I spent the 2 million overtime in the space of TWO AND HALF YEARS.... My first stock was 5000 fingerlings which I bought for 20 naira each.. And feeding them with about 700,000 naira,I still have the records.. At harvest I only sold about 300,000 there by making a lose of roughly 400,000, if u minus feeding and the purchase of the fingerlings..Of which I did not even add salary, fuel,drugs etc..

I harvested 5 times within the two and half years.. Of which I consequently lost money all through..roughly With my calculations its even more than the 2million naira...

I know I could learn it in lagos but like I said earlier on most of the farm I visited where not even sure of what they where really doing..they only told me what I know already... I had to source for a training outside because I wanted a different training to what others are doing.. I thank God I took the right step to learn from songhai..

My fellow farmers and aspiring farmers fish business is no joke.. Its not what u toil with, its serious business.. Before u venture into it go and learn it practically.. Go to a good farm to see for youself.. Majority of the people that claim to be in the business are thieves.. They have sugar coated mouth to lure people into it and take their money...

I had to sqeeze out time to write this little piece for aspiring and practising farmers..

It's a long thing as it involves several requirements and efforts. Firstly, do u graduate with a first class or a strong 2-1 grade in ur BSc?

For Visa processing Bro. My case is actually a bit different because it's a scholarship awarded by the Belgian government to study at kuleuven. Although they asked me to await their mail regarding my visa processing in June. Just want to know about the legalization before then. Thanks for ur concern

Due to constant request for experience farm managers from our clients, we have decided to train unemployed youth who on successful completion of the training will be recommended and reffered to the various agribusiness companies that requires their service.

Our core training crops are vegetables such as Tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, ugu, okra, lettuce, chilli peppers etc.

Requirement for Participation

* Participants must have passion for agriculture and agribusiness. Be prepared to learn as we work.

* Participants should be prepare to undergo training for minimum of 3 months. 80% participation level is required

* Participants should be prepare to follow stipulated rules and regulations on the farm.

* Participant will be responsible for their feeding and maintenance for the training period.

* Participants who will like to be accommodated will be require to pay N15,000 for the 3 months period.

* Registration starts immediately.

* Its on first come first serve basis.

Went to the farm yesterday and most of the cucumber seeds sprouted will give back on Monday to check if all of them are out of the soil then replant any one which failed to germinate.
