Its in IMO and nothing much comes out of it, so u think when Biafra comes it would transform over night? I am from IMO so what are u saying
Oga what am saying is there are numerous untapped resources in SE that can put us on world map if we were have the right leadership.

Palm oil is one of such, If Adapalm is given the right attention, build an oil refinery as planned inside the plantation, don't you think the fortune of the state will change for good with what palm oil is sold In the international market?

Stop giving me fantasy give me proof. Show me links where IMO state and abia became Nigerias leading producer of palm then show me who is stopping IMO state or abia from producing the palm right now plus I want u to give me a break down of world palm oil exports and its market value.

Give me facts not fantasy tell me where Gold was discovered in the east.

You have more literates in the southeast than the whole north combined LoL. Another fantasy

South Africa is bigger than northern Nigeria in land mass.

The reason why Switzerland economy booms is its strategic location plus its a banking hub, Biafra is neither in a strategic location nor a banking hub. Tell me another story.

Lagos state is strategically located plus the boost in development it got as the former capital territory.

U think right now with al the indigenous industries and the Nigerian market anambra state igr is not in top 5 do u think when Biafra comes and the market is gone things will get better or worst?

All your points prove to me that u guys are just fantasizing
Have you had of Adapalm plantation in Ohaji/Egema Local Government Area of IMO State. Please google it. It's one of the biggest palm plantation in West Africa. That alone can transform the fortune of IMO state if put in good use. You guys should try to read about a place before making silly judgement or better still travel around and have first hand experience or information before concluding

Dont mind the ungrateful people. If the west possesses half of the hate the east have for the west, by now, they would have become history. During the war, food supplies was coming majorly from the western region because we had farm settlements and the once they had has being destroyed and they were unable to farm because of the war. Also after the War, all their properties and belongings in the west such as in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo was returned to them, even the ones they called their brothers in the South south region did seized their properties and never gave it back to them. The 20 pounds as at then (1970) is more than enough to start up a little trading business with. If not for the great Pa Awolowo that used his influence of being in charge of Finance then, the North is not even ready to give them a dime and the North called them Barawo it was Awolowo that insist that No they have to give them financial boost to ensure they integrate back to the society. After all the West (Yoruba) did for them instead of being grateful, they pay us back with hate, envy, jealousy, insults, wishing for our downfall, etc. Thank God the Yoruba nation is awake, only some foolish elements in the Yoruba nation that is still speaking to defend the igbo such as that idiot call FFK who because he is married to an Igbo lady want to bring want to bring down the Yoruba Nation to Igbos nation level, he has failed already cause Yoruba Nation is awake.
You people should be ashame honestly, with all the opportunities you had during and after the war, we are still far better than you people. Onitsha, Eungu, Owerri etc were completely destroyed and without shame you peopleare talking about £20.

PoliticsRe: Enugu State Buys 100 Innoson Vans For Nigerian Police (Pictures) by paj4love: 10:32pm On Oct 15, 2019
OEPHIUS:
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State at the Government House, Enugu on Tuesday handed over sixty five (65) patrol vans to the state command of the Nigeria Police Force to aid its security operations.

The sixty five (65) patrol vans were among the 100 units of Innoson vehicles recently purchased by Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration to assist the security agencies in the state to effectively discharge their duties to enhance the peace, security and development.

Gov. Ugwuanyi who had earlier unveiled the vehicles to journalists at the Government House, Enugu, explained that the 100 units of the patrol vans will be handed over to Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police and Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, among others.

The governor added that another 260 vehicles as well as motorcycles and bicycles were also purchased for distribution to the Forest Guards and Vigilante/ Neighborhood Watch groups for community policing.

Speaking after receiving the keys to the 65 vehicles from Gov. Ugwuanyi, the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdulrahman who received the vehicles on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed Abubakar, commended Gov. Ugwuanyi for “this wonderful gesture”, describing the governor as “an unassuming personality, a symbol of peaceful co-existence and the architecture of modern security in Enugu State”.

The police commissioner added that the governor’s gesture was a demonstration of his commitment and determination to secure the people of the state and sustain the state’s glory of being one of the most peaceful in the country.

Abdulrahman stated that Gov. Ugwuanyi has given them the tools to work round the clock, and patrol tirelessly in all nooks and crannies of the state “while doing our investigations and surveillance”.

The CP who assured the governor of the force’s resolve to utilize the vehicles for the purposes for which they were purchased, advised his officers and men against the use of the security cars to attend to their personal needs, saying “you will see them (vehicles) on all our roads, in all the nooks and crannies of the state doing the job”.

He, therefore, prayed that God continues to sustain, preserve and give the governor good health “so that the people of the state and country will reap more from his leadership qualities and milk of human kindness.”

Delta or Akwa Ibom should take the position of Anambra. There is nothing in Anambra to warrant such rating.
The guy is just quoting the news dailies that published the news and it's from the CBN.

What the cbn is simply saying is the top six or seven state where money exchange hands

What you should be asking is how many branch of UBA, Diamond, First bank. GTB e.t.c are there in Delta or Akwa ibom to Anambra or Abia.

I've been to this states I beg to disagree Delta and Akwa ibom join together don't have the number of banks per location than Aba not talk of Abia State as a hole don't even mention onitsha main market.

thats naive thinking especially in a country like Nigeria. the only places where economic power give you political power (some) are in true democracies i.e the western world mostly because such economies truly care about jobs and companies that employ a lot of people cannot be messed with. In Places like Nigeria you enjoy your economic prosperity at the pleasure of those with political power...the North.

In countries like Nigeria, Russia, Saudi, China, you fall out of favour with the political class and your business and fortunes can be crippled overnight. Why do you think Russians and Chinese park their money abroad? Especially in Nigeria where the Igbo business are typically dependent on other territories. there are numerous examples in Nigeria of business men who have overstepped their bounds into the political arena and lived to regret it just as there are many Russian Oligarchs (billionaires) who forget in whom true power lies and came crashing down. have you forgotten the Saudi billionaires who fell out of favour with the new crown prince, including the famous Internationly renown investor Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.

Just like Putin, the north are not interested in economic power, because they know that with political power they call the shots, they have the real power to make and break.

It is curious that you use the word subdue, a freudan slip I think. It says a lot if you ask me and personally a major reason why political power will never be given to ibos. i think the rest of Nigeria knows what the Igbos will do with it if they get it.
Yeah you are right , we definitely know what to do with it if we get it, and am very sure Nigeria will never remain the same..... Because we are the chosen one. Good night bro, really enjoyed the chat

we are not talking about economic power this is a thread about politics.

Nobody can deny the ibos and their economic prowess. You put an Igbo man anywhere and he will rise to the top, no one can take that away from you. I am yoruba, I will tell you yoruba people are lazy (or have become lazy). You will never see an ibo beggar on the streets. You can question the ethics of the ibo man and what he is prepared to do to make money but he will always succeeed economically. it is inevitable that the Ibo man will control virtually all aspects of commerce in this country.....but that is not the topic under discussion.

As good as the Ibo man is in business, commerce, making money, they are pathetic in politics. I have said it before the very thing that makes the ibo man to succeed economically is what hampers them politically....that is their desire to always be the top dog. Its good in business, its bad in politics.
well as for me to hell with political power because nothing positive has come out of it looking at regions that have held such powers since the independent

With economic power you can be a superpower and subdue nations

Oga Economic power is far better than political power, as for me political doesn't equate to success or progress.... If it is then the North and the West should by now look like Dubai

your problem is that you are looking at things from the point of enemies...emotion. Even if you have enemies real politicians understand that you need to win over enemies perceived or real. I think it's clouding your judgement. Ibos have never been much of a factor in lagos elections until recently due to migration, I would say the last 2 or 3 elections at most and what started it was comments by Ibos in 2015 which led to the infamous jump in the lagoon comments. Your comments that he holds lagos by playing the ibo card since 1999 are figments of your imagination 1) because the election results show otherwise 20 ibos only started becoming a factor recently.

1999 Ibos were not a factor, east west migration hadnt really developed steam Ad swept presidential and gov elections
2003 AD was the only state in the SW that remained under Tinubu despite the OBJ onslaught into the SW. Tinubu had a pact with Atiku to deliver SW if PDP keep off lagos. This is when Tinubu established himself as a Godfather.
2007/2011 Again Fashola era Tinubu was never under threat.
2011 SW supported GEJ, delivered Fashola
it is only in 2015 that the Ibo factor reared it's head. So your analysis of a relevant Ibo vote since 1999 is nonsense with due respect

The fact that you start by talking of enemies says a lot. and explains and butresses my point about Ibos and politics and chances of the presidency. If you always think that misfortunes that befall you are vbecause of enemies you will NEVER make progress because instead of examining yourself and your missteps, you will always be blaming someone else for your misfortunes.
Oga southeast is the only region that have made tremendous progress, looking at what they lost during and after the civil war, they really tried. In terms

Entertainment they are well represented

Commerce (import and export ) They are well represented

Maybe you should read what Ekwueme himself said about the coup that took Shagari out. it could be the usual Igbo victim mentality or he may have a point. Either way in 60 years an igbo man has never been president, even a minority has become presidnent. Everytime a man of Igbo extraction has been close either as a civilian or military VP or head of state, he has been removed from office.
A southern minority is something the north never saw coming and it took the nation to adopt the Doctrine of Necesity for that gentleman assume power

There is nothing in the constitution that says power must shift to the SE or the SW.

I have always said this, the north will never vote for Ibo and now because of the noise of the last 4 years neither will the SW, so how do you get the votes to become president?

Ibo will not become president in 2023 or the nearest future and nothing will happen. i will even go as far as to say that Ibos have made themselves unelectable as president of Nigeria...so long as there is a Nigeria.
