FG has to do something serious about this irrational act by ARCON and NIA. They don't bother to stop quacks from practising rather they are eager to ensure that graduates from polytechnics won't get licence for practising after 5 wonderful years in school even after all the rigorous processes .

Fellow Nairalanders, what can we HND holders in architecture do to salvage our hope of practising in Nigeria? ARCON's (Architects registration Council of Nigeria) constitution is clearly a disgraceful, dehumanising and unacceptable one, it has created a binary divide among Bsc and Hnd holders in it's professional practise.
You could see the reactions from fellow architects when i echoed against the neo-slavery act that have been enshrined in the constitution of both NIA and ARCON.

Read the attachment to see what this irrational act by ARCON looks like, as well as numerous young architect's reaction about the policy which has hindered most young architects to practise without bothering of joining the lopsided institutions.

What is the way forward?
must everything be divided and lopsided in Nigeria?
Should we create our own institution and regulatory body because we graduated from another institution that isn't a university?
Architecture has always been a technical course which you obtain more in a polytechnic, why the Dichotomy in NIA and ARCON?
