Nairaland General › Sorry State Of Our Environment (pics) by pappy4real(op): 8:29pm On Jul 01, 2016 |
Sometimes, I wonder the kind of vigorous reforms, unpleasant policies and extremely harsh penalties that would make nigerians adhere to simple environmental laws and take sanitation seriously and also reset Nigeria on track of greatness. Wondering why I'm ranting so much? Here are disheartening pictures of a supposed drainage. Its a major drainage in Ladipo area of Lagos inward from maryland. And to think that this is directly in front of a popular radio station makes it even worse to imagine. Its just sad to see how people degrade the environment to this level and expect the government to protect them from disaster such as flooding when the simple solution is just sanity. Use of waste bins, proper disposal, and general recycling amongst other measures could put an end to this and forestall impending self inflicted disaster that could arise from this. P.S I doubt such topics make front page since its not news of unclad celebrities or animal violation. SMH

Hi all, ive noticed there's hardly room anywhere on the Internet for celestial singles to hook up as people from other Christian denominations see us as weird or just don't simply understand us. So I thought it wouldn't be bad to create an avenue for truly celestial singles to meet up. I attend CCC banquet of Salvation parish sango-ota though I live in shogunle lagos. C&S singles too are highly welcome. Let's see how this goes. Here's my pin 2B29451C |

Business › Re: How To Stay Rich Even When You Have A Very Low Income by pappy4real(m): 8:44pm On Jun 15, 2016 |
Anuoluwapo23: Its nice to write again and I'm really excited to share this story of mine to every Nairalander so i would be needing your help(mods) also to reach more people on this interesting tips of mine..
I'll be giving out just 3 tips,I was in a bus today and I was thinking about my life and giving thanks to God and how I could have saved over 500k in my twenties even without supports from my parents or family,we arent really financially stable so i just had to source funds for myself and all sorts by myself.
1.Socialize and Make Friends:Some people call themselves introverts but I think this is a very bad thing because it would really affect your standard of living even if you're the richest in this world because you would need someone's help to get rich or get high in life, you know you can't do this alone, just socialize, make friends, let your friends help you,let them pay for your food, let them pay for your drinks, let your rich colleague pay for your lunch, it might look like begging or some sorts but because you know where you came from, don't be shy to ask people to help you, don't be shy to talk to anyone thats helpful,it might be your lucky day.
2.Tell people your problem; In 2009 I remember when I needed a job so bad that I told a friend of mine about my difficulties, but my friend that I told had another friend, she told her friend about my issues,I should be angry but I wasn't because I didn't expect her to tell someone I don't know about myself, and I didn't request her "uncalled for BC",but I I don't know who's who,so I kept my cool, and few weeks later her friend got me a job which was actually my dream job in an accounting firm and its a very good one, when I got the job, first week,my boss liked me so much just because I was the open minded type,I do not hide my problems from people,he always pay for my lunch and drops me at the busstop of my area and it went on and on that my salary was really enough because I don't even remove up to 10k out of it in month, isn't it cool?
3.Be A Giver ;What do I actually mean by this?its not just about giving and not expecting a return on investment, its about giving and expecting nothing to come out of it,not even 5N. Earlier this year,my aunt had her wedding ceremony and we were all excited and all sorts, some people just came and said they haven't eaten but I don't know them, and they were my aunt's guest but they had gone home for verification so I just overlooked it,although I should be angry because even me I hadn't eaten for the day so it should be annoying that someone came "after party" for God!Nobody really does that but these men did it for real, and I gave them my food that I had reserved for myself, (they were two) so they ate my one plate until earlier this month,I saw one of them in Abeokuta at a store where i was trying to decide on which blender to purchase from the 3chub store somewhere in panseke, and what they had that day was a syinix blender and the man didn't just purchase the blender though, he also bought me a huaweii device because I said I had non at the moment although I had non,I got robbed in my street by 9pm(May God Help Us In Nigeria) so they snatched my bag which had (a boom j8,a vodafone tab,my makeup kit,my shawarma,8k,and my devices charger and different stuffs " but I'm grateful to God that I wasn't even stabbed. So it just happened that way..
That scenario is really funny but that's how to stay rich,Thats how I stay rich even when I have a very low income,I hope we all make use of these beautiful steps of mine, I didn't even read them from a book,Its my idea, please read and share and like. Nice tips but trust me, most of those worked out 4 u cos ure a female. I'm not trying to be pessimistic but would d dude had bought d devices 4 u if u were a guy? Or would ur boss be dropping u off every evening if u were in guy? Lik I said nice write up anyways |

Jexyme: Copied. ADVICE TO ND AVENGERS: Keep on keeping on. Pls don't listen to anybody advising you against pipeline vandalization. Keep it up. Deal with Buhari(Pharaoh), APC & northern hegemony. Destroy your land so that the people of Katsina will suffer. Before you detonate the next bomb & blow up the next pipeline, think again. The Ogoni land is getting cleaned up & soon commercial fishing will commence. Your friend in Enugu that is urging you on is going back to farm, Enugu will soon be one of the leading producers of banana & pineapple in the world in collaboration with a Mexican company. Your friend in Lagos is urging you on to destroy ur land but he is going to Kebbi to get farmlands for rice farming. Meanwhile they have also started drilling oil in Lagos. Wait, Kebbi will soon feed the whole country & export. Tuta absoluta attacked Kano, Jigawa & some northern states & you catch cold in your Creek. Your brother in Edo will soon be supplying the whole country with tomatoes due to Igbinedion university. Are you thinking already? Norway want to eliminate all cars using fossil fuel by 2025. The world is moving on my brothers. You think you are sabotaging Buhari but he is gradually settling down into govt. Boko haram has been largely decapitated & the world recognizes that. Anti corruption fight is progressing. About 3 trillion naira was announced recently as recovered & frozen loots. That's money stolen by the love of your life. Money that could have been used to develop the Creek. Money that would have connected you with roads, bridges & other amenities. They stole it & gave you guns to go into the Creeks. How many among the love of your life can spend a night with you where you are right now? Where are their children? I heard your beloved PDP has zone presidency to the north for 2019 election. The same north you so much hate. The same north that is dominating you. Can't you see they are just deceiving you? You are not their concern. Their concern is the loots from the oil produced on your land. They don't care if you destroyed the land. They have no plan to live there. How many refineries have they built for you with all the looting. They love you so much to keep you on 65k U have spoken well and very well indeed. I wish these folks will think deeply n realise what they're doing is more of self destruction than vendetta. I asked @Niger Delta Avengers on twitter if d likes of asari or tompolo have done anything worthy of note to d region. They claimed to be fighting for d region n its people but then their pockets and personal accounts keep taking d amoeba shape yet d people and region remain impoverished. Ain't it funny that Asari had to build his university in Benin republic yet he's crying foul that his region is underdeveloped. |

lordizak: I understand their pain, but terrorism, vandalism, and threatening of war is not the answer. Secondly, International community can't give us a swift solution, A case study is Syria, Pakistan, Russia, Secession is not as easy as you think. The major mistake of PMB's administration is the revocation of the pipeline guard contract. I believe, without violence, there's a fix. Together we'll achieve great things. For a ship to sail well, sailors will say ; All hands on deck. Give Nigeria one more chance. Exactly my point. They don't have to get violent. The ruins they're causing is more to their region than any other region. If eventually they get d sovereign state they request, they'll spend more years that could have been used for productive ventures to clean up d mess they're creating today. I really wish Nigeria could disintegrate peacefully and all regions would then develop themselves with their own resources or source from other regions respectfully and legally. |
