I don't believe calling CC will work though.

I called them up to 4times and they kept saying it had been done.

I ended up going to their office, and it didn't take long before it worked.

I think that's still the best option for now.

So the CC Rep. explained to me that the reason most of the new sims don't come with 4G out of the box is because they are refurbished lines.

She initiated the process and told me to wait for a maximum of 24hrs, I now have 4G service on my phone.

Your phone isn't the problem... Your sim isn't provisioned to receive the Glo 4G signal... I had the same issue with my glo sim.. i had to go to their care centre to resolve it.. just do the same... It just take a lil bit of time and patience... Just tell them your phone has band 28.. they will help you..

Buzz Glo CC on twitter to have them provision your sim for 4G, Glo no longer provisions 4G on their sim out of the pack, so even if you have a 4G sim if it is not provisioned, you'll be stuck on 3G

I thought I was the only one experiencing the same problem with Glo 4G

I have not gotten Glo 4G signal on mine either.

The best is HSPA+ but my 9mobile is not having this issue

I tried using the MTK Engineering App to change it to LTE ONLY but with that I don't get any signals.

I have run the latest Wireless Update so I know it's not from there.

Anyone with any ideas on how to resolve this issue will be appreciated

Every network 4G SIM works on it. However for Glo, your location and the quality of their services there will be a major determiner.

I upgraded my Glo SIM to 4G last week and inserted it in my Umdigi A5 Pro. 4G showed for less than 10 seconds while I was still inside Glo's head office. Afterwards, it's been 3G mostly which is no better than 2G if not 1G( if such exists).

I care less about Glo's terrible 4G network in my location because I use Airtel (Airtel 4G Mifi) across all Internet enabled devices I use.
