Mrexcell:

Hope the organisers will do something about it it's really embarrassing Chidinma was a strong contender to win miss south africa before the south african govt waded in and manufactured something to disqualify her.
The pageant winner has not yet emerged. The online voting is just to get the top 10 contestants to participate in the pageant proper.

On what basis should Mr Kwara victory be canceled ? Would you have demanded for the cancellation of the poll if Chidinma had won ?!

Why are you so foolish for God sake ?

Nobody has won yet.The top 10 will go ahead to participate in the pageant where the top 10 will be chosen.

Which one is Ohanaeze again?

Ndokwa, like other Delta Igbos, have never agreed to be part of Igbo people.

Even though, they speak Igbo language and bear Igbo names but they don't agree to be Igbo. Some say their language is not Igbo but Ukwuani.

So nobody should lump them into Ohanaeze group. Igbos are not looking for cowards

They should do whatever they like, it's non of our business.
And the ndokwa people made you their spokesman?

You people are part of the problem. How many officers were killed in the attack of Delta almost 20 at once and their bodies were cut off. We should always think before posting.
So more than 20 have not been killed before in borno, yobe, kaduna etc?

To me the best venue for this year protest should be Abia State, we need to come together and fight the gunmen killing our people there. We must end every Monday sit-at-home.
Oga this protest is far beyond lagos. I wonder what the hullaboo about lagos really is?
This is a national protest and not restricted to lagos or even the SW alone.

You are one of those affected by the damage caused by their incompetent government. If you think any rational person would support both the previous and current administrations, you might want to have your brain checked.

Jonathan government has created loopholes that allow clueless individuals to gain positions of power. How can a serious country have someone like him as president and still make progress?

Abegi shut up!! GEJ is 100 times better than rubbish we have seen in the last 9 years.

Tinubu is the real definition of cluelessness. He has absolutely no idea what governance is all about.

All he knows is how to win elections by bribery, thuggery and rigging. He knows nothing about governance.

Clueless individuals are running his government especially the stupid finance minister and CBN Governor.

Education / Re: UK University Offers To Fund Flights Home For Nigerian Students Ordered To Leave by PaChukwudi44(m): 5:58am On Jun 12
StOla:
It is time the Nigerian government places a 10year embargo on the siphoning of Nigerian earned funds to sustain academic infrastructures in UK, US, Canada, and any other country Nigerians are going to for education tourism.

Only a foolish country allow people to ship off funds earned in that economy to benefit another economy, without paying any tax to the economy where the funds was earned.

They will sell property in Nigeria and pocket all the money to go donate to another economy, yet no tax is paid on the sale of that property to the economy where the wealth was acquired.

Imagine all the best income earners in Nigeria spending the bulk of their Nigerian earnings on the undergraduate education of their children or their own postgraduate education abroad, after the heavily subsidized undergraduate education that Nigeria provided them to secure those jobs in Nigeria that funded their ambition to wear winter jackets in Europe and North America?

Any country that does not understand the intricacies of economic national security, will keep wondering why its economy continue to flounder.

Even the countries receiving Nigerian funds know how to prioritize their own national economic security, and make policy changes from time to time to ensure that the academic tourists remain only a source of net foreign remittance into their own economy instead of a net subtractive parasite.

I will say it again, the prevailing time is not one to allow your best income earners take funds out of the Nigerian economy without as much as a 50kobo tax on their destructive drain of our national wealth.

Anyone that wants to go abroad for education should find a way to get a job in that country and raise the funds from the income earned in that country.

CBN should with immediate effect prohibit any transfers from a Nigerian account to any foreign academic institution for a period of 10years, while the government should simultaneously raise the school fees to something tangible that you save for years ahead, instead of the rubbish fees that is not up to the pocket money the students spend in a month.

Or is UK or Canada or US tuition fees for local student the kind of amount that local student will spend on buying burgers in a month?

So why are Nigerian universities charging money for 1month shawarma as annual tuition fees?

Charge well, pay lecturers well, and still have enough to upgrade and maintain the education infrastructure in Nigeria.

Goddammit!
Who is this one? You are asking the government to regulate how people spend their personal monies?
What exactly are you smoking.
