The current CEO of Arsenal was an Accountant (Like Woodward) who studied Economics at Oxford his career, he was former Strategy Consultant for Delloitte which is similar to what Woodward did at PwC before joining Man Utd

Dayo, I have always argued here that we have spent as much as our rivals and have engaged the services of good managers over time but some others feel that our poor recruitment of players (overpaying and in some cases, signing players that are not good enough) points to the board and to be honest, they do have a point. One of the strong proponents of the logic that we need to overhaul the management team is the first to sound pessimistic here hence my post.

I just want us to try again with a different setup at the management level to see if it will improve our recruitment process...In recruitment, the focus is on incoming and outgoing.

As long as he isn't part of the procurement committee (Vendor verification committee/bid opening/technical evaluation committee/financial evaluation committee/contract award committee) then he doesn't have a case to answer...If it was his ministry, all he would need to produce is the document where he acknowledged that his being a member of the Committee would conflict with his interest. Once he makes it known that he has an interest in the company, he will be excused from being part of the process...This is assuming the contract was from his ministry...

One can lay claim to him using his position to influence things but there's no proof whatsoever however, it is best to avoid such scenarios as a public servant.

I've always insisted here that a lot of monies made by state governments do not reflect in IGRs. Just local-search "DissTroy IGR state government".

Then there's the very lucrative Cross River - Akwa Ibom stretch of the ocean. The Cameroon - Calabar - Oron - Ibeno belt. Shark fishing and fishing trawlers are bought with government monies but never reflected in the IGR. Monies made from the blue economy are never reflected in financial statements.

It's the reason I pay more attention to what is happening in my state. Governors will be quick to point to the sharing formula at the national level where the FG takes the greater percentage but they never talk about the revenue they generate in their states which is not reflected in the financial records of the state. Most States generate 3 times the IGR they report the rest is stolen.

The timber is from Boki LGA of Cross River...Successive state governments come in and get their people to run the illegal logging business...

Ayade enriched his immediate family, friends and himself with illegal logging and now, Otu is doing the same...They are logging but not planting new trees...So much money is made but does not go to the coffers of the state.

I did not want to add the bolded but it is the fact. They are released almost immediately. He stopped working with the police because most times, the miners somehow get wind of their planned sting operation and evacuate before they get there...

I do not get why the solid minerals we have are left to the hands of illegal miners when the government should be raking in billions of dollars from the sale of these minerals. I reckon the money we get from crude oil exploration is not comparable to what we'd get from the vast mineral resources around the country.

Maybe the politicians have decided that the oil money is for the country but the money from solid minerals is for their pockets alone because I don't understand why the government will sit and watch so-called illegal miners doing their thing.
