All those coaches have done it. When your Game plan is working perfectly no coach likes to disrupt it by making changes. Leave this agenda.
Agenda? You are funny...

Fred was on a yellow and everyone know bar Ole and you knows that Fred is reckless and has the highest tendency of coping of yellow in our starting team but no, theg game plan was working perfectly...

Whatever happened to making a sub and tweaking the game plan...Pogba, VDB and Matic were on the bench FFS!

Those of us that are critical of Martial are seen as haters, we pamper useless players in this club. Martial has spent 5 years now in united he is now 24 almosy 25. Yet he walks around the pitch every match. People always lump him with Rashford, But come on, martial started before Rashford and Rashford came out from the academy, check their performance over the year, Martial has been Fuc.k.ing overated and pampered, Rashford is leagues ahead of Martial in terms of professionalsm . Players like him and Pogba are lazy and too indulgent.
Cavani was hassling the PSG centerbacks whenever they tried to build from the back but Martial who is younger feels too big to do the job he is paid to do...A big shame...

Why Ole keeps playing him is beyond me, that guy should be benched...I hate it when I see talented players not pushing themselves to get better...He will most likely find himself playing for Lyon or Marseille in the near future if he doesn't improve...

Rashford square for Martial was not exactly perfect. He could have done better with his pass.
Martial had enough time to adjust his body to bury that chance...He takes the blame.

Shey na only Martial dey the attack? The coach messed up. Stop blaming the player. Wetyn do Greenwood? Wetyn don VDB?
Leave that dude...He is sounding like it's not Ole that picked Martial and left Fred on even when he should have been substituted...

Still he was having a good game and the Midfield was doing a great job.

I'm 100% sure that Ferguson,Klopp, Pep and Mourinho on numerous occasions have left booked players on for the second half. There's always a risk. Sometimes it's worth it. Seeing as we dominated their midfield it was the right call.
Not when they have options on the bench...

I said he is reckless...You don't have to argue everytime...Fred is always one tackle away from a yellow and when you are up against PSG who have very fast and tricky players, you have to be careful...

Did Ferguson always  take off players on a yellow at half time?

Most coaches leave players on in that kind of situation especially when the player is having a good game.
Fred is a reckless player that's why he had to be taken off...

Ole is probably thinking that he needs Martial back to his best and the only way to do that is to continuously play him until he scores
Playing Martial is at the detriment of the team. The guy is under pressure and with every miss, it's getting to him...

He should come in from the bench when we are leading or the opponent is tired that way, he can find his form again...

Fred has started and finished almost every match in the last 2 months or so. I wonder if Ole is thinking he can't play a match without him
That guy will ask that the board sign players only to continue with the old guard...The only reason why Cavani is playing is that Greenwood is off form (I didn't mention Martial because it's like Ole has signed a pact that he must play)...

Ole is really clueless...

Even in yesterday game, Fred and Tom worked their socks off to match PSG midfield and at the same time track Mbappe and Neymar. They also did enough to start a couple of counters with some long balls behind the PSG defense which we couldn't make good use of. But all it takes is one mistake to scatter everything which wouldn't have mattered if some other person did their job at the other end of the pitch.
That Person is Martial who has been our worst player this season yet he keeps getting game time...He doesn't pick himself you know. Why Ole started Martial, I'll never know, most annoying is why he didn't take him off as well as Fred whilst the game hung in the balance...

They said we shouldn't question the loss to isakaba because Ole beat almighty Nagelsmann
Lol They were carried away with banter...For them, Ole beating Nagelsmann was enough just so they could come here and throw bants even when some of us knew the danger of losing to Istanbul Basaksehir...

I just hope we beat Leipzig in Germany but to be sincere, I am not confident at all...If we fail, I won't be any bit surprise to see those who are now okay with mediocrity to point to the victory against PSG and Leipzig as a pointer that we are doing well...Ole has managed to hoodwink many into believing in him when it's obvious he will only leave them disappointed...

I really want to rant because I am upset...We has VDB, Pogba and Matic on the bench yet Ole opted against taking Gred off even when he was lucky to escape a second yellow after that tackle on Paredes...Ole is not good enough, never was and looks like he will never be...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m):
Martial plays rubbish yet Ole keeps starting him...I mentioned here that Ole doesn't allow for fair competition for places...You extended Ighalo's stay yet you wouldn't give him minutes, we even have Greenwood but no, Martial must start...

The Fred red card is even more annoying...The whole world knew we needed to take Fred off except Ole...Sack the fraud already...

With a good coach, Martial will be glued to the bench with odd appearances in the Caraboa cup...

I don't even trust this team to get the desired result in Germany this is why I was complaining after that loss to Basaksehir...

He has not been pulling up trees with his tactical nous that much is sure.

Ole is not a world class manager (at the moment) but he still has room for improvement that much is sure.

Summary is he's not been spectacular but he's not been a disaster either.
For a coach of a club like ours, he needs to be spectacular...Of course, they're off days but they need to be few and far between...

That fastest to 50 wins thing can be misleading.

Busby inherited a club in turmoil. Fergie inherited a club with some good players but half of them pretty much drunkards.

His record in terms of wins and points is not up to what i expect considering the players he has.

What is more worrying is the quality and style of football which seems to be more instinctive than actually tactically constructed.

If you play good football and have good players you are more likely to win games because what you are doing is reproducible.

If your football is not really good but your players are good OR if your football is good but your players are average you get inconsistency.

I expect us to compete for the title this season and even if we don’t win it at least come close.

I also expect a deep Champion’s League run to QF or SF stages.
I co-sign...With VVD out for months and their general defensive crisis coupled with City struggles, we have no reason not to be right up there. If Chelsea are giving it a shot, then I see no reason why shouldn't be optimistic...

Can you mention the squad of players Moyes inherited, that were freaking title winning the season before no matter how you look at it. And landed in 6th with a squad that was feared in the premier league.

This is just hilarious
Fergie held things together...I recall how most folks thought Fergie was selfish for not fixing our midfield for years (Sneijder saga)...

Vidic was aging as was Fergie. Our midfield was average forget what Fergie managed to achieve with that midfield...

I believe relegating a team or keeping a relegation-threatened team up is not an accurate litmus test for determining managerial competency.

Jurgen Klopp relegated Mainz so the consensus must be that he is a really shitty manager innit?

Using the Cardiff relegation as a stick to beat Ole with is a misnomer same as you wouldn't want Big Sam managing United just cause he kept Everton up.
Away from that, how has he fared at United?

So did the standard reduce with Mourinho??

If ole doesn't live up to what is expected he will be sacked just like Mourinho

Below is ole and Moyes full season at old Trafford

One is an experienced manager with everton

The other a Norwegian PE teacher

Give accolades to who it due
Did you not read where I explained the circumstances surrounding Moyes failures? Ed was new to the job and his naivety was glaring...Never has the club been more embarrassed in the transfer market...

Moyes came in when the pressure was high compared to now. People couldn't imagine that we were not winning the league or runners up hence the call for his head. Now, a 3rd place finish is celebrated...

My post about Sir Alex was in reference to my earlier post about us hiring a coach so far he has the CV. Ole won back to back leagues with Molde despite them never winning the trophy before, don't know how I can't compare both.
Celtic and Ranger were and remain the dominant force in Scotland so winning the league title with Aberdeen and not stopping, doing it in Europe outweighs whatever Ole did with Molde...

Had we signed another coach aside OGS I'm sure by now the argument will be about why we did.

If the coach has the CV why not? Sir Alex was hired from the Scottish League or whatever it's called. Ole wasn't outrightly hired btw, incase you forgot.

Winning the Norwegian league is actually important, especially since they've not won it for some time until then, winning it B2B is even more impressive, shows he doesn't have weak mentality over winning stuffs like one very good coach we know.

What do you mean Cardiff's position is irrelevant? Haha, this is funny grin grin

how often does that happen?
I bet you marked Aston Villa out for relegation last season...

Crystal Palace appointed Roy Hodgson and avoided the drop...

West Ham beat United at Old Trafford while Fergie was still here to escape relegation when it looked certain they'd go down...

West Ham at some point last season looked destined for the drop...

You can't point to their league position because their coach buckled up and they gave it a go hence their continued stay in the EPL...Ole failed with Cardiff.

In your first paragraph you mentioned Fergie and made reference to the Scottish league for being just as lowly rated...What Fergie achieved with Aberdeen was stuff of legend, he broke the old firm stranglehold on the league by winning the Scottish league with Aberdeen and not stopping, he did it in Europe beating the very best...Don't compare or contrast Fergie with Aberdeen and Ole with Molde...

Ole wasn't appointed as coach initially na

But caretaker

The victory been sweet that time na hence the permanent appointed if we had known

But don't miss the point
Ed once again showed his naivety by giving him a permanent job before the end of the season no thanks to Ferdinand, Neville and the likes, even us as fans... After our catastrophic decline that season, do you honestly think Ed would've given him the permanent job had he been a little patient? I think not...

Ever since that time, it's been a couple of wins and then disappointment sets in for the club...Where goes the consistency we want from the team?

Yeah
it was under him they won their first ever title

The main point na give credit where it is due
You will never know what ole will do with Southampton taking into consideration what he did at Cardiff after all there is moyes as a testament.
Moyes was faced with the responsibility of living up to the high standard Fergie set whilst working with a naive Ed at the time so, it's no wonder we failed on all fronts...

The pressure on Ole isn't quite the same as years of underperformance has somewhat lowered the expectation in and around Old Trafford...It's no wonder some of you still hold brief for him (mediocrity finally setting in)...

I repeat, what Ole did with Molde is inconsequential as far as Manchester United is concerned. His legend Status earned him the job. It could have been him or any other former legend of the club with any bit of coaching experience...

Interesting how you guys usually minus Molde grin grin I once asked this guy on Twitter Cardiff's position when Ole took over, do you know?
Will you back Ed if he appointed the coach of Midtylland to replace Ole?

Winning the Norwegian league is nothing when a club the size of Manchester United is involved especially after he relegated Cardiff...

Now, the position of Cardiff is irrelevant as they still had the chance to escape relegation...We have seen clubs who looked destined for relegation appoint a new manager and their fortune turned around...
