VISA ALERT WITH TIMELINE

June 6, 2024
I submitted application for Visitors Visa together with my wife. I submitted it online on the IRCC Portal

June 7, 2024:
I received Biometric Submission Letter for both of us. Note that I used my account to apply for my wife and I.

10 June, 2024:
We submitted Our Biometrics ar the VFS office in Abuja

******VERY LONG PERIOD OF SILENCE******

25 November, 2024:
Visa approved on the portal and Passport Request Letter as early as 5:30am

25 November, 2024 by 11:30am:
My wife and I submitted our passport at the VFS office in Abuja

27 November, 2024 at 2:45pm: We received notification of passport Collection from VFS.

28 November 2024 at 11:30am: We arrived at the VFS office in Abuja and collected our passport.

**I was given 10 years. My visa will expires in 2034

** My wife was given 2 years because her passport had only 2 years left before expiration.

Thought it was a very slow process that took us about 5 Months 3 weeks, the final result was worth it as I won't need to apply Canada visa again till 2034.

NB:
** It was our first Canada visa
** We Visited UK once last year and still have 2 years valid UK visa in our passports.
** We recently visited Australia in February this year (2024) and had a 1 year Australian valid Visa.
**We've also visited Turkey, Dubai and Maldives in 2022.

Hope this timeline can help someone.

1) if u did ur biometrics in Abuja and want to submit in lagos, u can do a walk-in but u would be paying for transmission fee of abt 33k. But recently there has been post abt people who did biometrics in Lagos, submitted in lagos and were still asked to pay for transmission fee. I dont knw why that happened.

2) yes, d same courier can take all of them at once. Just package everything in one big envelope, but u had to seperate it in different envelope b4 packaging it in one big envelope.

3) 1. Passport
2. Ppr request letter
3. 2 passport data page
4. Consent letter
5. The biometrics letter u were given d day u did biometrics.

What and what did you pay for and what are the documents you submitted?

Pls I did my biometrics in Abuja but I am in lagos now, where do I submit my passport? Must it be in same Abuja I did biometrics or I can submit in lagos by walking into vfs office? Is there any fee to be paid if I am to walk in to submit in person? Plus I have an infant too ( not up to 1yr)

2) it's a family application of 4 people, if I am to submit to Abuja, can same courier take the 4 passport at once since it is group application?

3) what and what is needed for submission along with the passport

As spouse of international student in canada applying for visit visa to visit spouse in canada , the visit visa will only be issue based on the validity of the student permit of the husband/wife in canada not on passport validity.

Good morning all, in spirit of keeping the thread going.
My visa was approved this morning
I have a valid and expired U.S. visas and previous biometrics from 2021. My previous attempt to renew took time and I withdrew the application and lost the visa fee
I submitted again in June (27th)
Approved August (23rd)

Good morning house. Pls I was denied Canada tourist visa Feb this year and I'd like to reapply now. I have biometrics already, just want to know if that's going to speed up the processing time unlike those that are just going for biometrics or it's still the same processing time.Thanks

Why una no dey do this thing una self? Over the past few days, we've been thrashing the issue of an agent who used the same POF account for several people and got some banned for misrepresentation. Never trust an agent. Some of them have no idea what they are doing.

It's so painful that I got to know about this thread early this year, next application na DIY straight up. Thanks boss 🙏

These guys always come here to accuse the agents of wrongdoing whenever things don't go their way, even though they are aware that their agents will fabricate and use fake documents on their behalf.

They are looking for an easy way to get a visa, and they believe the agents are the only way. Let them bear the outcome of whatever they get from their dealings with agents .

You can do better than this please. I got to know about nairaland this year and I started this visa application stuff last year September, and I want to believe same thing applicable to some of us here.. so you can't just conclude that all of them are aware that the agent is fake and will patronise them. Check other peoples comment and yours. You can always correct in love and not condemning them sir..

Those agents are devil in human skin. Only God knows which statement of account he submitted with your application. However for you to be on a safer side pls get your gcms to know the basic reasons why your application was refused. So that you can work on them before you apply again .

Good evening my people, pls what route can I use to relocate to Canada fast aside express entry, as it is I am a graduate, my wife has a master's degree too but would have loved her to do her PhD as an option but this POF thing is kinda expensive as we have a little baby, pls I need advice on what to do to relocate,there are lots of route but time consuming. More reason I'll never use agent for anything again in my life. I asked him them about the POF and he said he used more than enough funds, only to discover he used 6,000 Canadian dollar wtf.

Not too early but you must try to work on the reasons the vo refused you. Home ties, property, employment etc. And mostly account. Was it conference or tourism?

VO said no strong ties and POF.. yes it's tourist

Thanks bro..same thing happened to me 2days ago. Have been on this application sincce September 2023 and this guy refused to drop login details and all and he won't pick calls nor return chats anymore until I carry DSS and soldiers go meet am o.. only to see that they've refused my visa since February and he didn't tell me. Anytime you hear agent, my brother run run run o. They can ruin ones life..
