Aishbamba If you were paid today and the site started operating on the 25th, you need to explain how you got paid 8 days after (that is assuming you invested the first minute they went online). Meanwhile the investment is supposed to be for a 20day period, so nobody should be receiving any payment before the the 13th of February. 1 Like |

Edo girl Much as I agree with you that in an ideal world, court judgements are sacrosanct and should never be questioned, but we live in the real world and in Nigeria for that matter. In in world court trials, the defendants and even lawyers come out to openly criticize judgments. But the nigerian case is even more pathetic, where judges are so corrupt and political that they are openly accused of selling judgments by other senior lawyers and judges. So a judgement that defies all sense of reasonings like this one deserves emotional outburst by keyamo. Besides it was the defense lawyers that is misinforming the general public that Bankole has been acquited of all charges and so innocent, while that is far from the truth. |

9ja_i_hail Are you saying the Christian South East does not have security challenges of its own. I can recall that two years ago most Igbos were afraid to go home for fear of being kidnapped. It took the IG and the heads of the security organizations to relocate to the East to bring the situation under control. |

Nigeria's brand of Christianity is unique, I term it Materialistic Christianity, you worth is measured by your material acquisitions and how much sowing and offerings you can give your church. It cares nothing about the oppressions and corruptions of the society by its governing elite. So the country begins to deteriorate morally, socially and economically. It is not that the Muslims religion in the north is immune to this Materialism, it is just that you have a small band of radical Muslims who ride on the disgust of the moral rot of their spiritual and political leaders by the general population to further their political and fundamentalist agenda. You will find out that most radical Islamic organizations like those in north Africa and even middle east are popular because they purport to be fighting corruption and oppression. Most times these organizations provide basic food, shelter and Medicare for their people, while the those in government live expensive lifestyles. This is why terrorist Islamic organizations are able to blend in their societies. To me the Nigerian brand of Christianity is a recipe for oppression by the leaders and thus a recipe for social disorder. |

I do not understand these Biafrans, a role call of those at the meeting is the whole political leadership of Ndigbo. And some Biafrans label all of them traitors. Please tell me, when and if biafra becomes a reality? Where will you pick your leaders from? Nigeria? Or other foreign country? Because I am yet to see any Ndigbo leader who is not labeled traitor by fundamentalist Biafrans. |

OLodostein, Its true a lot of fundamentalist Biafrans like to play the victim card to propagate their agenda. Lots of us have been saying from the very beginning that Boko Haram is a Nigerian problem and not an exclusively Ibo problem but you guys refused to listen until your leaders begin educating otherwise. Ibo life worth more that any other life? That is what I call egosism for want of a better word. But if it gives you a sense of importance, them you can carry on with your fallacy. Is ibo life very precious only when killed by another tribe and then dirt cheap when killed in an armed robbery attack, otokotoed or Okijad in a money making ritual or even kidnapped for ransom by another fellow Igbo? |
![]() |
The attitudes of some ibo people is very similar to Boko haram, attack anybody that disagrees with your fundamentalist agenda even against common sense. You have fundamentalist ibos calling moderate ibos all sorts of names. It is only a matter of time before they start violent attacks on others whole holds different succession beliefs and other moderate ibos. |

My respect for rochas just skyrocketed. Instead of listening to rumours and postings on twitter, Facebook, nairaland and other online forums, he left the comfort of his TV, PC or mobile phone and went to see things for himself. And we still have internet warriors criticizing him. Why don't other "true ibo" governors go to investigate also so as to contradict Rochas. Nobody has said ibos were not killed in the north, what we are saying is that ibos were not specifically target by boko haram. Their targets include all southerners, Christians, moderate Muslims, security agencies and now NLC. Why would Boko Haram specifically target ibos? Instead of coming together to try and defeat this common enemy, some hate mongers see an opportunity to promote their succession agenda. The irony is that I am sure more northerners have died in this conflict than ibos. |

Please can some provide us with an appraisal of the level of usage of this month mobile banking. I will like to know the experience of those who have used it. Lastly, I would like to hear the experience of someone who is in the business of providing mobile money services as an agent or aggregator. Because all we have had so far are opinions and projections on mobile banking, I need some practical experience. |

I thought you should be intelligent enough to understand what I am saying. Asaba is in a Niger Delta state, but asaba itself is not on the Niger Delta. If Anioma state is created, it would not be a Niger Delta state, because the river Niger does not form delta in Anioma land. |
![]() |
One Naira, you claim to be a Niger Deltan from Asaba, the only problem is that Asaba is not on the Niger Delta. I know Babangida lumped us in the same state but even your people has been championing the creation of Anioma state to seperate you from the core Niger Delta. Furthermore, because Anioma is part of Biafra would not mean the whole of the present Delta would go with you to Biafra. |

AK47Mann, one naira and co, I leave you to your ignorance. I am a full blood niger deltan from warri, if you have rabid hatred for the Yorubas, well that is your problem. As I said please have your Biafra but stay off other people's land. Thank you. |

What concern me about Ibo affairs? We (other Niger tribes) abhor domination by bigger tribes and would not want to swap domination from Nigeria to Domination by Biafra. It would pay us even more if Nigeria splits and we are allowed to control out resources. I keep telling you that you cannot achieve anything with this your arrogant posture. If you people feel you can achieve you Biafra alone without any alliance whatsoever, then other tribes will just "siddon look". If you succeed then the other tribes would have to join together to repel biafran aggression. |

Ezeagu and Bashr8, I do not understand you guys, if you are fighting for a Biafra, that is your cup of coffee. Watin concern other SS tribes? Why are you always so worked up anytime someone brings you back to reality. You are even sabotaging your Biafra before you even start. you want to force people who has no relationship with the igbo ; culturally, liguistically or politically to join your biafra. You said Biafra would not be land locked, so whose land are you going to annex to get access to the sea? Because I do not know any Igbo speaking riverine community. Take it from me, the Ijaws, the Urhobos, the itsekiris, the ibibios, the calabaris, the ilajes, the binis, etc would not be part of your biafra. |
![]() |
I avoid exchanging words with bigots who only know how to throw insults instead of engaging in intelligent debates. Eya e dey pain you say we no go conceed one inch of land to biafra. If you like go and jump into the Atlantic or should I say the river niger at Onitsha bridge. As your brother said Biafra would be a land locked country, learn to accept it. |
![]() |
How do what you wrote above relate to my post. I have seen maps of biafra include Ijaw land, itsekiri land and other non ibo speaking tribes without even asking for their consent. |
![]() |
thanks knowall, at least you accept that Biafra would be landlocked. A lot of your brothers include the whole of the SS including all the oil wells inside their own idea of Biafra. |

Nchara, there is more to war than the actual fight on the battle field. The most important aspect of war is diplomacy and the Hausa - Fulanis are the masters of building alliances. They can make a Saraki or an Awoniyi fight for their interest against their ethnic group. When the war starts they would know how to reel in the birom, tiv, jukun, and other minority tribes in the North. I am sure they would even have some allies among the Igbos because when I was up north I knew a lot of Igbo boys who had become Abubakar Mohammed and pray facing east. They had been completely absorbed into the North. The main problem of the Igbos is their inability to build alliances, they are not ready to give in order to take. |

Ezeagu Haba how can you say that the afghan government had not fought any country within the last 20yrs. Who was running the government when September 11 took place? Was it not the Taliban. The taliban was the defacto government until they were overthrown by US forces and their allies. It was after the overthrow that the Taliban went under ground and stated waging a guerrilla war against the US and today they have grown in strength again that they are threatening the present government. Please brush up your history. |
![]() |
And sorry that I forgot to add the Ethiopians, who had never lost a war to anybody stretching back 5000 yrs. |
![]() |
Ezeagu History has lots of influence on wars. Though the weapons had become more sophisticated, the principles is still the same. A country with a long history and experience of war is more likely to defeat a country with little experience but with more men and more sophisticated weaponry. Ever wonder why some people had never lost a war, like the British (who only lost to the US during the independence war), the US (who had never lost a war), the afghans (the only people to have fought two super powers) and remain standing and the Vietnamese. |

What makes you think a northern Nigeria would not have the support of most of those countries you quoted above? Are you telling me biafra's diplomacy has improved from pre 1970 levels where they got support from only 4 nations? Add to that Iran which also has subtle support from Russia. Please give evidence to show that the north fears the Igbos, to me the only other tribe or ethnic group that the Hausa fulani respects is the Yorubas since they had been defeated by them before, and the Yorubas knows high wire diplomacy. As I said the best way to defeat Boko Haram is for the SW and SS and Moderate Northern Muslims to pull resources together and eliminate their threat using Nigerias resources. |

Shud44 It can never be like north and south Korea. North and south Korea are split along ideological lines; communism vs capitalism and not along religious and ethnic lines as with the case with Nigeria. Religious and ethnic conflicts are usually more bloody and protracted than ideological wars because there is no room for compromise. The mines and fences along the border btw south and north Korea is to stop people running from the north to the south and not for war defences. It is common knowledge that mines are useless as a weapon of war, they only increase civilian casualties. |
![]() |
Omanzo02 The north has a history of wars. It was with the instrument of war that the Fulanis were able to subjugate the Hausas and then went on to subjugate the whole of northen Nigeria. They were only halted by the Yorubas at Ilorin. So the yorubas have some experience in dealing with aggression by Muslim fundamentalists. The closest the Igbos got to a major war was the civil war which they lost. What makes you think they are in a better position to take on Muslim fanatics today without the alliance of other sections of the country. No country defeats radical Islam easily, ask Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Pakistan, etc. They have very long staying power and can pursue their agenda for up to 50yrs. The best strategy is not to allow them have a foot hold in your territory or region. |

I am surprised that a lot of people, especially South Easterners are advocating for a break up of Nigeria at this point in time because of the Boko Haram insurgency. That would be playing into the hands of the insurgents. If the country splits up, Boko Haram would easily beat the moderate muslins into submission and high jack power in Northern Nigeria. Remember northern Nigeria would stretch to Kwara in the west and Benue to the east. Nsuka is just 20mins from benue. So it would be easy for the fundamentalists to extend their Jihad to the east and the west and east. Do the Igbos think they would be safer with a fundamentalist Muslim nation as a neighbour? They should ask Pakistan having Taliban as Neighbour. In fact a fundamentalist Northern Nigeria would destabilize the whole sub region. The strategy of containing Bako Haram is to fight them under a powerful unified Nigeria and make sure the radical brand of Islam does not overwhelm the moderate Muslims. I can tell you that the fundamental muslins have lots of backing ; financially, logistically and training wise from Iran, who also created Hizbollah to be a government of itself in Lebanon. Iran is preparing for their eventual war with Israel and US and they would need the support of a fundamentalist Nigeria. If we want to break Nigeria, we should do it under controlled situation and not be pushed into knee jerk reaction and starting and unplanned conflict we have no control over the the eventual outcome. |

I am highly disappointed by the comments of supporters of GEJ on this issue. Although I have never been a fan of Bakare or his save Nigeria group, shelving the planned protest was the most sensible thing to do. Kanu has become a war zone for that matter and every patriotic Nigeria must rally around GEJ to fight a common enemy. We can continue with out bickerings after the common enemy had been contained. For God sake we do not even know who was killed in kano, the SS and SE people in this forum should be more concerned about the death of their people in Kano than whether SNG protests or not. |
![]() |
How can we not blame GEJ? Who are we to blame? The commissioner of police? GEJ is designated “the commander in chief" of the armed forces, he has the power to hire and fire. People have been calling for the sack of the IGP and other security chiefs over the Boko Haram fiasco, but he refused to listen, now these people are showing their incompetencies and some are saying don't blame GEJ. |
