- The federal government recently declared that all musicians are banned from producing their music outside the country - FG’s ban sparked outrage from Peter Okoye the other half of the P-square group - Peter Okoye went ahead to insult the government on social media after the ban was made known Following the attack from Peter Okoye, Youth Renaissance, a group claiming to be part of the All Progressives Congress, has called for the arrest of P-square. It was reported that the other half of P-square, Peter Okoye, had expressed that he is ashamed of the country. He also noted that the government had been failing since 1960. While reacting to the comments made by Peter, the group urged security agencies to arrest him for making rude comments about the government. Collins Edwin, national secretary to the group, noted that the government’s decision to ban the production of music abroad was to provide jobs in the entertainment industry. Read statement below: “We read the scurrilous remarks credited to Mr Peter Okoye of the Psquare group against the Federal Government’s job-saving policy in the entertainment industry with great anger and vexation." “Least of all persons to make scathing remark against the government is the Psquare group which the local content policy of the Federal Government dusted-up from the valley of obscurity. “Where was Peter Okoye or Psquare brand in 1999 when foreign music dominated our airwaves? If not for the government policy which mandated all broadcast stations in Nigeria to pay attention to Nigerian music by playing 95 percent of Nigerian songs every day, would Peter Okoye or Psquare be known to anybody in Nigeria today?" “Or would they have competed with better American music which dominated our airwaves then? “After the government have used its policy to brush them up from nothing to something; instead of giving opportunity to other people, they are taking Nigerian jobs to foreign countries through the shooting of music videos abroad." “Now that government have intervened to raise great and better entertainers again, Peter Okoye has the gut to insult the entire Federal Government by calling our great leaders ‘Ndi Ala’ which means mad and stupid people. How dare you say that Psquare?" “We, therefore, urge the security agencies in the country to arrest Mr Peter Okoye for disrespecting our government and bringing it to a disrepute." “If you cannot produce in Nigeria and hire Nigerians, then leave the industry. We must export Nigerian culture to the outside world through our music and videos.” Meanwhile, Nigerian rapper Ruggedman has reacted to comments claiming that the federal government called for Okoye's arrest. He noted that the APC youth called for the arrest not the federal government. Peter Okoye also replied Ruggedman's post stating that the people in the group are probably above seventy

Nigerian hip-hop singer, David Adeleke, better known as "Davido", is a fresh scandal. This time, the popular singer allegedly issued a dud cheque to an auto dealer for the purpose of paying the sum of N7.4m as a balance for a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 he purchased. . . Documents exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters showed that the auto dealer, Mr. Anekwu Chika Valentine of Prestige Autonet Limited, has already contracted a Lagos-law firm to assist him to recover the debt. . . A letter of instruction addressed to the law firm of W.K Shittu and Co., stated that the law firm will take 10% of the sum owed by Davido if it is recovered. On February 10, Davido issued two Zenith Bank (account number 100424****) cheques of N10m and N1.4m respectively. . . However, the latter, which apparently was to pay a part of the N7.4m was not honored by Zenith Bank, where the auto dealer is also a customer. Giving a did cheque is a criminal offense punishable by a 2-year jail term

Husband Insists On Paying Extra Bride Price After Seeing His Wife In This Dress!! US-based Nigerian man insists on paying extra bride price after seeing wife in this gown (photo). His eyes almost popped out of their sockets on seeing his wife’s figure showcased in glamorous body-clinging gown. He definitely saw her in a way he’s never seen her before. The US Based Nigerian couple, Law and Anambra State-born Nkeiruka Mkparu, a medical doctor who is Resident Pediatrician at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, tied the knots last year. He posted one of their wedding photos weeks ago and wrote: “After I saw her in this dress, I called her father and insisted that I must pay more bride price!! I am blessed.”

I love reading people's comments. I just can't help myself. It's like an addiction. So in honour of those comments that I have read, I have decided to write my own comment. And it's all for you. I hope you enjoy reading my comment as much as I have enjoyed writing it. It's not an interesting comment, but I'm pretty certain you have read the comment up to this point, so you may as well just keep reading right down to the end. The end. |
