Nigeria Sports ministry and the NBBF agree to build basketball courts in all senatorial districts in Nigeria.

On when the project will likely start, Honorable Dare said, “By January, 2021, we should have a template of how this will run, how the funding will be received, how it will be implemented and how those our young ones in primary and secondary schools, villages and some of these senatorial districts can just stroll into a basketball court and make basketball a culture. That is what happens in America.”

Atedo Peterside, the president and founder of Anap Foundation, says the Nigerian economy is rigged in favour of a handful of well-connected people.

It comes after the managing director of Dangote Cement, Michel Puchercos, told an investor on Monday that the government had given them a waiver to export cement to Togo and Niger despite the closure of international borders.

Reacting to the news of the export to Dangote, Peterside, also the founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank expressed his displeasure in a tweet.

“Why refuse everybody else & allow only one company (Dangote)? This is why some of us argue that the Nigerian economy is rigged in favour of a handful of well-connected persons,” he tweeted.

Ghana's World Cup legend Asamoah Gyan has returned to the country's top-flight league by signing for moneybags Legon Cities on Satuday night, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 34-year-old sealed the deal on Friday night after meeting the club President of the ambitious side to conclude the deal.

Gyan, who has been without a club since January, has agreed deal with the Legon-based club after Asante Kotoko failed to meet his demands.

Gyan has agreed a four-year deal which will see him earn more than $1 million - a record in the local transfer.

As part of the deal, Gyan asked the Ghana Premier League side to sign teenage sensation Mathew Cudjoe provide him with the passes to destroy their opponents in the country's top-flight.
