BentizilL: A neutral Soviet and a strong Japan ally would've made Hitler unstoppable, Hitler greatest mistake was invading Soviet Union... England would've become a German colony, even in grave Hitler will forever regret invading Soviet. The reason the Japanese attacked the US is because they never believed the Soviets could defeat Germany. They miscalculated. The japs knew the US was weak. Germany defeat by the Russians gave the Americans ample time to produce and deploy nuclear weapons against the japs. The bottom line is, the US is extremely weak (they're only powerful in hollywood movies and in the minds of people with no exposure), they were on the verge of defeat until the deployment of nuclear weapons. |

Ibime: These are historic records my friend. The skies of Japan belonged to USA, they had already reduced all Japanese cities to rubble. They had air and every other superiority, that's why their plane could fly to Japan at will and drop nuclear bomb. Japanese plane never made it to US mainland. In that case, nuclear weapons would not have been necessary. The US suffered heavy and massive casualties and would have continued to suffer casualties if nuclear weapons had not been deployed. The US morale was affected, there were desertions and indiscipline. Nuclear weapons turned the tide. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Gov. by ParasiteWest: 6:47pm On Oct 10, 2022 |
Ibime: Japan was pummelled to smithereens but their kamikaze suicidal spirit and Japanese honour did not allow them to surrender. It's only when they saw nuclear weapon they finally agreed
All Japanese cities were bombed to smithereens and they still didn't gree. No single bomb was dropped on the US mainland If that was true, the US would have used conventional weapons to defeat the small island nation of Japan instead of nuclear weapons. The US suffered heavy losses and they cowered. They remain the only country to have used nuclear weapons but they want to lecture others. |

Ibime: You say the West declined after WWII, I asked you what happened to the Soviet Union And I just told you. They have the highest millitary spending in the world with no corresponding tangible result. They depend on the talents on technology from other countries. Russia and China has had moderate spendings but advanced much more than the big for nothing USA. The USA is similar to Nigeria, lots of potential but underperformed due to poor politics. |

Ibime: No they didn't
USA single handedly handled Japan in the Pacific and Germany on the Western front while supplying Russia to withstand Germany
While Hitler invaded Russia at the drop of a hat, he was always begging USA not to get involved The USA was pummeled in Japan and was unable to defeat Japan without nuclear weapons. |

gambojimeta: It's common knowledge that England was not defeated neither did it collapse.
One can support Russia or USSR but that does not mean one should start twisting facts.
Battle of Britain was Infact a British victory. That was the closest the Germans ever got to defeating Britain. One can support the West or Nazis but that does not mean one should start twisting facts. It's common knowledge that the British had been defeated, were bloodied, were a spent force, had collapsed until they were reinvigorated by the Russians. They had signed agreements to be a colony of Germany but it was disregarded due to the Russian onslaught against the Germans which turned the tide of war. France was already a colony of Germany. |

gambojimeta: Basic history. As at the time of the start of the war, France had one of the largest (if not the largest) army in Europe and they also thought the maginot line would resist the Blitzkrieg. Stalin also signed a non aggressive pact with Hitler.
Even with the post of Stalin and the former premier who was a lt. general, you guys still argue The US sponsored/installed 'democratic' govt in Afghanistan was defeated by the Taliban. Where was the lend lease act? |

gambojimeta: While I acknowledge the fact that Germans fighting on many fronts helped with the advance of the allied troops.. However, Britain did not collapse, and if Stalin could make the statement I posted above. Who am I to argue against the great Stalin. The Russians held their ground, other countries that were yet to be invaded by Nazi Germany provided weapons to Russia. Russia eventually returned those weapons as Russia stockpile and domestic production was enough to defeat Germany but it was important to accept them at that time as the future was unpredictable. Russia is not an arrogant nation. Even if na Iran dey lease equipment give Russia. The most important is, Russians are smart, effective and efficient. They've gotten better and better while the West continues to decline. |

gambojimeta: If the west thought the Germans were invisible, there would not have been a D-day landing to take back mainland Europe.
Yes, the lend lease act helped a lot. Stalin and Khrushchev (Russian Lt. General and Later premier of the USSR) both agreed that without the lend-lease act, the USSR would have lost the war against Germany. Russia was not dependent on the US. The West (including the US) depended on Russia. France fell, Britain collapsed, every other European country that German touched collapsed. Only Russia held it's ground and prevailed. |
