praying and hoping. Thank you. Hope you get urs tmorrow.

I hope its that easy..i have a friend..the sch has refused to refund..they said except hes denied a visa ..then they wld refund the part payment...miracles happen sha...@ oyinboppper..discuss with the sch about the refund..hope it goes well..when u r applying for d new visa..state it in d comments..that d former.sch didnt extend..

Thanks. I will still try cuz they have a refund policy which allows u a refund depending on when during the year u are withdrawing. They told me dat when I enquired at the point of paying my fees.

penfold: @Oyinbopepper...If the UKBA grants you the Visa,ur school will enrol you,of that I am sure of,just let them know that the delay is from UKBA.I'm in sheffield hallam university,whats ur department,I could make enquiries in person for you on Monday,but I'm quite sure that if UKBA gives you a visa,ur school will enrol you.My class resumed on 19th of Sept and someone from Lesotho still enrolled this week.

I thought so. Thank you. VFS finally replied me dis evening and said mine was undergoing 'verification at visa section'. Funny. I thanked them very profusely anyway. How far with yours?

pearls777: You can always get your money back from them and look for another similar course offered by another school which will allow a January or February start.

That is what I intend to do but would it mean a fresh visa application?

Its on the 15th Oct. No more, no less. Imagine??!! I'm thinking of calling them not email. What do u think? They said I have to defer to Sep 2013. I intend to do no such thing, I will prefer a refund of my fees.

I have had a bad day. My school won't give me any further extension (I asked for a week). VFS/BHC won't pick calls...... Can't defer till January.... Don't know what to do

I can understand ur frustration. Have you been in contact with ur school? What have they said? I think u shld also follow JahboyBol's advice. Go to VFS with ur slip.
P.S. You are right. Those nos can be frustrating but pple eventually get through to them.

If they want to interview you to clarify some issues with ur application then they will HAVE to. But have you tried calling them again?

Donxavier: Mostly schools grant extension for visa delay issues but you never know, contact the school like Justwise said and then you can know for sure.

Believe me dear friend, u don't know how much encouragement you have given me with this post. You mean there actually IS a possibility of my school giving me a few days more (which might be all I will need) from the Oct 15th deadline? If so, @uulove, I think you should try, I know I will!!!

Try using late rooms.com. U can book without having to pay reservation fees. U pay at check-in. Been using them for some time and they are fast and efficient too. Plus u can reac them on phone without hassles.
