My Toyota gurus, why are Toyota cars always having gear failures? From 1999 till date. Someone recently bought a used gear of a Lexus Rx 350 2017 model for 3.5m and a 2018 highlander for 2.5m. All these excuses of 13 pin, 30 pin, what is the way forward?

Some cars are made with bad gearboxes from factory, the rest is a failure on our part in maintenance. all gearboxes should have their oils drained and refilled every 30000 miles for rest of mind. Whenever i change my cars and want to have my oils changed mechanics will start asking why? e don dey give problem? why u wan change? They know what is the best but will rather have you wait until it gets faulty. Even the manufacturers have succeeded in sealing the gearbox, making it difficult to check the oils, then even tag their oils lifetime.

Get the 2006 RX330, It is luxurious and more spacious than the Rav4. But if you want the Rav4 go for the 2010 V6 4WD variant, its the top spec model with an updated engine.
