Ray Morphy handing over his hotel building to Bishop Audu of Lafia Diocese Catholic church in Nasarawa state:

Mr Ray Morphy first caught our attention a few weeks ago when he went above and beyond to donate his hotel building in Lafia, Nasarawa State, to a catholic church to have it converted into a hospital for the Internally Displaced Persons.

His extraordinary gesture, was an inspirational act of kindness that didn't go unnoticed.


Morphy recently did something that most Nigerians wouldn't dare attempt. Living the simple life!

In a bid to see what it felt like living the life of an average Nigerian hustler, Morphy took a day out, got hold of a tricycle and pretended to be a real Keke Napep rider.


The shocking reactions he got from passengers pretty much summed up his experience.


Below is how he tells his story:



MY DAY AS A KEKE OPERATOR

"I am back and I had a lot of fun today cruising the city as a keke Operator!

Lots of fun carrying passengers to their destinations and then refusing their money.

Come and see surprise, consternation, wonderment and even fear!

Moreover, I had a blast speaking to passengers with an Oxford accent. Some pitied me when I told them I just returned from UK and since I had no job, I took to keke riding.

Come and see sympathy. Ordinary Nigerians are truly kind and loving people! God bless you all for your kind hearts!

It was fun and I had the pleasure of sharing and interacting with people I would never had met otherwise! Glad I had the brainwave to do this.

A couple of females even shed tears of sympathy for me. They were sad that I came back home from abroad only to become a keke Operator! Women can be so kind!"

Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, is still grieving the death of his father, Pa Felix Ndukwu, who passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, after undergoing surgery in Dubai.

The 28-year-old Fernabache forward, shared a collage of himself, his dad and the tattoo he got in his honour last December.

He captioned the heartwarming picture: "saddest moment".

Poor thang. He must have been really close to his dad


BTW: Emenike got a tattoo of his mum and dad on his right arm in 2014.

A teenage boy was on Thursday, electrocuted in Otukpo, Benue State.

The sad incident occurred around 7.30am at Vanapo Hotel junction.

The victim and two others were riding on a motorcycle to an Abattoir when they got stuck in a puddle of water on the road, close to an electric pole that was poorly insulated.



Unfortunately, the victim fell into the water and was immediately electrocuted by shock waves. He died on the spot while the two other passengers escaped unharmed.

The survivors then alerted neighbours who informed the police. With help from the Power Holding Company, the victims remains was evacuated to the mortuary.

Christians on Facebook are divided over a question that was thrown open on Pastor Enoch Adeboye's Facebook page.

One of his followers sent him a message saying:

"Daddy good morning Sir. Kindly help me with an explanation on this issue. The Pastor of my local church said that the soft copy of the Holy Bible in electronic devices cannot be classified as a Bible. It is only the hard copy that can be said to be the real Bible. So those who are reading the Bible from electronic devices are not reading the real Bible. Kindly help me with an explanation on the true position. Thank you."


What are your thoughts on this issue - does an electronic version of the Holy Bible have the same spiritual value as a hard copy version?

Comedian Julius Agwu who survived a traumatizing brain surgery to remove a dangerous tumor a few months ago, threw his doors open to family, friends and well wishers, for a thanksgiving ceremony today, Thursday September 24.

Uti Nwachukwu, is literally fed up with lazy Nigerian youths who specialize in flooding celebrity social media pages, begging and soliciting for financial help.

According to him, a certain young man contacted him on Instagram asking for N40,000 to complete his school fees. Uti offered to give him N20,000 after he verifies the authenticity of his claims to make sure he's not a scammer.

However, to Uti's surprise, the young man rejected the N20,000 offer because "it's not enough".

An angry Uti took to Twitter to lash out at the beggar and his ilk who make a living from this type of fraudulent behaviour.

Nigeria's king of comedy, Ali Baba is happily married to the acting MD of Enterprise bank, Mary Akpobome.

Prior to marriage, Ali Baba claims he was a dog lover who owned a handful of canines.

However, all that changed when he got hitched to his wife who hails from Cross River state - a community that is synonymous with dog-meat delicacies.

Nollywood isn’t all fiction after all. Turns out, 90 percent of their story-line is generated from actual jaw-dropping real life shockers.

A Lagos family is embroiled in the mother of all turmoils after a father caught his second daughter doing runz (prostitution) at a hotel on the mainland – situated around Shonibare Estate, Maryland.



An inside source who’s privy to the genesis and aftermath of the family drama told Sugar Daily exclusively that the 23-year-old lady (IB) and her clique of friends, have several pimps that they work with including one named Tommy.

Tommy contacted IB via bbm on Monday, informing her about a ‘big man’ who was coming into town and needed a young girl to scratch his back. He told IB that the man was willing to drop as much as ₦200,000 for the night.



IB, on hearing the amount she would stand to make from the visit, jumped at the offer without thinking twice.

The runz was settled and a time was arranged for IB to go meet the man at the hotel.

From what I gathered; for fear of you making alternative arrangements with the client and shortchanging them of their cut – most pimps don’t give runz girls the client’s phone number upfront. They just provide you with the details of where you’re going and you show up there.



IB who’s a 300 Level student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, showed up at the hotel lobby. Rang Tommy and told him she was around. Tommy provided her with the room number. She went upstairs. Knocked on the door. Her father opened the hotel room door.

…and then Armageddon happened.

There was lots of screaming followed by monumental beating to the point of unconsciousness. Save for the hotel management that intervened, the girl would have died that night.



The incident is still very fresh and from what I hear, the girl is hiding out in Ilupeju at her aunt’s. Her mother is yet to see her because the issue reportedly raised the father’s blood pressure and he’s at the hospital.

However, a friend of hers is insinuating that Tommy set her up. She told Sugar Daily exclusively that IB isn’t from a rich family and there’s no way her father would have been able to afford ₦200,000 to pay any girl for a night (if the deal was a real one).

She claims IB and Tommy have deep unsettled issues that had been boiling on the downlow and it was only a matter of time before one of them did something dangerous to the other.



The source also revealed that most Nigerian pimps are very wicked. Once they know you’re desperate, they will sleep with you first before they love-vendor you out. They’ll try to control you and use you to make as much money as they can. And woe to you who grows wings and tries to challenge them. Their wrath will be yours to deal with.

The aftermath of this drama is still developing. We’ll keep you updated.
