TV/MoviesRe: 'A Very Dirty Christmas': CAN Condemns Ini Edo’s Film As Offensive To Christians by papiilo(m): 1:00pm On Dec 20, 2025
mikeapollo:
A very useless and shallow so called "Nollywood" that just copies whatever that is trending, no matter how stupid, and jumps on it for their crappy movies
Just because "Detty December" (which started in Ghana years ago by the way) has now been copied into Nigeria since 2024 (last year), they have foolishly started using the caption in their movies, in total disrespectful for the sentiments of Christians.
see this one after Nollyhood open your eyes u now even have mouth to criticise them

FedPoly Oko Holds Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons, Rewards Outstanding Staff

By Mokwugwo Solomon

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, on Friday, December 19, held the 2025 edition of the Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons, where it also rewarded some staff of the institution, who distinguished themselves in the service of the polytechnic community.

Some of the staff honoured include: Engr Nwankwo, Brand Ambassador; Dr. Gift Eyisi, Most Friendly Staff Award - Female Category; Sylvester Nwafor, Most Hardworking Staff Award; Engr Dr. John Egbunike Ananti, Most Friendly Staff Award - Male Category; and Mr. Fidelis Alor, Most Dedicated Staff Award.

Others are: Mr. Ikechukwu Chinekwu of the Bursry Department, who bagged the Most Diligent Staff Award; Odumegwu Chinecherem, Outstanding Students' Union Award; as well as Mrs Ada Ekeoma and Mr. Paul.

The Rector said that the management looked carefully through every unit of the polytechnic to get the very bests for the awards.

Earlier in her address at the ceremony held at the convention arena of the polytechnic, the Rector, Dr Chioma Irene Awuzie, said that members of the polytechnic deliberately paused from their demanding schedules to reflect on the birth of the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ: the greatest gift humanity has ever received.

She said, "As the Scriptures remind us in Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” In these words, we are assured that light still shines in the midst of uncertainty, fear and challenge.

"Christmas is more than celebration; it is a call to unity, love and moral renewal. A period of sober reflection living in the spirit of onye aghala nwanne ya (that no one should forsake his brother) and omume ezi omume (the pursuit of good deeds); we are reminded that compassion, humility and mutual respect must guide our daily lives."

She appreciated the polytechnic community; students, parents, the academic, administrative and technical staff, who through their resilience, professionalism and sacrifices throughout the year, sustained the institution.

The Rector also acknowledge with gratitude and thanksgiving the tangible progress being recorded within the polytechnic in the course of the year.

She said, "Management has remained deliberate and proactive in pursuing both internal initiatives and external support to enhance our learning environment.

"I am pleased to announce that the Governing Council, at its 124th Regular Meeting, graciously approved the 2026 appraisal and promotion report for academic and non-teaching staff, with effect from January, 2026. Promotion letters will be issued shortly, and we congratulate all deserving beneficiaries in advance.

"I am happy to announce that Senator Barnabas Gemade Medical Centre, Ufuma, will soon commence operations because, all equipment and facilities required for the full take-off of the hospital have been fully procured and installation will commence soonest.

"Similarly, the resuscitated Moment FM Radio, domiciled in the Department of Mass Communication, has also received its required energy infrastructure, which is currently being installed to enable full broadcasting operations. Joyfully, I further announce that work at the ICT Experience Centre, a Federal Government pilot initiative under the Office of the First Lady and sponsored directly by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has attained approximately 65% completion.

"In addition, work has recommenced on the Hospitality and Hotel Complex following the revalidation of the project by TETFund. Upon completion, this facility will offer quality lodging and hospitality services to guests of the polytechnic. Management has also taken delivery of additional student chairs and desks, which are presently being installed in lecture halls across the Oko campus to further improve teaching and learning conditions. These milestones are more than infrastructure: they are symbols of renewal, progress, and hope; clear evidence that Federal Polytechnic, Oko is being steadily repositioned for relevance, excellence, and national impact."

The Rector finally tasked all staff and students of the polytechnic on
peace, discipline, and institutional pride.

She called on all staff and students to join hands with management to move the Federal Polytechnic, Oko to greater heights; urging them to become proud ambassadors of the institution: consciously projecting, promoting and protecting the good image of the polytechnic.

Tekashi89:
Anthony Joshua knocked out the YouTuber turned boxer in the 6th round in Miami.

Anthony Joshua reacts to KO win over Jake Paul
"It wasn't the best performance — It wasn't the best. The end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down, and hurt him. That has been the request leading up [to the fight] and that's what was on my mind. It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination.

"Now, Jake Paul — he's done really well tonight. I want to give him his props. He got up time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept on trying to find a way. It takes a real man to do that. Anyone who laces up these gloves, we always say, we give them their respect. We have to give Jake his respect for trying and trying and trying. Well done, but he came up against a real fighter tonight that's had a 15-month layoff. We shook off the cobwebs and I can't wait to roll into 2026.

"If Tyson Fury's as serious as he thinks he is and he wants to put that on his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there that will take on any challenge — step in the ring with me next if you're a real bad boy. Don't do all that talking. 'AJ this, AJ that.' Let's see you in the ring and you talk with your fists."

Joshua explains why the fight went six rounds
"As I said, I need to give this guy a systematic breakdown. I know what type of fighter he is, and I said, I'm going to take his soul, and I said I'm going to see it leaving his body round after round, and when the time comes, some people are just there to get knocked out."

Jake Paul reacts to KO loss
"Yeah, I'm feeling good. That was fun. I love this sport. I gave it my all. It's f***ing crazy. I had a blast, and thank you to all the fans and everyone. I'm just blessed by God to be able to put on performances like these and big shows with Netflix.

"Anthony is a greater fighter, and I got my ass beat, but that's what this sport is about. I'm going to come back and keep on winning."

"I think my jaw is broken by the way. ... It's definitely broken. That was good. Nice little ass whopping from one of the best to ever do it. I love this s***, and I'm going to come back and get a world championship belt at some point."

"Honestly, I'm not surprised [I went six rounds with Joshua]. I just got tired to be honest. It was just so much handling his weight. I think if I had better cardio, I could've kept it up and kept on fighting, but he did amazing. He hits really hard and I just did my personal best."

"Oh yeah for sure [I'm going to keep fighting]. We're going to heal the broken jaw, come back and fight people my weight — go for the cruiserweight world title."

"I'm going to take a little break. I've been going hard for six years, so I'm going to take some time off."

RomanceRe: "The Downfall Of Our Marriage" by papiilo(m): 8:46am On Dec 20, 2025
Kalatium:
I came across a story today that hit deep.
A man shared how his marriage crumbled not because of infidelity, but because of ego.

It started with one argument about him coming home late. His wife finally stood up to him, not with tears this time, but with strength. He felt “disrespected,” so he decided to teach her a lesson.

He packed her things and their daughter’s, threw them out, expecting her to beg. But instead… she left.

He thought she’d crawl back after her parents talked sense into her. She didn’t.
Instead, she rebuilt her life quietly.
She rented her own apartment. Got her peace back. Glowed up. And yes… eventually found someone new.

Now, he’s broken, realizing too late that the woman he thought he could control was the same woman he truly loved.

*****'

The Hard Truth:
Some men don’t lose their wives to other men, they lose them to neglect, pride, and emotional starvation.
You push her away, she leaves. You call it stubbornness.
But the truth? She just got tired of begging for love.

To be honest, not every woman who leaves is wayward, some are just done suffering in silence.

Not every man who cries after divorce misses his wife, some just miss the control they lost.

And sometimes, you don’t realize how much peace costs until you destroy yours.

Lesson:
When love turns into a power struggle, there are no winners just broken hearts trying to prove a point.
If you truly love someone, drop the ego. Pride may win the argument, but it always loses the marriage.
nice this is indeed a lesson to...
