Politics / BMW Scandal: PDP Petitioned Over Plan To Field Stella Oduah For Senate Run by OYINBOGOJU(m): 3:38am On Nov 08, 2014
The Ethics Institute of Nigeria has petitioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to kick disgraced former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, out of the race for the Senate.

The petition, signed by Abubakar Balarabe, a Director of the Organisation, stressed that Ms. Oduah’s indictment by both the House of Representatives and the Presidential panel that probed the “Oduahgate” scandal constitute a constitutional, legal and moral impediment to her PDP candidature for the Upper House.

According to the petition (which was exclusively made available to SaharaReporters), the former Minister’s presence on any PDP platform will negatively affect the re-election bid of the President in view of her very negative public perception.

The petition cites the various official inquiries and indictments of Ms. Oduah, and underlined that the cumulative effect is that she is disqualified pursuant to the combined effect of Sections 66 (h) & 318 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria.

It also recalled the damaging allegations against Ms. Oduah, including her deception of the Senate during the process of her Ministerial confirmation.
“Please recall that Ms. Stella Oduah had in a resume she presented to the Senate as a ministerial nominee in 2011 indicated that she obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, United States. Investigations by vigilant Nigerian press indicated that this was untrue. Apart from the scandal, Ms. Oduah was also involved in a certificate forgery scandal. The former minister was alleged to have claimed in the resume she submitted to the Senate for her confirmation hearing that a university, which was later found to be non-existent, awarded her a phantom honorary doctorate degree.

“She also falsely claimed on the website of the Ministry of Aviation that she bagged a Masters degree from St. Paul College, Lawrenceville, Virginia, United States. However, checks at the institution revealed that it did not award her the degree as it does not run graduate programmes.”

The Institute argued that anyone with a background such as this is not a fit and proper person to be elected to the Senate or even be allowed to be associated with the President’s re-election process.

Documents submitted in support of the petition include the report of the Presidential Panel, and a copy of the resume submitted by Ms. Oduah to the Senate for the Ministerial confirmation hearing.

I like Agbaje as a person and his policies are not bad as well.

The problem is he is meddling with the wrong party.

He should have fight for a place in APC.

Because as far as Lagos state is concern APC will always rule.

This thread was created before Jonathan was elected in 2011 and after election we heard nothing about the completion.

The same project is being used to campaign in 2014.

What is wrong with these e-warriors?

Why can't you just be truthful to yourself for just ones? .

Business / Why Was I Banned? by OYINBOGOJU(m): 12:33am On Sep 26, 2014
Dear Nairaland Family,

I am sure the frequent users of business section would have by anyway come accross the single thread i created to empower ladies and gentlemen on here.

Here is the link https://www.nairaland.com/1892498/guidelines-raw-gold-business-free

At initial stage it was smooth, questions and opinions were popping out but suddenly everything died down because i was banned.

I sent various mails to the mods all but to no avail.

No reason was given for my banned.

No reply to differents e-mails i sent.

Well the serious and commited members contacted me through e-mail, phone calls and other means.

I created this thread to get an explanation from the mods about the mystery reason(s) i was banned.

Till this moment i can contribute and creat a topic but i could neither make comment nor reply to that particular thread that i created..

I will aprreciate to have a full explanation(s) from the mods.

Seun Osewa take note.

2. If you can start dis business all over again, how will go about getting your first customer?

3. What time are we meeting dis Sunday?

I will appreciate if you can ask this type of questions on Sunday for the sake of other participant.

This will be part of the benefits of attending the seminar.

Well it takes more than information.

Determination and perseverance play a major role.

We got more than this info in university days but still how many people have turned them to something.

ogb5:

Your answer is not very precise. How do you test the gold to differentiate 22 carat gold from fake gold. I know some of these northerners test gold by adding some liquid to the gold sample and looking for a colour change to confirm good gold. In your case how do you test the quality of the gold.

This information is crucial so that in future if we want to buy gold we can avoid the error you made that got you duped.

We in the business have our own way of testing.

You don't compare ordinary buyers (northerners ) with miners.

Its like comparing sleep and death.

This particular process is called smelting.

The machine, chemicals and whole process may not be available to you as individual.

This is more reason you must deal with miner because everything will be done in your presence.

You need practical before you fully understand.

If you are thinking of dealing with some middle men, they don't have this smelting time and buyers also are too eager or nervous to get the commodity this is where the scam entered.

Also most buyers are kept in the hotel room which means middle men will never allow you to watch or see anything.

After you have paid they will just tell you to wait in your room at the end they will bring fake for you.

No time, no equipment to confirm anything at the hotel.

When you deal with miners you stay in the bush with miners and watch how everything goes.

You can check some of the pictures I posted (page 3) to confirm.

We live in the world of information now and it can be turn to money by smart person.

Its not about fund anyway as you say it is the first step to success.
