For me there are three things we need to do to avoid defeat
1. Diego Costa must stay cool at all cost, Jose has always been a master of Mind games and with Costa form of late what it means is that Blind/smalling and Baily especially would be deployed to close mark and irritate him. I hope Conte and Captain Terry talk sense into him and i pray he heeds it or else we could be looking at a Red card scenario just like the method employed to defeat Arsenal during the first leg.
2. Hazard and who ever partners him at the other side of costa have to be on form to exploit the spaces created, as nateevs rightly observed Jose would make use of his full-backs to press our wing-backs down and they would have to closely operate with the Marcos and Moses to make sure the transition from defence to attack isn't completely shut down.
3.Luiz and Azpi would also have to deal with the runs of the wing forwards and full-backs with the help of Moses and Marcos of course. How good they are at doing this would determine how many crosses and passes would enter our box taking in mind Ibra aerial prowess and acrobatics, I doubt Cahill would be able to hold too much pressure and with the muscle men in midfield- Pogba and Fellaini, Matic would have to sit deep to tackle and also give back Steel for Steel and with the limited passing range of Matic it means Kante would have lot of runnings to do to receive the ball to move it forward and also help with the defensive duties against three in centre of the midfield I hope his energy reserves keep up. All in all this should be a high intensity match if Manure comes out to play and any error on both sides would be punish.
My prediction would be 2-1 in our favour |

philfearon: My best Barca Moment : There are a lot of great moments I have had while watching Barca play, but this one was the Greatest of them all. It was in 2009,at Stamford Bridge. I was reeling from the fact it was turning out to be old Trafford(2008) all over again. I almost wept. The whole Chelsea people in my street were taunting me, I felt so terrible that at the 88th minute, I told myself it's over. Immediately I left where I was watching the match, and entered my house, I heard a great goal shout. I thought Chelsea has scored again. My heart almost broke. Immediately, my friend rushed to our house and started shouting like a madman. I don't I think have ever had such surge of joy in my life. My own madness surpassed his, I ran out and started shouting up and down our street barebodied . I came back to our house, wore my full Barca attire and headed straight to The main road. O boy! Come see other barca fans madness na! I have to add though that my celebration for when we won Manchester United at the final was great, but that Iniesta moment against Chelsea is it! Ha your post brings back bitter memories so bitter the joke my friend was telling became stale. Thunda fire ovrebo and ballack for not sacrificing his face or chest just because of few mins of pain and allowing Iniesta to score. |
