EntertainmentRe: Black Man Stuns U.S. Police With Daring Escape After Suddenly Sprinting Away by PAQ(m): 5:38pm On Jul 18
A standard patrol officer carries an additional 9 to 14 kg of equipment during a routine shift, which spikes to 18 to 27kg for tactical or SWAT officers who carry rifles and heavier armor. Nobody, is thinking about this when praising the runaways agility. Try chasing someone with that much weight on you, lets see true agility and manoeuvrability.
CelebritiesRe: The Average Nigerian Is Not A Good Person - Shank by PAQ(m): 9:19am On Jul 17
This is the truth. For a nation that is so religious we do some of the most wicked things to our own. From tales of how kinsmen kill themselves out of envy to the way we break laws with impunity and take what belongs to others like its our damn right. It takes almost nothing to take a life in this country, you can be mobbed to death on a peaceful day for senseless reasons.

NYSCRe: "Don’t Pay Ransom, I Will Kill Myself": Corper's Last Message To Her Father by PAQ(m): 7:01pm On Jun 13
kpankpangolo:
Imaginative writer, where is the official report of this story? I don’t know what you children gain from concocting fake news. Yes, she may have been abducted — if the story is true to begin with. What I doubt are all the thriller movie sequences of the write-up.
Even if what you say is true, there are many more horrible, heart wrenching real life incidents going on daily in the hands of these bandits. We can run our imaginations as wild as we can, but its never far from what is happening. After i watched a video of bandits canibalizing on their captives nothing is impossible.

Age is a MudaFuka! Young ones will not understand that we too were once hot & attractive. They feel we were born with white hairs, wrinkle skin and pot bellies.

InvestmentRe: Buying Land Or Keeping The Money In Bank by PAQ(m): 3:41pm On Jun 03
Who still keeps money in the bank? Buying land is good but you have to be extremely careful. Not everyone wants to go through the rigors of buying and selling land, i prefer investing in stocks, bonds, treasury bills and Money Market Funds.
InvestmentRe: Please I Need Help With My 7million Naira by PAQ(m): 3:34pm On Jun 03
The Mini Bus comes with risks, and uncertainties, especially if someone else drives it for you. If you want to go into the Transport business, that 7 million will get you a clean 2005 Corolla or 2010 Yaris, the Yaris will be better for fuel economy. Use it for Bolt/Uber yourself, depending on your location, you can also enroll in Airport services.

Depending on your location, you have enough capital to start POS business. You can make from 3k - 20k a day depending on how busy your location is. That profit can be reinvested into the Capital market or Money Market for your 2yr target.

Alternatively, you can buy MTN, Zenith or the upcoming Dangote Refinery shares on listing. In 2 yrs time you will get good dividends and when you want to liquidate those shares you may double if not triple your capital.
PoliticsRe: The Reactions To The Oyo Kidnapping Scared Me More Than The Kidnapping by PAQ(m): 9:11am On Jun 03
The constant stream of negative events in Nigeria has left many people desensitized, making it seem as though we no longer empathize with or sympathize with the suffering of others.

The pattern is similar to how corruption became normalized. It started with the theft of a few million naira, isolated acts of tribalism, and instances of nepotism. As these incidents became more frequent and largely went unchallenged, they evolved into a pervasive culture where the misappropriation of billions of naira is now reported with alarming regularity.

The same can be said of violence and loss of life. It began with the killing of one person in a village, then two people in an intercommunal conflict, followed by dozens in separate incidents. Over time, the scale of these tragedies escalated to the point where reports of hundreds of people being killed can dominate the news cycle one day and be forgotten the next. What once would have provoked national outrage now often receives only fleeting attention.

This gradual normalization of corruption, violence, and human suffering has slowly desensitized many Nigerians. It is not that people no longer care; rather, years of constant exposure to distressing events have dulled the emotional response that such events would ordinarily evoke. When the abnormal becomes routine, society risks accepting as ordinary what should never be tolerated.

Car TalkRe: I Never Knew Owning A Car In Nigeria Was This Expensive Until I Calculated Every by PAQ(m): 11:41am On May 06
1. Owning a car saves cost if you have a family, the larger the more you save.
2. It saves alot of time taken from going to the park or waiting for a Bolt.
3. You are paying for the comfort and privacy of being in your space.
4. Safety, is in your control. How you drive and avoiding one-chance.
5. You can decide to go anywhere and by anytime. Imagine you have an emergency by 3am, nd you need to get to a hospital.

Owning a car is like riding first class, you are paying for the comfort, control and convenience it gives.

InvestmentRe: Would You Rather Travel To UK With 30 Million Or Invest In Nigeira? by PAQ(m): 8:05am On May 06
First, this isn’t a fair comparison. Asking someone to choose between traveling to the UK with ₦30 million to spend and staying in Nigeria with the same ₦30 million is skewed, many people, even the wealthy, would naturally pick the UK option.

However, if that ₦30 million also has to cover travel costs (flights, visa, relocation expenses), then staying in Nigeria to invest becomes the more practical choice. In Nigeria, ₦30 million can be invested in treasury bills, government bonds, or mutual funds with returns of about 15%–19%, yielding roughly ₦4.5 million to ₦5.7 million annually.

By contrast, once you convert the money to pounds and settle in the UK, a significant portion will quickly go into accommodation, utilities, and general living expenses within the first year, leaving little or nothing to invest.

That said, the UK offers advantages that go beyond money. There is greater peace of mind, access to quality education for children, and a higher level of safety overall. While no place is completely free of crime, the risks such as kidnapping are significantly lower compared to Nigeria.
Car TalkRe: MDX, QX60 Use In Nigeria by PAQ(m): 11:50am On May 05
The MDX is a better option. Its more popular here than the QX60. This means parts are more available, and Acura is a more reliable brand to Infinity.

How will this war end when these terrorists are heavily funded? If they gather all that they make in a month, compared to their size, they become formidable. They can afford to arm each fighter to the teeth. While our political & military leaders are busy amassing wealth to buy Land Cruisers and mansions, these guys are buying guns, bullets, rpg, drones & motorcycles.

You say the camera no make sense?
At todays standards, no. You will get cheaper phones like Techno, Infinix with better cameras. But if you know how to use GCam, you can squeeze out the best from it, but still cant compete with todays mid range phone cameras.
PhonesRe: Oneplus Thread by PAQ(op): 10:04am On Apr 06
UPDATE: 5 years later, my OnePlus 8 is still pushing strong, but not without scars. Apart from the cracked back glass, the front is still intact with minimal scratches. I was never able to find a proper screen guard,

Battery life holds up to the end of the day, i always charge to 80%, this has helped prolong battery health.

Apart from the abysmal camera, it still has a solid screen, good enough SOC, very solid build quality and still alot better looking that most phones today.

Out of all the phones i have used, this is in my top 5. Its now relegated as my secondary phone since i got an Xperia IV around December 2024.

Its a war! Its natural for casualties and losses on both ends. The outcome will be determined by who has lost more and the capacity to go on fighting. So i really don't get these types of posts. Was America not supposed to have losses?
FamilyRe: Those Who Are Married. Tell Those Who Are Not Yet Married Something by PAQ(m): 2:23pm On Apr 02
Marriage is a self imposed prison. Ur wife is your prison warder, wedding rings ae the shackles binding you to the prison, your home becomes your cell. The days you want to escape to go hang out with the guys becomes prison break, you become Micheal Scofield cos you are gonna be breaking out of prison alot often... Then when you get back you receive your punishment.... Your offence for all this, falling in LOVE angry

Hardened criminals of LOVE stay in longer, some, for life, the casual ones get to bail out quicker but not without a large fine.

I am a prisoner of LOVE!
