NariJJ, I don't think so. The tier 4 visa allows you to stay in the uk for up to 3 months after ur course end date so why would they mandate u to buy a return ticket for the day ur course ends. Maybe the info u heard is for another type of visa or study duration. |
Pearl777', donlexs, You guys are next!!!!!!!!! Start preparing your thanksgiving speech. |
pearls777: I'm just speculating but I think its similar to the way I got an email notifying me that my application was with the BHC and that my CAS had now been "used". It's probably the day someone at the BHC entered your CAS number unto their system.I think so too. Thank u. |
NariJJ: finally back from lagos and I got my visa! I'm very grateful to God! and also those of you who answered my questions, God blessCongratulations |
My piple, this oyibo people Sabi confuse pple o! I logged back to my CAS system and I found this: CAS no.:xxxxxxxxx, status: used, submitted: 24th September 2012. Abeg, what does the 'submitted' part mean?( I submitted my application before the 24th at VFS). ![]() PS: na nite school I go. Tank u |
The truth is witches too plenty for Naija!!!! Haba!!!! The tyre no burst from Doha it was when e begin near Lagos the tyre burst!!! I suggest that before any plane takes off or lands: Three alligator pepper, 2 he-goats, 5 kola nuts, a bottle of palmoil, one vulture's beard, the intestines of an ant..................... |
holladapooo: All my docs was perfect but I was refused under d excuse that they were unable to verify my waec certificate, cos waec didn't respond to dem. My latest start date is oct 15th, am thinking of getting a sealed confirmation from waec addressed to d embassy& then re-apply.but Am considering Time factor. Any 1 with any suggestion.I was very curious yday after reading ur post (curiousity being only one of the many emotions I felt, anger included). How could WAEC not have responded to them? Was ur WAEC cert not the original copy? Sounded flimsy to me. Anyhow, I think ur plan is a good one, especially talking to ur school, starting with the regional officer in Nigeria. A friend said they can be very helpful. |
holladapooo: I guess it has to do more with d volume of docs submitted or hw fast d ECO is, 2 of my friends applied a week after mine & already got their visas.U mean the more docs u submit, the longer it takes the ECO to process ur application? Is that the longest step? I was thinking it was the time taken to sort, organise and present it to the ECO. Anyway, whatever, my prayer remains that GOD shld give them supernatural SPEED with our applications, even they won't know what hit them. |
donlexs: Ikr. The wait is really killing me and I expect the BHC to be fast considering how much we pay for applications. I called them this morning and they said my application is still being processed and before the week ends I'll get it so I am hopeful,as for you just chill coz you'll receive a reply today or tomorrow at worse. The holiday yesterday didn't help too. Let's not be too anxious,God will see us all through.U are right. We all shld hear smthing within this week. And on time for everyone too. |
kayslimshady: God did it for me, I got it today!!! This forum has been wonderfl. A vry big thnk you to evry1. And for those still waiting, holdon he will surly do it for you.Congrats friend, and AMEN!!!! |
Atlantis85: I sincerely pray you get your visa soon. Its taking so long, its probably cos of the backlog of applications, nothing else. so long as you had your 40 points, all should be well... keep calm and prepare for schoolBacklog! OMG. One would think the peak/rush period for tier 4 visas was over and they would have finished with most applications by now, meaning no backlog. They really should start considering making their ECOs do overtime!!! They can pay them from the 78K we all paid. Its a lot of money!!!! |
holladapooo: To be honest the wait is killing.Don't worry u will hear smthing tmr or atmost wednesday. |
I think there's a lot of care on this forum and that's great. It has become like my family. Keep it up. Whummey dear, sorry bout the refusal. Its just a small setback. So I too think u should reapply, pray but believe that its going to work out how God wants it to. Hand everything over to HIM. I also think u should really talk with your school, there might be smthing they could do from their end, u never know. Pls don't worry. |
ayoade.ade:Thank u. Better informed now. Its easy for one to erroneously think braiding one or two 'heads' for some extra change is not bad. Now i know better. Thanks. |
donlexs: Was just wondering if it will be a good idea calling the BHC before the 15 working days elapse? Thanks.I dont think there would be any harm in trying. Worst is they tell u they are still working on it. |
holloziggi: dnt worry at most on tuesday urs should be readyAMIN OOO!!!! My brother, may angels carry ur prayer straight to heaven without go-slow. Thank u o jare. |

Hmmmmm. True. But I read somewhere that u can't be self-employed with a tier 4 visa. I was thinking of doing the hair biz (has been my thing) but this piece of info got me scared. Did I misunderstand what I read? I mean is this true? |
Congratulations Atlantis, Charlesbro,Hollozigi and all the guys that got their visas I haven't and the wait is killing. Its like watching a horror movie in very slow motion wondering what will happen next. |

sasundar: Anyone have applied for University of sheffield Msc Loss Prevention and Process safety n waiting for visa??I applied to th university of sheffield but mph and still waiting for visa |
Your school should update your CAS in 24 hrs or 48 hrs at most. Have you called them to confirm if they have received the £700 or you are just sitting and waiting and hope they do it automatically. Or did you mail them and hope they see your mail, atimes emails are not the best in urgent cases. ADVISE: CALL THEM. I did follow your advice and they have updated my CAS. Thank you so much. I will keep you updated and please join me in praying that my visa comes out in 2 working days!!!!!!! LOL |
Tell me more about the OANDA conversion print out. You missed absolutely nothing! Expect your visa soon!
|
Hello guys. I think this forum is great. I desperately need your advice.i have paid my full tuition fees and was told it was short with about £700 pounds which I have paid but I'm still waiting for my CAS statement to be updated so it won't affect my visa application as I have only the maintenance funds in my account. Problem is, my CAS has not been updated and time is RUNNING Out. What do I do? Go ahead and submit visa application or wait? Please help with your advice and suggestions. |
