I don't think Putin is putting pressure on him to join the fight. The Russian are using Belarus airspace/territory to launch attack into Ukraine. He has seen the Ukrainians demonstrating the ability to carry out attack on Russian territory. So he does want is country to experience such attack. So he is trying to scare Ukraine by telling them if they attack Belarus, another war front will be opened. It is as simple as that.

Apart from that, I think he's going to recreate the February scenario..

The northern part of Ukraine lacks manpower and equipments(except mines) as everything is now down south..

Once the mobilized soldiers are ready, Russia will attack from Belarus towards Sumy, Chernigov and most especially Volyn(this will permanently cut of Ukr's military supplies)

Lukashenko is smart. He has resisted several entreaties by Russia to join the war. Belarus has a small army and a motivated opposition unlike Russia. All Lukashenko allowed Russia to do was to to strip Belarus army of uniforms and guns for their recently mobilised troops to use. He has been under heavy pressure to open another front but has resisted thus far.

So, Belarus and Russia have same military combat uniform..
