. For your information, Hausa/Fulani is not the only ethnic group in Nigeria.
Thank you. Some ignorant people think the Hausas are the only tribe in Northern Nigeria. There are more than a 100 diiferent ethnic groups in the North. Kebbi state has about 25 different tribes

First Republic- Ceremonial President without Executive Power.

Second Republic- A Spare tire office aka VP.

As for the SP, Perm Secs etc, you mean ONLY Igbos filled it? All those are secondary appointment. I don't care who becomes SP or SGF. The fundamental is equal representation in the parliament. You can keep other positions
either ceremonial or unceremonial
either by election or selection, the fact still remains that the ibos nay the hausas and yoruba and to a fair extent the ijaws, have all be reckoned with in the political equation in Nigeria.

When is it going to be the turn of the Baccham, Kemberi, Gbagyi, Bassa, Koma etc. All these people are all Nigerians too.

Fyi, the Shuwa arabs havent gotten any senatorial/legislative seat in the history of nigeria

Even the Igbos that are part of the majority is heavily MARGINALISED. In fact, it is the most marginalised. So what are you saying?
In the first republic, the ibos had the first president of Nigeria

in the second republic, the ibos had the vice president

in the fourth republic, the ibos have had 5 senate presidents, they currently have the SGF, deputy senate president, deputy speaker, several ministers, DG's, perm secs etc.

THE SHUWA ARABS HAVENT BEEN GIVEN ANY ANY ANY ANY POLITICAL POST IN NIGERIA EITHER BY APPOINTMENT, ELECTION, OR SELECTION.

NIGERIA SHOULD STOP MARGINALISING THE SHUWA ARABS. ENOUGH OF POLITICAL INEQUALITY IN NIGERIA

I disagree.

Nigerian are marginalizing Nigerians. It is all a matter of interest to all of us. The Modakekes and Ife will love to think they are the same until someone is running for office take the Osun elections as an example.

Imagine Abia sacking every "non-indigene" Igbo descent or not.

Imagine the Ngwas saying "Those who work against their interest (in the same Abia) will die).

Nigerians are clowns as even within tribes people are marginalized. In the East, the Catholics and Anglicans still have issues.

Ilawe and Ado still has issues.

Even the tribes in the SS are not united
Yes i know. I understand your point clearly. I just wanted to flow along with their warped logic.

Two days ago there ws a thread on the fp about how the other ibos hate and marginalise the ibos from ebonyi state

His bigotry is politically motivated. While he might not hate or dislike any tribe, he is willing to throw mud at them for his political interests.

Months back this same person was here insulting Igbo because he felt his cause was against them.
Today, they are his best friend because he needs their political will behind him.
His is very similar to Jimi Agbaje

See through the hypocrisy and eat popcorn grin
his hypocrisy stinks to the heavens

here he is amking case for the ibos; the same ibos that have the SGF, deputy senate president, senate speaker, several ministers, D.G's, and perm secs while the Shuwa Arabs dont have a single local governemnt councillor

So, Igbos should keep quiet while Hausas and Yorubas marginalise them via concocted census figures! What you may not know is that what you call Igbo is an amalgam of various tribes and dialects!! Minorities exist there too!

More so, if a major tribe like the Igbos can be allowed to be marginalised, where is the hope for minorities?

you are spewing hogwash

The Hausa, Ibos, Ijaws and Yorubas are the one marginalising the minority groups in Nigeria

The Shuwa Arabs can settle their differences with their Fulani brothers. We in the Lower Niger we have our own groups Urhobo, Ijaw, Igbo, Esan, Ogoni, Isoko, Efik, Ibibio etc and we will solve our internal challenges. We are talking of balance of regional representatives
The title of your thread reads 'POLITICAL INEQUALITY IN NIGERIA'. I dont know how/where this fictitious Lower Niger came in.

The Shuwa Arabs have suffered enough political inequality in Nigeria, its high time they are given a fair share of natioanl recognition too

According to the OP, they are in the North hence are Hausa/Fulani
Barcanista is a confused hack. Do you see how he prevaricated the case of the Shuwa Arabs that i highligted? Yet he is making case for the ibos who have enjoyed all political priveledges alonfside the Yorubas and Hausas

The Shuwa arabs havent been given any political position since the creation of Nigeria

Igbos are a majority tribe! Look through reality not a haze of insecurity! He was comparing commensurate to expected population size!!!

So because the ibos are a majority tribe they should be given a special treatment right? But i thought he ws talking about equality

The Shuwa Arabs should be neglected

The Bacchama should be abandoned

The Kemberi should be forsaken

so where then is the equality when the minoritites arent attended to?

WE KNOW YOU ARE NOT A BIGOT, WE ALSO KNOW THAT YOU ARE MAKING CASE FOR POLITICAL EQUALITY IN NIGERIA

WHEN WILL THE SHUWA ARABS BE RECKONED WITH IN NIGERIA? THEY HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY POLITICAL POSITION EITHER BY APPOINTMENT, ELECTION OR SELECTION.

WHY IS NIGERIA MARGINALISING THE SHUWA ARABS

I have been to Nassarawa and Abia states, there is no way anybody can tell me that Nassarawa is more populated than Abia state. The last census was a charade.
I am happy you mention Nasarawa state. Do you know that they are about THIRTY DIFFERENT ETHNIC GROUPS IN NASARAWA STATE? The ibos are the only indigenous tribe in Abia.

How have the various ethinic nationalities in Nasarawa been 'represented' in the Nigerian political equation? They include:

Fulani
Eggon
Egbira
Afo
Agatu
Akeye
Alago
Baribari
Bassa
Gado
Gbagyi etc

WHEN WILL THE SHUWA ARABS, ANOTHER MINORITY ETHNIC GROUP IN NIGERIA BE GIVEN THE PRESIDENCY? ATLEATS AN IJAW HAS RULED NIGERIA FOR FIVE YEARS, WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE THE TURN OF THE SHUWA ARABS?

THEY HAVE NOT BE GIVEN ANY MINISTERIAL POSITION IN THE HISTROY OF NIGERIA; THEY ARE ABSENT IN THE SENATE, CIVIL SERVICE ETC.

WHEN WILL NIGERIA STOP MARGINALISING THE SHUWA ARABS?

People are so wired up in their tribal issues that they do not realize that the North is not all Hausa/Fulani but a mixture of a lot of tribes which appear similar but are not.

some of them are just too ignorant.

Do you know that in Kebbi state alone they are more than 25 different ethnic groups apart from the Hausas, some of which have not been given any political position since the independence of Nigeria

Your talk of tribal sentiment is flawed. Didn't you see the demography of every major ethnic groups in the Original post? By the way what do you mean whipping tribal sentiment when I never attacked nor accuse any tribe but I clearly faulted the system? The system is so unfavorable to me. is Kaduna more populated than Rivers State? Is Katsina more populated than Rivers State? Are the Igbos such a minority that the system make them appear? Can't you see from the two countries I used as a yardstick?
The Shuwa Arabs of Birnin Kebbi(?) have not been given any ministerial/senatorial/gubernatorial slot in the history of democrcy in Nigeria. The Koma people of Adamawa state are missing in the enitre Nigerian political equation. What say you about them?

I'm not one of them but I think the Igbos, in this context, are grossly marginalized. This is injustice and it should be addressed asap.
The ibos have been marginalised, right? What about the Junkuns, Efiks, Kamberis, Bacchamas, Tivs, Momoye, Shuwa Arabs, Higgis, and all other members of the more than 250 ethnic groups In Nigeria? I guess they are all irrelevant
