Worst part of your story is there is no credible evidence to support.
No coup plotter since Nigerian's independence has come out to say Abiola bankrolled their coup.
I don't trust him either but I think many stories are made up because of his closeness to the military.

How Abiola would have bankrolled Buhari's coup without gaining anything in return is a mystery.
Abiola flirts truly and is a deep womanizer but that doesn't mean he can't be a good President.

One thing that separate Abiola from most politicians was the fact that he can spend his last kobo on people.
The number of people he gave scholarships, I doubt any nongovernmental entity has ever done so since he died.
