the other spare midfielder will be Pogba or Donny and Mata on the bench to boost attacking prowess in case United are behind. there's no much use having a DM on the bench in this case. remember they only travelled with 3 strikers.

You have a point...If Matic plays, we have to sit very deep and hit them on the counter because I can't stomach the sight of Matic chasing their midfielders...

The defense is not the problem, same thing people said about Smalling, now he is enjoying himself big time at AS ROMA. OGS is not tactically sound, man utds passing lanes and channels are too predictable, Rashford and Mata/ Greenwood should be flooding the box so as to allow the the fullbacks take up the wing positions.
But what we have at United is Rashford/Martial/Mata are too far apart, the wingers don't flood the box thereby leaving the fullbacks in no man's land.
That is why smaller teams break down United easier than big teams

Please introduce this forum to Pogba and Martial...
