Slow down boy & stop ranting like an angry little spoiled brat who can hardly take a wee without slashing it all over the place.

Omen thank you. This Donchris999 is the most uniformed and shallowest mind in Nigeria. Keyamo is from Delta, a governorship aspirant for that matter. How much of Nigeria's constitution does this donchriss know. The president appoints and fires but he must get the senates approval to appoint. Isn't this simple enough. If Obasanjo and Yar adua has gone the wrong route, must our dear Dr. Jonathan toe the wrong part too. The right thing should be done. Let the president send their name to the senate and senate will confirm them as a matter of urgent national interest. They don't even need to stop their work for one day. Then our dear president would have set a good precedent by upholding the tenet of the constitution which he swore to obey.

pistol: This is nonsense.
That justice bello should be investigated for alleged links with boko harem.
A case instituted since 2008,
The bello man decided to give judgement in 2013 when the onslaught against boko haram is at a climax with the sole aim to cause confusion and anarchy in the system.
According to Gej "boko haram is in my government"

Keep quiet my friend.
Why do you travailize a serious national and constitutional issue like this. Is this how you intend to rule Nigeria when you become a policy maker or implementor. Commend this judge for saying the right thing, knowing fully well that minds like yours wil add mischievous meaning to it. The president should do the right thing. This also exposes the scarcity of informed advise and opinion in the executive arm of government in nigeria, including the states. This is an issue in content and not in context as you are trying to put it. You want us to leave the main issue on the alter of boko haram who did not appoint the service chiefs. One also wonder why it took Festus Keyamo to do this while the senate whose constitutional right and responsibility has been unsurped is quite.

You believe that the governor's forum hold sway over the Gov. of edo state? what is governor's forum by the way? is it constitutional? that is how you guys smuggle in farce offices to siphon money.
the other time was office of the first lady, two years ago was PDP's internal Zoning formula to apply to all Nigerians? Gosh!! you guys are unbelievable.
Read my fingers; the governors forum has no legal authority over an elected Governor, Amaechi and his other m0r0nic cohorts can hang themselves for all Osho baba cares.

By the way, did the Governor's forum endorse all the Potholes on Amaechi's woji road?

Ooh I love you. I think the mentality of a lot of young Nigerians has been so bastardized by poverty and mediocrity that they don't know the line between, law, morality, dignity, good conscience, basic rights, responsibility and honour.

Elueme: My dear I am sorry for honoring you with a reply so late, it is because I have not been on nairaland since yesterday. Let me begin by humbly telling you that you are ignorant about the tour, the intent and composition. It is wrong and false to tag the NGGT a federal govt tourist project. For your information, this tour was approved by the National Econ,ic council and was further amended and approved by the Nigerian governor's forum, a position which the chairman of the forum re-affirmed when the team was in Rivers State. We are in a system of a participatory democracy. Irrespective of our political affiliation, we must be patroitic and play according to the rules. Even if Oshiomohle had expressed a dissenting voice to the tour but the fact that his argument was defeated and the tour was unanimously endorsed is why he should oblige. You don't go against emotion that has been won by the majority and superior argument as a parliamentarian just because you were against it , a position which Oshiomohle of all people should have known. Let me bring to your fore that Oshiomohle's argument of fed govt total sponsorship is fallacious and most dishonorable. The agreement between the governor's forum and the pioneers of the tour was a shared responsibility as requested by the team and if Edo State diesn't have the resources to accommodate and feed 120 delegates compriising of local and foreign media outfits, NGOs and civil society groups, then he should have approached and related to the minister politely instead of thes publicity stunts tended to steal the show, a trend he is famed for. But if I may ask, why has Edo state gone bankrupt because I know since after the governorship election, no new projects has been assigned and some others previously approved have been stalled. Could it be that the state treasury was used in executing the governor's re-election campaign?

What is governors forum, show me where it is in Nigerian constitution and tell me, of what legal and constitutional consequence is the pronouncement of the governors forum. The chief executive of a state by law is far above any governors forum. If you also don't know, this forum is only a peer review forum, supposedly, and it's declaration or proclamation is only advisory. If they cannot review themselves objectively as being done internationally, as it is in their case, then it's members will question the moral objective of its decisions, as I'm this case. You want to tell me that a 120 member team is not senseless. Are you also telling me that you do not know that visitors like this goes back with brown envelopes. Ask yourself my dear friend, why hasn't the minister and his team, come out to tell one governor thus far, that he is below board in performance. Are you saying there are no governors in this category. What is their parameters for determining what is a good performance or a bad performance. Assessments of this nature anywhere in the world, where sensible and serious minded people lives, are done scientifically, not by oration or dancing azonto and etigi up and down. They have run out of ideas on how to go about their work and how to steal money. No budget yet, so they want to squeeze the state governments.

Elueme: Oshomohle should stop playing a hero and act appropriately. The national good governance tour I learnt was a product of a consensus between the federal executive council and the governor's forum and I am surprised that my Oshomohle is now dancing a different tune even when his argument against the said tour didn't sail through at the forum. Democracy is a game of both number and superior argument and he( Oshomohle) was short of these two virtues when the issue was discussed before the tour was formally endorsed.
The agreement was a partnership between the federal and state. The state provides accommodation and feeding for the visiting team which comprises Nigerian union of journalists, civil society Organisations as well as government officials.
Despite the monetary involvement, I think the concept behind this tour is commendable. This is what our media houses ought to live up to by taking their time to do a thorough investigative journalism to ascertain what government at all levels are doing in the areas of infrastructural development. The citizens fora which I have watched so far had afforded many opportunity to air tbeir views and also to make contribution by way of informing the govt or suggestion on pertinent issues. Also, this tour will make many state governors to seat up, if regularized.
My humble advise is for the governor to play along if he had nothing to hide.. His position is most uncalled for and amount to being a betrayal. He is unnecessarily putting the state in the news for the wrong reasons but most unfortunately some may not see it this way that Oshomohle, though a good and a pragmatic leader, is an opportunist.

My dear friend. Why do we always miss issues here in Nigeria. Aren't these tourists federal government sponsored? Why must state governors provide further sponsorship for a programme that is totally federal in initiation and execution. Then ask yourself what do 120 people want to go to states to see or report. Ask yourself what will be the outcome of this exercise in policy formulation and implementation. The best that they need from any governor is a list of his projects and location , maybe a guide too and security, which they do not require the governor to provide anyway, because police is a federal controlled organization. A governor needs no tour to sit up, his re-election or need for control is enough motivation for performance. It is only when the visit is consequential that a governor will sit up. In this case, it is of no consequence. What gave you the impression that the information ministry did not also provide fund for this jamboree. Governance and followership in this country are too sentimental and bereft of ideas as well as direction. Tell me one single statement that has been made in any of this sessions that is a product of a deep sense of commitment to the collective good of all. Don't you know that the minister is only interested in keeping his job by appearing to be proactive and creative? I support the governor a million times over. He know his worth and what he has done. He is also aware, being a right and objective thinker and not an emotional wreck, that finds himself in an office of great opportunity and responsibility, that Maku's opinion, declaration, affirmation, recommendation, proclamation and view, cannot buy a ball of bean cake in the market behind his own house. So of what consequence is it elsewhere? If you don't know you cannot attain without opportunity, so we are all opportunist and Oshomohle has demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that he is a man that can convert opportunity to reality. That is a critical requirement of a true man and success. Even judges give dissenting judgement in a judgement. The view of the majority carries the day, but it not binding on other judges with a contrary view. If the governors forum wants it, it is not binding on all governors. How many governors know what they are doing anyway?

I hold the opinion that most people do not read nor get a hang of the issue before commenting on this forum. There is nothing absolutely wrong with this design and the rail tracks covered the whole of Lagos. I think most people still have their okada mentality, where they expect even a train to take them to their door step or they are still mistaking train coaches for cars, since they most likely haven't seen one before. For my over bloated ego V.I people, you will take the green line and change to the red line coaches at the terminus at marina for your final trip to your ldear and lovely warehouses called airports where you will board your life threatening flights in your ill maintained aircrafts. Tell me as planned as Abuja is, is there anything close to what this man is doing? This man is transforming one of the most densely populated and unplanned land mass in the world. This is the most difficult job for even the best urban town planner in the world, yet this is being done in a world class fashion and and as a model for even the developed world, give credit to what is right and to who ever deserves it. Tell me any government in Nigeria, including the federal government, that provides world class 21st century solution to a century old accumulated challenges like the Lagos state government. This guy solves problem the way it will be solved in newyork, moscow, Beijing, carlifornia or hong kong. This should be an educative and informative forum, where facts are discussed and not an avenue for emotional outburst or expression. Rest my case .

Family / Re: Golden Eagle Snatches Kid (Video) by Parddie: 8:03am On Dec 20, 2012
This bird flapped it's wings five times before dropping the boy. The weight of the boy was the saving grace and not the fathers scream or chase. The eagle is an extremely fast bird and could have been about 50 meters high after five flaps of it' wings.
Family / Re: Golden Eagle Snatches Kid (Video) by Parddie: 2:24pm On Dec 19, 2012
The child was too heavy for the eagle period. The eagle is a very swift bird and from the video you will see that the bird had all the time to gain height but was impeded by the child's weight.

A man that beats a woman will always beat again. Trump might be changing women like shirt. He obviously is a respecter of women, he hasn't been reported for pushing one yet. And who told you the women didn't have good an memorable times with him. Atleast none of them is complaining, not even after the divorce. The issue is that the lady Rihanna should expect more beating and life threatening spanking.
