it can still be a 3-4-3 with Odoi and pulisic at wingback. Or is that hall guy a Left back?

This is not true. If there is a constant debate over a player, i think it reflects the player being a player of high value. A lot of Man-u fans till today are debating whether Ronaldo is really important to their team despite his record clearly showing.

Before Messi left Barca, a lot of barca fans too were constantly arguing over him with many saying that his role was overstated. I'm sure PSG fans are doing the same.
These problems are highlighted especially when things are not going perfectly for the team.
That some fans can't see the value of their own valuable player doesn't mean that play is not indeed valuable, that's why fans are not in the boardroom making decisions, their fickleness is unmatched.

I keep saying it, A jorginho in a Guardiola system would be fire. Much more than rodri is performing right now. Guardiola knows this which is why he chased him vociferously.
If there is so much debate over a player's value to the team then it is very likely that player has a limitation or hindrance affecting the team negatively.

Ronaldo before he joined united was constantly called out by juve legends saying he affected the team's organization, I was one of those who felt they exaggerated things until I saw him at United. As it is as good as Ronaldo is there are ways he negatively impacts this united team. He is no longer as explosive (sharp) as he was and because his fitness level isn't at the level it was before he has to accommodate that by being passive in build up play, he can't help in pressing as a younger winger or CF would. He can't even play as target man because that isn't his style. He is basically an Inzaghi with better technique and finishing.

The reason why Jorginho gets bashed on this thread especially by Ibime and others is because he is a limited player and also commits stupid errors that lead to goals. Now even a limited player can perform under the right tactics which is what Tuchel has done but one has to wonder if the team could play even better without having to accommodate such player.

Lol quite a lot of posts on this issue of Jorginho. I don't think there is a player that polarizes the opinion of fans the way he does especially fans of the same club.

That game was wasy mehn, we should have put the tie to bed though. Saul did well today in the defensive part, Tuchel use of 4-3-3 was a masterstroke, Spurs were utterly confused.

I like that our team is quite versatile and tactical especially the defence and midfield.

That free-kick was so special.

Seems you didn't see the way he won it....

The trajectory of Alonso's coiled kick was as a result of how he won it...if u watch d ball well ...u will see how havertz bent wen he was going down ...d ball followed same trajectory.

Check how kovacic rebound kick bent as well.....they followed d root .

Following my comrades......havertz scored that first goal cos if the root was faulty....Alonso and kovacic would have vollied d ball.

The 2nd goal was the best...see the way havertz yelled at VD......this caused commotion in the background as well...

The yelling alone is enough...so I think he scored d 2nd goal as well .

I gave up on baba when he said Havertz run made the final goal not Mount. No be say na baba dribble everybody score or he score long range like kovacic yesterday. He didn't see Werner dragging a defender away to create the space and mount having the vison to pick him out. No all praise must be to Havertz

Exactly. When I started learning Spanish my teacher was surprised at how quickly I got the basics but she didn’t know I had learnt some Italian from one babe I was kpanning when I was in the world.

Apart from similar words those languages often follow similar rules in terms of grammar and syntax. Once you learn one it is so much easier to learn the next one.
Doc are you saying you are no longer in the world? Like you are with Jesus Christ now? cheesy

Dennis had always wanted to focus on his career in England and create a name for himself

There was no way he’d honor a call to the SE at this moment.
Can't say I blame him. He is in good form now. He might go for AFCON and find himself on the bench like that and the momentum will slow down, he might come back to find out Watford have moved on without him.

nonsense, so if we change to attacking formation, must alonso play, cant our coach think, and find solution to the problem. example mancity vs leeds this season. mancity had left back cancelo injured. stones played right back. how many times leeds exposed stones and score, mancity destroyed leeds 7:0. cant tuchel do the same at chelsea, rudiger or chalobah can do a very good job at left back and right back. for the dm position must jorginho play dm, azpilicueta, even silva not forgetting kante, can play there, untill our injuries problem is over, then the normal players take over their positions back. this season, look a mancity, debruyne injury, still winning, fernandinho out still winning, isnt tuchel versatile again, guardiola is levels above him, in tactics and versatility, and that wins epl not this stupid one dimension, always complaining of injured players, mentality. tuchel deserves every inch of pressure he gets, very stupid man, who told him to loan livramento, gilmour and gallagher arent this the players that would have helped him to, balance and cover this injury crises, so how is guardiola succeding keeping all his superstars Happy, and benching them time to time, and still getting best out of them. abeg tuchel should learn from giardiola, cus chelsea will not even smell epl with his cowardice and safety first and approach.
Rudiger at which lb I hope you aren't forgetting this guy is right footed, Azpi in his prime at lb was ultra defensive with no attacking output so rule him out. Alonso can't play lb without being further exploited by opposition wingers.

As for your so called dms Kante is always injured and we all know that isn't his best position though he can play there, Silva at DM a position he hasn't played in his senior career? At age 37 or so in the EPL? Lol na your type be like Gary Neville wey sabi talk but when job reach na popo them use send am comot.

Gilmour chose to go on loan to get more game time, livramento was sold plus he wasn't interested in signing a new contract.

Tuchel has delivered what guardiola couldn't do despite a gargantuan amount spent by the latter. Abeg talk better thing abeg. If e easy go do am.

All these talks of formation change is funny to me. Which formation are we changing to that either be the same or even worse. We don't hadh enough miffiskdees for 4-3-3. A 4-2-3-1 means lesser protection for our slow left back Alonso, more work for our slow DM Jorginho, perhaps we create more quality chances but that doesn't mean we would finish them.
James don get injury now, only Jah knows when he will return. Na Azpilicueta go dey play fullback?

It seems kante is injured again o.
We have concerns for injured players. We let Callum Hudson-Odoi play 90 minutes after Covid. Thiago Silva got injured. N'Golo Kante is injured. Mateo Kovacic is playing after injury and Covid without any preparation and training. We’re just filling holes where we can fill them. We play teams without international duties. Five changes were invented because of Covid. Now we're in the middle of Covid and some teams are having games postponed and others aren't. Three changes is a big disadvantage.

I think James has been targeting Alonso, the biggest man joining the attack. That's why a lot of his deliveries have sailed to the back post. It'll be hard to get a good low delivery into the box tbh.

But James had been off it, admittedly.

Jorginho misplaced a pass and stopped running after the person he gave the ball. Nawa!
He can't run. That is his 2nd greatest weakness after his love for errors that lead to goals/big chances.
