Politics › Re: Opinion: Nnamdi Kanu Is Not Helping Ibos - See Why by pauljumbo(m): 11:37am On Jul 01, 2017 |
Nigeria is very complex The only thing that will make any region relevant in Nigeria today is violent. The death of abiola makes a Yoruba man obasanjo becomes president. The Niger delta struggle makes Jonathan president Bono haram and chibok girl's makes buhari president So the igbos is left with biafra struggle to make an igbo man president. QuitNotice: Firsly, I hope this was posted in the right section; just couldn't fathom a more appropriate section. Now to the point. It is no longer news that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, like his predecessor, the late Chukwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, is presently fronting an agitation for Biafra. A sovereign state for the Ibos and other southern states, with the south - west excluded though.
The strategy employed by the Mazi, and the massive followership he's enjoying, especially from the south - east, I think, is worth looking at, at least before we talk about the implications. His strategy is obviously planting seeds of hatred and (or) bitterness towards anything "Nigeria" in his people, and demand their their support as he spear - heads agitation for secession. Well, he seems to be enjoying in abundance what he requested.
Now, the problem lies in the fact that, with this hate and bitterness he has planted - on fertile grounds I must say, the mentality of an average Ibo man is gradually changing. An average Nigerian is seing a fellow Nigerian of Ibo descent, while the Ibo man is gradually seing an enemy to be treated like one. If this persists, other Nigerians will start seing them in like manner and that's where war starts loading from. The quit notice points to that direction. But how prepared are the Ibos for another civil war? Little wonder some ethnic groups, communities, etc are dissociating themselves from his agitation.
Secondly, hatred and bitterness, we know, are psychological parameters as we all know. They also have that tendency of invading our subconscious, and informing our decisions on imulse. You wouldn't want to have a country you fought for, littered with such people, would you? If you are done eating, is it not to just wash your hand and disembark? Must you condemn the food to show you've had enough? If you are tired of work, you resign, not condemn the entire arrangement.
Those said, Nnamdi Kanu could be leading the Ibos to destruction; by starting a war they cannot finish, and planting seeds of destruction (hatred and bitterness) in his people. Which, even if they eventually leave, could affect them negatively. My opinion though. |
Politics › Re: Why Nnamdi kanu Is Not The Messiah by pauljumbo(m): 9:28am On Jul 01, 2017 |
with this post you have just acknowledged him as a messiah You don't write article about people you dont respect or regard. Kanu is advocating an ideology if you have better ideology lets engage him. The more we try to attack kanu the messenger and not attack his message the popular and more powerful he will become. Happy new month lustychima: Biafra has been on the lips of many especially those of us from the eastern part of the nation owning to the alleged marginalization of the people from that region.
But the question is, is the eastern region marginalized? Yes Are they the only region marginalized? No Is biafra the solution to this marginalization? Hell no
Till date alot of reasonable sons and daughters of the Igbo extraction are shying away From the course including myself which has attracted lots of negative remarks towards their person
A typical ipob member is filled with so much venom, anger and malice, ready to insult anybody at anytime without regard to your age and status for simply not buying into his utopia nation. Which is same thing their so called leader stand for.... All most in all his video you will see him cursing one individual or throwing tantrums at one group or the other. Nnamdi manu has show he stands against anything called due process and diplomacy making us imagine what our region will look like when he achieve his biafra
His call for no election in the east has already shown us that he will be our monarch, the alpha and omega, the man with the final say, even without knowing right to vote and be voted for is respected in almost all the nation of the world.
Secondly, his style of leadership has shown there won't be need for any elective position in the east coz him alone can decide d fate of the five states of the eastern region which is examplified in the kind of insult he marshals out to constituted authority both in the east and Nigeria at large
Thirdly, it takes more than hate speech and insult to be a nation, we expected him by now to have shown us his economic blueprint that will show the same issues faced in Nigeria won't be repeating itself, or are we to expect chukwu okike abiama to feed the thousand of easterners in the federal civil service that will lose their job?
In conclusion, I feel restructuring this nation to meet the yearnings of every group (arewa, oduduwa, niger deltans, biafra) that make up the nation will be in the best interest of all, not d seceding being championed by an unproductive fellow who spent all his life outside d shores of this country, came back empty handed now trying to use biafra to massage his bruised ago
Before they start screaming pls am from ideato south of IMO state, so don't insult the Yorubas (afonjas) and my well meaning igbos should condemn this act of rascality in the name of biafra
Note: Even our great leader ojukwu contested for president of our great nation after supporting the likes of olu falea and olusola sariki for president, so he also believed in nigeria

obailala: How could you be confusing the mere social banters between Nigeria vs Ghana/Kenya with the rabid hate filled inter-ethnic/tribal abuses prevalent in Nigeria lately?.. Are you for real? so is that a good reason to seize the properties of Igbos if biafra becomes a country? what you are saying is because we have millions of people who hate buhari and also abuse him because he is fulani man he should seize their properties because he is the president of Nigeria? we are seeing this hatred because we try to force the igbos in the union of Nigeria Biafra is an ideology that should be engaged with logic not threath of igbo man will lose his property if biafra becomes a country |

The insults you see online is as a result of a people who don't want to be in union with you How long are we going to keep suppressing a mandate millions of people believe in if this government succeed in making Nnamdi Kanu forget about Biafra agitation a new leader will spring up i dont know why we are afraid that secession will bring doom to Nigeria there are several countries that experience secession they are better off today so if the Igbos want to secede we should encourage it without bitterness because am seeing some politicians will start using the Biafra agitation to heat up the polity obailala: Nigerians own properties around the world and reserve the rights and freedom to enjoy ownership of the properties they own in those foreign countries. However, what you and many others fail to take note of is that Nigerians do not go about online and on TV, throwing 10,000 insults and abuses and destruction threats to the citizens of those countries day and night, Nigerians do not go about calling those countries zoos and neither do we call the inhabitants (from fathers to mothers to kids) animals. If that were the case, I doubt we would be able to peacefully own properties in those countries.
I think this is quite commonsensical, hence why smart people think ipob organisation and its cult followers are doing more harm than good to Igbos (especially those living outside Igboland). However, the ipob guys dont really care cos most of them are domiciled in the south east and care less about the welfare or investments of Igbos like the Op who invested their entire lives outside Igboland. |

Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu A Threat To Our Peaceful Existence As Igbos by pauljumbo(m): 11:03am On Jun 30, 2017 |
Biafra does not mean you will loss properties you own in Nigeria Nigerian own property all over the world using loosing properties because of secession it wount happen I IAMMUIC: My name is Macquis Udochukwu and I'm Igbo by ethnicity. I was born and brought up in lagos, in other words I've been in Lagos all my life. So also my parents. My parents have invested so much in Lagos, and telling them to leave behind all their investments and properties behind and move over to the region Biafra really doesn't settle well with me. Igbos Keep complaining about them being marginalized, but are they the only ones who have been marginalized in Nigeria?
I recently stumbled on an article where the so-called Messiah of the igbos Nnamdi Kanu openly declared his plans to bring Nigeria to ruins, a threat he plans to carry out by making sure no president emerges in 2019. According to him, all Biafran states will boycott the 2019 presidential election.
One thing I know for certain is that the only thing that can separate Nigeria is war. Another Civil war! It was also the case with Sudan and other countries that suffered secession as we all know it. What really happened in Sudan? After South Sudan had gotten the much desired freedom, was there ever peace within their walls? If at all the goal of Nnamdi Kanu and a handful of igbos are achieved, will Biafra ever be a nation of peace, stability and prosperity?
Truth is, the problem with Nigeria isn't Nigeria, a particular set of tribe or people, it is man himself. Man by nature is corrupt as we all know, Nnamdi Kanu himself isn't free corruption or human flaws. He too would disappoint as many as put their trust in him. We live in a flawed world overflowing with flawed men, igbos and every other tribe should understand this and live with it. Biafra is not going to be heaven or Canaan land as some are programmed to believe. There would be problems, such as we're currently experiencing in Nigeria.
I'm not comfortable with Nnamdi saying things on behalf of the entire Igbo nation as though he speaks for the entire Igbo nation. Let a poll be conducted to decide which Igbos are in support of Nnamdi's selfish action and those not in support. This would go a long way to correct the impression that all igbos are in full support of his actions. By the way, I wonder how Biafra would survive without the support of the Niger Delta region.
As Nigerians let us be wise and not be a gullible people. Let us not act like lower animals-the likes of cows and sheep, programmed to never think, but just follow anyone who leads them not minding the credibility or motif of the said shepherd.
God bless Nigeria and those dwelling within her walls! |
