I strongly advice against this. It's not worth it. I'd advice one goes for either a direct Masters or a BSc top-up in the UK instead.

Some UK Universities do accept 3rd class and even HND for direct masters. I can help with that.

As a 3rd class holder, you have 2 options:

Option 1. Go for Uni's that consider 3rd class for direct masters (I know a about 8 of these uni's in the UK.

Option 2: Go for a Pre-masters (integrated master's)
This can either be 1 term (3 months) or 2 terms (6 months) depending on the institution, afterwards you can now progress for your master's degree.


For Australia:
You can go for a Masters qualifying program, then your Masters degree afterwards.


For HND holders:

You have 3 options -

Option 1. Apply to schools that accept HND for direct masters

Option 2: Go through the Pre-masters route
Option 3: Go for a degree top-up and graduate with BSc/ BA in just 1 year.

Imagine your mushroom company looking down on prospect talents.. I just got admission in Canada for my msc in Cyber security with my noun certificate. The admission committee were impressed during my interview waiting for my part scholarship.

It's really funny how a lot of Nigerians look down on their own. I work with SI-UK and these major universities(US, UK, CAN, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND and IRELAND) accept NOUN degrees. I know how many NOUN graduates I send abroad every year. We are our own enemies really.

A'Social Work' degree from Nigeria will not get you a job in that field abroad.

But it will give you an edge over others if you decide to apply to a University abroad for your postgraduate studies, especially UK and Canada.

I have a lot of applicants here for Social Work msc, a lot of them have been rejected(As expected) because they don't have an undergraduate cert in that field or at least any related field, neither do they have the work experience.

I’d say you are lucky for being transferred to Social Work.
In Nigeria, you can get almost any job no matter your field of Study, so with that you can get any job a Political Science cert holder can get, but outside the shores of Nigeria, you are KING.
Social Work is highly on demand and it will take a strong background to get an offer for that, and with your own back ground, the sky is your limit.
Take the course, you’ll be grad you did.

A cup of Rice/beans is sold below 200 naira here in Onitsha, call anybody and ask questions if you need to verify. Knorr maggi(2 in 1) which is my favorite, you get 3 for 50 naira in the market or 2 for 50 naira in the streets, so literally 6 knorr maggi cubes is sold for 50 naira.
