Congratulations! After a rigorous selection process, we are pleased to offer you admission into FirstAcademy’s Foundation School Tier-1, starting off with a 12-weeks Instructor-led (classroom) training programme.

The programme is specially designed to equip successful candidates with the knowledge base and first-hand exposure required to start a career in a world-class Financial Institution. FirstAcademy is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and affiliated to the Global Association of Corporate Universities and Academies (G-ACUA) and the World Institute of Action Learning (WIAL).

You will be entitled to a monthly training allowance of N43,685.00 (Forty Three Thousand, Six Hundred and Eighty Five Naira only) for the period of training.

Please note that the dress code is Formal Wear, Mondays to Thursdays and Business Casual on Fridays. Dressing for special events, programmes and/or assignments will be communicated when required.

What is your estimate of the interview duration?

Mine lasted for 1hr 10 minutes.

The interview went.. well.. like every other interview. Behavioural questions here and there. It was a panel of 3: One person from HR, Head of Advisory and Head of Assurance. You'll be drilled, that's for sure, so make sure you know your CV inside out. Also, be able to link up your long term career goal to one of their service units (assurance, tax, advisory), how you can help in building a better world with EY blah blah blah.
It's the same conventional interview structure most of us are used to, so you'll be fine. Good luck to the rest of you.

josh001, dragnet should be able to give clear information, so biko, go on our behalf. EY is playing our heads like ping pong, they sent a success mail to only oyocorper and left us hanging.

But me i'm Feeling the mail will be in batches though, maybe oyo corper is among the first batch.

Heard so too... that you'll be mailed one working day to your interview date. Like, if your interview is on Tuesday, you'll be mailed today; those scheduled for Wednesday will be mailed on Monday.

They did not use cv during the interview, but one of the HCP guys told me they will compare notes from your interview with your cv.

Okay, guys, this is my first time commenting on a nairaland post, so please forgive my mistakes (if any).

First, you guys are really angry people. Jeez! Y'all gotta chill though. Nothing is ever this serious. There's always the option of powering off your phone rather than engage in all these senseless online tirades.

I was part of the 7am Saturday batch for AC and I must tell you that it was way more than I had expected. You'll undergo 7 activities: Group presentation, Competency Based Interview, Logical Reasoning Test, Numerical Reasoning Test, Written Test, Oral Presentation (and prior to this, preparation for the presentation) and Personality test. Each of them would take 20-30minutes each. I'll try as much as possible to go through each of them.

Group presentation, Written Test and Oral Presentation were interlinked (this might change). That is, the topic discussed in the group will be what you will present individually and write about. Try as much as possible to be vocal, make salient points (and, if possible, take an initiative to lead the group) during the group presentations.

Numerical reasoning is made up of commercial maths questions (practice your SHLs and you'll be good to go)

Logical reasoning is a combination of inductive and deductive reasoning, critical thinking and a bit of GMAT problem solving questions.

Well, competency based interview and personality tests are familiar. I can't tell you how to answer those ones, just freestyle mahnn.

Additional: Dress corporately. Suit and tie, smart corporate wears for the ladies. I was thrown off balance when, during my presentation, I was abruptly interrupted to answer why I wasn't in suit.

All in all, be positive, stay positive. Don't be intimidated by anyone or anything. Smile throughout. Even if you get a reject mail, SO WHAT?
