There is nothing like fluid system when you are playing against 11 players defending deeply against your team, to grind out result. Costa had to bully martins indi to score, against a stubborn stoke. When chelsea played against barca in 2012, fluid system got them to nowhere against a defensive chelsea. Their striker was nowhere to be found.

Aurier, Van Dijk and Drinkwater are the players shortlisted already.

Now IMHO, the arrival of Dijk should see Azpi moved to the RWB on a permanent basis. We already have to many Centre-halfs and it's getting crowded over there.

With Azpi and Moses at the RWB, there won't be any need to bring in Aurier, who looks pretty much like Costa 0.2, rather his funds should get us another LWB, a competition for the feeble Alonso.

Drinkwater would count as homegrown talent and he knows the league well too. I won't mind having him, that our midfield needs anything that can trap the ball and tackle humans, just incase Kante shuts down.

One LWB, one CB and one CM, and we are good.

For Aurier tho I hope his behaviour changes for good has that is his only red flag he would be able to play that RWB position better than moses especially in terms of crosses, Van Dijk purchase means one of our three starting defenders would have to be dropped and it hard to choose which, Cahill seems to be the weakest point but since he has just being made club Capt benching him instanta for a newcomer might not go well for team harmony and besides Cahill hasn't been really bad in the league, Perhaps David luiz could be moved to midfield? Drinkwater purchase might not be needed if Luiz is converted to a midfielder. Leaving Alonso 's position there were rumours of Candreva flying around last week perhaps him if Sandro isn't leaving.
